Literally everyone is going to pick #2. This would be like asking a guy "would you rather have a woman who is naturally gorgeous, or a woman who is gorgeous because she's had $100K of plastic surgery done?".

bitter projection You basically hit the nail on the head. Jealousy is an ultra powerful emotion, and often the easiest way to overcome it is by trying to tear down the person you're jealous of. "They're not really happy, she's probably cheated on him a bunch" "They're going to get divorced anyway" "He's a beta and she's only settling for him after years of riding the cock carousel' etc. etc. I'm also firmly of the belief that a lot of RPers watch WAY too much porn, and it begins to infect their …

I've never done full NoFap, but I cut down significantly on both porn use and the frequency that I jerked off, and it was great. I think a big part of it was switching to only masturbating when I was really horny and was having trouble focusing because of that, as opposed to just jerking off because I was bored. And when I did masturbate, I stayed away from porn. Sex was the biggest improvement. I found that my erections were much stronger, and I was lasting longer.

Why do you think women were having parties where they got together as a group to go watch "Magic Mike"? A lot of women I know described "300" as basically being "porn for women". Do you think women only like Chris Hemsworth for his face, and his body has nothing to do with it? I think where you might be confused is that women generally don't like the roided-out, Mr. Olympia looking guys, who look like they're about to explode at any moment. Lifting is the most given advice I've ever seen for men…

Are there other reasons why the dynamic is pushed? It's largely pushed by the guys who think they're going to benefit from it. In other words, guys in their 20s who want to believe they're going to be having sex with 24 year olds when they're 48. There's a lot of delusional guys out there who think because they've done decent for themselves financially and lift weights that they're instantly going to be George Clooney when they get older.

As in guys who just show up by themselves, without a girl. Think about it logically: if someone posted "orgy for men and women, all are invited", there would probably be about 20x as many guys who would show up as women.

A whole lot of it is that these guys watch way too much porn and begin to think it's real. Heck, even mainstream movies about College make it seem like every woman in college is a bikini model, and every guy is sleeping with 2-3 new girls a week. Sex parties and clubs do exist, but if you think it's going to look like "Brazzers house" you are probably going to be in for a huge disappointment. And also, they very rarely let in single guys. Really, the only place where I'd say uninhibited sex is h…

That means women get their sexual desires met in relationships and men don't. Married women are less likely than married men to be say they are sexually satisfied in their relationship. https://www.today.com/health/ivillage-2013-married-sex-survey-results-1D80245229

People on this sub (and elsewhere, but especially on this sub) take the concept of "unconditional love" too far. It doesn't mean literal unconditional love, that literally no matter what a person does you are required to continue loving them. It means loving somebody and sticking by their side when they go through difficult times that may challenge your love and attraction for them. It means not running for the hills the moment your husband loses his job. It means not ditching your wife if she g…

If I man has/does great things he is a great man. Does great things might make a guy a great man, but has great things? There are plenty of guys out there who are lazy, entitled douchebags who have ultra-rich parents who "have" great things (expensive cars, money, live in deluxe apartments, etc.), but I wouldn't consider them to be 'great'. Hell, half of the most popular male Instagram 'influencers' are just guys who have ultra-rich parents.

should we instead focus of the narrative we feed our male children going foward? FWIW, as an older person on here (late 30s) I feel like society and the media already does a better job of this than what I was heavily exposed to growing up. SOOO many movies and TV shows I saw growing up had the old "hot girl ditches her douchebag jock boyfriend because she falls for the sweet shy guy" trope, or had girls falling in love with guys who were so nervous to talk to the girls they could barely get a wo…

It depends on what you mean by "tired" and "curious", but it's important to understand the context of marriage in those days. Back then, unless you were very wealthy, it was basically impossible to live single as a bachelor/bachelorette in the way we think of it now. Without modern appliances and technology, much of the stuff that we do now that can be done quickly (like laundry, cooking, washing dishes, cleaning, etc.) were borderline a full-time job. This is why many women then lived at home u…

why don't I ever hear men complain about the lack of male specific birth control options? I hear them talk about it fairly frequently, but most men know that the reality is that effective birth control for men is really, really hard to do on a purely scientific basis. It's trying to stop one egg, one time a month vs having to stop literally billions of sperm. A lot of this depends on the guy in question. Every guy I know who was college educated, had career aspirations, etc. was VERY careful abo…

