I sort of disagree. It can be helpful to lower your standards a little bit as a beginner and even intermediate. Experience counts for a lot. Some results are better than no results... but I personally wouldn't lower them to the point you're with a chick you find repulsive. No point in that imo.

Some of this is true, but most of it's bull shit. The way you behave and the words you say absolutely matter. Choosing not to think about it doesn't make it matter any less. It might make you less self conscious, which may help, but if it means your game becomes way worse that's a big net negative.

Sounds like you just want a guy who has drive and some sort of goal or purpose to his life, which I think is a good thing to look for in a man. One other thing I'd say though is you shouldn't be worried about if your standards are "unfair" to men. It's more about not missing out on a guy you would really like based on one factor that might not be quite as important as your initial post made it seem. There will always be something you can do to improve yourself. I don't think it's a bad thing, but I don't think any guy wants to compete with their girlfriend/wife to see who is most successful.
