The thing is if you push the second button you push it volutarily. In the case of maternity/paternity leave it would be imposed by law, therefore being forced "charity" in a way. I wouldn't mind if businesses included it in its contract and therefore it was consensual between employer and employee, but imposing it by law is stupid, specially if you consider that that pay comes discounted from the employees paycheck (as the employer must account for that paid leave).

It's precisely as you stated, domestic violence is regarded differently wether it is perpetrated by a man or by a women, being way harsher in the case of men. It assumes men attack women purely because they are woman and the presuntion of innocene is somewhat lacking in some cases. The rest of the laws are pretty much gender neutral thank god.

Of course, she is far from being as successful as Phelps as she isn't as versatile as him, however she is as dominant as Phelps was in what she swims. I cannot judge on the next sentence as I am not from the US but from what is extracted in this post that seems to be the case.

It was just to add some perspective, I'm not from the US so I can't judge on the treatment she receives from the media. Although as you point out she is far from being the "greatest swimmer of all time", maybe the greatest FEMALE swimmer of all time could be argued but I think that is yet to be seen.

Agree completely, they wouldn't agree on allowing muslims, for instance, to throw gays of roofs for example because it follows their religious beliefs, they would agree that is ridiculous. Therefore the only difference in that case and circumcision is that they really don't care that much about the latter.

Men's issues addressed? Apart from the critique, at the very beginning mostly, of certain Libertarians not agreeing to what the MRM stands for, I don't believe Shoeonhead has described herself as libertarian however, this touches absolutely nothing of the MRM IMO. I hadn't even heard that last part, well the woman that went to speak didn't do a good job in explaining her point, however it is said that in so many public media the proposal has been generally accepted and she still has to backpedall... Female aspirants to become cops have lower physical requirements than men. Whilst I understand that females have lower physical capacity and that means we should create segregation regarding sports, creating different standards for police and other seccurity areas is quite discriminatory and quite dangerous.

I understand what your point is now, but they literrally do what you are saying they don't. They ask for more women in politics and in high circles of businesses and require quotas in high paying jobs, although as you say, not for the "harder" ones. It has been demostrated that gap is not nearly as big as you make it to be, but I agree that that men are most likely to be seen as a threat in case of conflict and that's why they get targeted. In that case it must be shown that women are not that likely to be victims and the focus should be on protecting males or tackle the issue on why these conlicts (if they are conflicts) happen and prevent them.

Totally agree with all you have said. I personally don't find the video specially offensive, but the double standard really makes my blood boil honestly.