I personally don't think it is (though other people might disagree). My point is that by saying: ...a desirable woman is always going to be with guys who want to get it in, so the thought that there might be some porn issue with guys doesn't even cross their mind. You're basically saying "if a guy has issues with porn, it's because his SO isn't desirable enough". It's the same way people say "oh well if a guy's SO is hot enough, he won't cheat". Except that does happen. Imagine not being able to…

I can't speak for all older men (obviously), but probably yes. Most 45 year old guys are aware that while they might find that 22 year old woman incredibly hot, they likely have next to nothing in common with her.

What if she actually didn't like anal but did it out of agreaableness ? That's why I said "happily did anal all the time with her ex". And you're right, it could be something as simple as her being more firm on her boundaries as she ages, but I still imagine it would make most men question how it was this ex was so much more convincing than he is. And don't get me wrong: I'm not saying that this fear is 100% entirely logical. I think most common relationship fears have irrational parts to them.

I can't imagine a woman being fine with her boyfriend saying "You have great tits" or something. Serious question: have you ever been in a relationship? If you're in a monogamous relationship with someone and they get offended at you complimenting their body, you need to get the hell out of that relationship.

I really don't know how much interest older men have in younger women. Depends what you mean by 'interest'. Interest in dating them? Not necessarily a ton. Being sexually attracted to them? Quite a lot. In terms of physical looks, men basically prefer women in their early 20s no matter what age they are, while women tend to prefer men around their own age https://metro.co.uk/2019/02/22/men-regardless-age-will-always-attracted-women-early-20s-8718590/ The catch, of course, is that this is only ta…

Other countries like Japan and Sweden are far, far superior to the US in terms of the moral quality of men you will meet. Japan seems a strange example to use here, considering that sexlessness in Japan (among both men and women) is considered nearly a national crisis. https://www.forbes.com/sites/ericmack/2019/04/07/a-quarter-of-japanese-adults-under-40-are-virgins-and-the-number-is-increasing/?sh=5baf2fa57e4d https://www.cnn.com/2016/09/20/asia/japanese-millennials-virgins/index.html

I mean turning someone down if their 5’4 instead 6’0 like what most sex workers do. I know basically nothing about sex work, but what escort or prostitute is going to say "I refuse to have sex with you, even if you give me money, because you're not tall enough"? If anything I feel like it's sort of opposite. "Loving yourself" (to me) basically just means being confident in yourself, and I've known not particularly attractive guys who had lots of success dating largely, because they were hyper confident in themselves. With women, OTOH, while being confident in yourself is great, confidence cannot magically make a physically unattractive woman attractive.

OP is being somewhat over the top, but some of the sex stuff taps into a very fundamental fear that a lot of guys have, especially as they get into a serious relationship. Basically, it's the fear that while your Partner may love you, think you're a great provider, husband, boyfriend, father, whatever, she lacks raw sexual attraction for you. So if you're in a relationship and your GF, wife whomever, tells you "oh I don't do anal", and then you find out she happily did anal all the time with her…

One thing that never gets talked about (for the obvious reason that we'll likely never know) that I think could definitely be a contributing factor, is what these couple's sex lives were like. Sure, Heidi Klum is gorgeous and most men would cut off a finger to sleep with her, but for all we know she could have been withholding sex from her husband for months at a time. She could be an incredibly boring lay who doesn't want to do anything but missionary and refuses to give blowjobs. Maybe it wasn…

In my experience, the "Quiet Librarian" stereotype is 100% true. All of the women I've been with who were by far the biggest freaks in bed and had the highest sex drives were ones that were relatively quiet and shy in their day to day lives. Granted, that doesn't automatically mean she's actually slept with more guys than the party girl, but it does show you that just because a girl wears short skirts and hits the clubs every weekend doesn't mean she's some kind of sex fiend.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 03:05 PM

That was my thought. If the guy said "sure whatever", it could either be evidence that he's so confident in his relationship and how attractive he is (or how unattractive this guy is) that he has no fear that she would do anything with the other guy, or evidence that he's a complete doormat and too afraid to stand up for himself.

If you told Jeff Bezos "tomorrow your net worth will be $5 million" he would be extremely unhappy. If you told the vast majority of Americans the same thing, they would be elated. My point? Happiness is very relative and subjective. Mental illness isn't necessarily a good indicator because we've (arguably) gotten much better at detecting and diagnosing mental illnesses than we were decades ago, so the rates are higher. And this is going to sound messed up, but increases in the amount of mental i…

A lot of it is probably the proliferation of Instagram and other social media. Guys with like, perfect hair and faces. This is heavily a cultural change. Even 15 or so years ago, a guy who spent tons of time on his hair, skincare, choosing snazzy outfits, etc. was seen as sort of gay (it's pretty much where the idea of 'metrosexual' came from). Even the gym aspect was sort of that way: you were supposed to work out to become bigger and stronger, not because you wanted to look like a male model.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/21 02:28 PM

Men like pretty women; women like good looking guys. Seems fair. I'd argue that in this case it's not that simple. For example, if you have one guy who spends 8 more hours a week than another guy in the gym, but the other guy spends that time working overtime and has more money and is on a better career path, which one is more attractive? A guy who spends a huge amount of time in the gym, focused on his diet, and on his hair and skincare routine, but lives in a 1br apartment, is arguably less at…

Honestly, this relationship seems pretty doomed even beyond the dick size/bedroom prowess thing. -You're not necessarily going to marry the person who is best in bed (hell, from what I've heard most guys say that their best sex partner was fucking nuts and they would never marry them), and it's not the end of the world. Chart is behind a paywall, but even then what you've posted still supports basically all the points I was making. -These stats includes robbery under 'violent crime' (not sure why), so the numbers are a bit suspect. It's also worth noting that men are much less likely to report DV, so that probably skews things a bit further. -As I mentioned, rape and sexual assault is rarely committed by strangers, it's almost always committed by people victim knows personally. Less than 1% difference in victimization rates isn't "significantly" more likely. They enjoy it much more because they receive it far less. Even a moderately attractive woman basically walks through life in a situation where a sizable majority of the men she meets (or hell, who even just see her) would have sex with her, given the opportunity. Only a fraction of a fraction of a percent of men can say the same thing for the women he meets or see him.

Just because people feel a certain way doesn't make it logical. While women are sexually assaulted more than men, almost all of it happens with men they know personally. A stranger yanking a woman into an alley and raping her at knifepoint is incredibly rare. On the flip side, for all the talk about how much more women need to worry about safety, men are significantly more likely to be victims of violent crime (hell, ALL crime except rape/sexual assault) than women are.

Most media is written for women because they're the prime consumer. What are you talking about? For the longest time, the 18-34 year old male demographic was considered the 'coveted' demographic for movies and TV (this was in the days before streaming). It isn't until pretty recently that this has begun to change. Even now, something like 80% of writers are men. If most media was made for women, don't you think companies would be hiring way more women? The movies only ever focus on a fictional m…

Sure, if you want to get REALLY technical, then you're right, not everyone has the same tastes. Settling for someone who makes 100K vs the ex making 200k but had a busy lifestyle is acceptable to men. Settling sexually is not. I'm intrigued by this. So if you were dating a woman and you found out that she thought her ex was better in bed than you, even if only a tiny bit, would you just dump her on the spot? Would you re-double your bedroom efforts?

You think those fake moans and screams are in any way indicative that any man at all ACTUALLY cares about female pleasure? Of course they are, because otherwise why even bother doing them? If all the (guy) viewer cared about was seeing an attractive woman get fucked, the girl wouldn't even bother making any noise in the scene. Is she actually feeling a ton of pleasure? Empathize with them on what specifically? On dating? And what kind of women are we talking about here? No I’m saying men don’t obsess about ugly women the way they obsess about fat women. Probably because they feel worse for ugly women because ugly women can't really do much about their situation (short of an extreme like surgery), while fat women can. They don't do this with women w ugly faces or women with shitty personalities (which are changeable). I'm confused: are you implying that being fat isn't a changeable characteristic? If anything, it's far more easily changeable than personality or face. "no man wants to have your belly resting on their forehead during oral sex". It went viral w men agreeing until men and women started pointing out thats... not a thing. The angles don't work. Bellys dont hang down over genitals when someone is la…

A lot of it depends on other factors (are you married, do you have kids, etc.) but making $100K before taxes in SF is a struggle. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/theres-one-major-us-city-where-making-100000-wont-even-cover-basic-bills-2019-05-17

Sure, but a guy who is $200k in debt, has a $50k a year job, and a bunch of maxed out credit cards is not high status or well off, even if he can give the illusion of being so by buying bottle service or renting an Aston Martin.

How do you think women can tell how much money a guy actually has/makes? Particularly if they are self-employed Well, here's the easy thing I'll tell you: if you're hanging around women whom the FIRST thing they think of when they meet any guy is "how wealthy is he?", go find other women. Despite what TRP might tell you, not all women are gold diggers. Sure, all things being equal a woman will pick a wealthy guy over a not-wealthy guy, but if the only thing she cares about is how much money he h…

Very large numbers of people are qualified to do this relatively unskilled labour (sure, skilled labour here is preferable). And yet the prices paid for this unskilled labor are very much higher than other unskilled labour. Just because something is unskilled doesn't necessarily mean it's common. I kind of see what you're getting at here, but even in this case wouldn't the argument be that you can have a threesome that other men envy? I'm sure there are guys who've been able to have threesomes with women whom most guys would want nothing to do with sexually.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 11:44 AM

Part of this depends on how you're defining 'casual sex'. If they mean like being a big-name celebrity, and basically being able to go out and reliably get laid any time you want (with attractive women), then yeah, that's a completely unrealistic goal for probably 99.99% of men out there. But being able to pull-off a ONS every few months? I think even for average guys who aren't particularly picky that's completely do-able with a some work.

Should kids have kids now, or not, and why aren't they? You should have kids if you want to and can reasonably take care of them, and don't have them if you don't want to or can't take care of them. It's really pretty simple. My issue is that a lot of people on Reddit have these (IMO) really misguided ideas about having kids and the economics of it nowadays. Ugly man hot woman is a trope for a reason. It's a trope because men are much more visually stimulated than women and want attractive women in movies/tv, while women generally don't care as much. This is especially true in the 18-24 year old male demographic, which for a long time was basically the key demographic that TV was aiming for. Vegans also living longer isn't because "vegan", it's because most people with the willpower to follow strict diets are going to weigh less. You could place those same people on a different also healthy diet and the outcome would likey be the same. Where is the controversy? I'd say it's two-fold, and it all emerged basically from pick-up artistry stuff. -The first was that the way women feel attraction for men is very different than men might think. The problem with this is that it takes into account ALL of the US, but most people don't date throughout the entire country, they date in their surrounding area. It's not THAT high. About 70% or so are overweight, about 45% are obese. It's also not just a US problem. Mexico has a higher obesity rate than the US, and the UK isn't far behind the US at this point. The numbers are still atrocious, but not 70% obese bad.

To me this seems counter-intuitive: if you're supposed to be confident in yourself, then you should be confident that the woman you've walked up to wants what you…

How do they think men and women start dating, if no one ever asks and flirting is evil? Good question. According to some people, if you're a genuinely nice guy and good person, you'll somehow magically just find dates. You know, women will see you on the other side of the coffee shop and just know by looking at you that you volunteer at homeless shelters and give money to charity and are kind to everyone, and they'll walk over and ask you out. If I'm being a little flippant here, it's on purpose…

I don't necessarily agree with OP on a lot of stuff, but it's 100% true that a lot of guys are raised on a steady diet of "men are scum and women are wonderful", and the idea that the way to make women like you is to be over-the-top chivalrous and nice. We're told constantly that things like being highly arrogant and just walking up to women and flirting with them is something only "douchebags" do, and that women hate it. But then any guy with eyes can see that this very often isn't true. Do nic…

Why is it so challenging for some men to see a drug-dealer’s girlfriend and recognize that her simply being hot isn’t enough to make her a good person? It's not just men here: pretty much everyone perceives attractive people to be smarter, more capable, and more trustworthy than unattractive people. It's called the Halo and Horn effect.

Why does it have to be over 35? If you're 40 there's nothing wrong with dating a 30 year old, and there's lot of women who are 30 and older who don't have kids. Now I'm not sure how many of them don't have kids and also don't ever want to have kids, but childless women over 30 are not nearly as rare as they used to be.

Yet I’ve had men I’d rate 3 and 4 and even 2 keep attempting seriously to get me to like them. This is a waste of time on their part but they seem to think they have a chance. Women are far more forgiving of looks in the men they date than the opposite. Don't these two seem in conflict with each other? If women are much more forgiving about looks than men are, why shouldn't those guys shoot their shot?

It's not the same because one has a realistic solution, and the other doesn't really. For one, how do you define "inequality" when it comes to dating? With income and wealth, it's relatively easy. If I make a million dollars a year and you make $50,000, our incomes are not equal. If my total assets equal $10 million and yours equal $1 million, our wealth is not equal. But when it comes to dating and relationships, this is almost completely subjective. If I have a hot girlfriend with an awful per…

A woman's vagina can stretch out to give birth to a baby, there's no such thing as "too big" from a human male. That seems like really weird logic, because having a baby fucking hurts. Because you have a reliable sex partner, you don't really have the thirst for sex all the time that comes from being completely single. Ironically, it actually made dating more fun as well, because it takes away a lot of the desperation aspect of it because you're not desperate to get laid.

Honestly, it's probably not going to happen. A lot of people are saying that subsidized childcare, Federally mandated maternity/paternity leave, free pre-K, all this stuff will increase people having kids, but the truth is that your financial status has almost nothing to do with whether or not you have kids. In the US (and the world, for that matter), the poorer you are, the more likely you are to have kids. https://www.statista.com/statistics/241530/birth-rate-by-family-income-in-the-us/ Hell, …

I think why some men don’t understand why it’s bad is because they see it as being desired and attractive but in reality it’s not actually like that. These men look at you like a piece of meat that has no feelings or autonomy. They pretend to be nice just to have the chance to use you and then discard you. They don’t actually desire “you” they just want access to a small part of you. I think they get it, but they just can't understand it, for lack of a better explanation. Like, tell a guy "hey, …

Men usually remember compliments for years because they are so rare. When I was 21, I was running one day without a shirt on, and a group of girls (high school or college age) drove by me and gave the me the "wooooooo!!!!". I was in really, really good shape, so it wasn't done mockingly. I'm 39 now, and I'm still riding that high.

I also hate the concept of "unrealistic beauty standards", but really the only ones I would say are particularly 'unrealistic' is use of photoshop and airbrushing on social media. Once upon a time, only magazines could really alter pictures digitally, so it was sort of understood when you saw pictures of models that there was some enhancement happening there. Nowadays, anyone with an Instagram profile can touch up or alter their pictures, which I think makes more women think that the look of XYZ…

Racism and sexism is still very much alive and integrated within our systems. I agree: we permit discrimination on the basis of sex and race in the form of diversity quotas, 'positive discrimination', and affirmative action. Those are literally integrated into the system, and they are racist and sexist. Getting rid of them doesn’t dismantle all the racism and sexism, now does it? No, getting rid of racism and sexism dismantles racism and sexism. Legalizing (and really, mandating) racism and sexi…

Unless you are trying to be a fitness model or rocket up the Corporate ladder by working 80+ hour weeks all the time, there is absolutely no reason you cannot have a career and also stay in really good shape. The main thing to remember is that being accomplished, having a career, etc. is great (unless the guy has super low self-esteem and is threatened by your success). I lurk here, and I see so many redpillers make this mistake by equating marriage to 'gambling.' But this appears to me to be a misunderstanding of statistics. A rate of 50% only describes the distribution of data. It says nothing about LIKELIHOODS. I do agree with you on this, but it still is technically a gamble. Why? http://www.gnxp.com/blog/2007/04/intercourse-and-intelligence.php Here's the one showing that men with criminal tendencies and histories have more sex partners than men who don't: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19350760/ But again, that's sort of against the point: do you define a man's 'worth' entirely by how sexually attractive he is to women?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/21 07:19 PM

All right goal posts, here we go: -in HS, the higher your IQ is, the more likely you are to be a virgin. -Men who drink alcohol and have criminal histories usually have more sex partners than men who don't. So, again, do you think that men with lower IQs who drink more and have criminal records have more "worth" than more intelligent men who don't, because there are more women who want to fuck them?

Despite being a known abuser Chris Brown has had absolutely zero issue getting more dates post-Rihanna. it doesnt even logically make sense, why and HOW would the top 20 % of men sleep with 80% of women. I'm not a Mathematician but the 'how' doesn't seem that complicated. If you have 100 men and 100 women, the top 20 (20%) of those guys are sleeping with 4 different girls each (the top 80). The 'why' is the whole point of 80/20: out of those 100 men, women only find 20 of them attractive enough to sleep with. I get it that 80/20 has issues, but the why and how seems fairly simple to me.

Like, I think most of us would agree that Zac Efron is pretty much the poster-child for a 'pretty boy', which we characterize as 'feminine'. But if we were to compare Zac Efron to, say, a big fat construction worker with a beer gut who drinks Miller Lite, dips, and drives a pick-up, Efron is probably 10x healthier and in better shape than that guy. I'd argue men generally do. As men get older: -their wealth generally increases. -They still retain the ability to father children -They don't suffer the physical side-effects of pregnancy. -Men's skin is thicker than women's and tends to age better. Women suffer from decreasing fertility, the physical affects of childbirth (assuming they had kids), and their skin is thinner and generally ages faster. IF The 80/20 rule was true, he should be a virgin at the age of 62. You're following 80/20 idea way too literally. Think about it: if the world operated 100% by 80/20 logic, 80% of men would die as virgins, or at the very least never get married or have kids. I'm confused on how Instagram or porn matters for this. I've had months at a time where I didn't have access to Instagram or internet porn, and I still thought about sex with women all the time, and when I saw attractive women I'd still have quick sexual thoughts about them.

I do not understand the orgasm obsession. If you talked to single guys at a bar, and asked them 'which would you prefer: you go home and have a ONS with a woman but don't cum, or you go home and jerk off and do cum?" I can almost guarantee you that 100% of the men would pick the ONS.

on the other hand women who create porn and become hookers are seen as empowered. I think this is a very small (and very loud) minority of sex-positive feminists who think being a sex worker is somehow 'empowering'. I think the more mainstream view is that while we shouldn't shame people for sex work, we shouldn't necessarily praise them either. I think the vast, vast majority of women have zero interest in getting fucked (on camera or off) for money.

I'd say 95% symptom, 5% cause. Porn might kill a small amount of a man's motivation to go out and get laid, but the vast, vast majority of men will always pick sex with a real-life woman over jerking off to porn. The only instances I can think of when a man would pick porn over a real woman is married men where their wife has either gotten super unattractive and/or their sex life has gotten exceptionally bad.

It's bad if it encourages obesity and other unhealthy behaviors. No one would be in support of a movement to have more pictures of models smoking cigarettes, so why is there a movement to have more pictures of morbidly obese models? Discounting that, the whole thing just seems like an exercise in naivete. Do you really think men are going to stop finding slim, fit women attractive because some 300 lb woman posts pictures in her underwear and proclaims #fatisbeautiful? It's really nothing more th…

What's the stumbling block here? Logistically, so many of these seem obvious. -Assuming you don't have kids, it's much harder to make plans, date, go do activities, etc. with someone who has a kid than someone who doesn't. -If you don't want kids, she's pretty much an instant no-go. -Assuming the kid's father is still in their life, you get to deal with the awkwardness of basically trying to help raise someone when you're not their real father, when their real father is still involved. If the fa…

Women saying ”I want a nice guy” or ”I want a good man” IS NOT CODE FOR ”I’ll fuck any guy who is nice to me. Open a door for me and I’ll open my legs!” No guy believes this, and this is the fundamental thing a lot of women get wrong when they do the old "nice guys think they're entitled to sex just for being nice!". That's not at all what they're saying. They're not saying "I'm a nice guy, therefore women should fuck me", they're saying "I am a nicer/more good guy than that guy over there who i…

For any man, there’s a woman hot enough to make them jeopardize everything if he thought he had a reliable chance. Reliable chance for what? To have sex with her one time? I'd say no, in that case. You may really really really want to fuck this particular co-worker (or whomever), but most decently intelligent guys have the self-control to not completely risk everything else in their life that they've worked for to have a ONS with a hot woman. If this was true, then any married man who had money …

You can be nice to your SO and your future family while being douchey to everyone else. In practical terms, that means you always prioritize your SO and your future family over the needs of strangers. In that case, though, you're not really nice, you're just being nice to one person in particular because you want something from them. Why do you think a lot of women say that how a guy treats waitstaff is a big deal, especially on a first date?

In terms of social media presence, I could not care less. In fact, probably the less active she is on social media, the better. The only time it would really matter is a woman who has absolutely zero friends. I don't want to have to be her entire social life, she needs to have hobbies, friends, and interests outside of just hanging out with me.

I find it odd that we proclaim that older men are "manipulating" younger women. Like, what the fuck do you think strippers, OF, and Hooters waitresses are doing, besides using their youth and beauty to extract money from less attractive (and very often, older) men? Is it 'manipulation' when a Hooters waitress acts like she really loves spending time with you so you'll give her a extra big tip?

I've always been curious how it works with Escorts (at least in the US): does it fly under the legal radar because nothing about it explicitly says they're paying you for for sex? But then the understanding is that you're supposed to have sex with them, and if you don't you, I don't know, get a 1 star Yelp review? I'm being a little joking but I honestly don't get the difference or how it is that Escort services seem to be able to function with no law enforcement interference.

Part of the problem is you need to define what you mean by "having sex" here. You're right: the vast majority of men will not die virgins. A man who does is not "average". But if a guy has sex once in his life and then never has sex again, do you consider him a "guy who is having sex" or not? What if he has sex once every 3 years? 5 years? What if he winds up in a relationship at one point and has lots of sex for six months, but then she dumps him and he doesn't get laid again for 5 years? Is he…

There's a lot of reasons. -A large portion of a man's worth is judged by his ability to attract women. Men who can easily find women to sleep with them are seen as successful and the envy of others; men who cannot find women to sleep with them are seen as losers and incels. -Men arguably have less support structures than women, both from a personal and societal standpoint. Men are taught to bury their feelings and just suck it up, while women are 'permitted' (for lack of a better term) to confid…

I said they were above average, because they definitely are, but my point is that most of them are not Supermodel or Victoria's Secret material. Obviously how you define "attractive" varies here, but if we're talking physically, then arguably this is true simply because men care much more about the physical appearance of their partners than women do. Women will fuck guys who are much older and uglier than them for no other reason than they're rich and/or famous. If it wasn’t pleasurable for you you’d like it? If it was voluntary sex that I chose to have, then yes, even if it wasn't particularly physically great, it is awesome to feel desired and wanted. You should go to prison then — plenty of dudes would be desirous of your body. I'm not gay, so I don't really care how many dudes want to have sex with me. Still, it's cool to feel desired.

If you have examples of what I'm actually asking about Note that this partially depends on your criteria for when a guy is "fat", but... Patrice O'Neal Ralphie May All of Harvey Weinstein's ex-wives Salman Rushdie Kevin James Kyle Gass Jack Black James Gandolfini Kelsey Grammer Obviously this one is heavily cultural, but Sumo Wrestlers in Japan often have very attractive wives. This also isn't even covering all of the guys who are fat but are technically Athletes (like NFL Offensive linemen).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 05:46 PM

Patrice O'Neal and Ralphie May both had fairly attractive wives. But I think a lot of it is not necessarily just fat guys, it's just guys who are much older, much less attractive, etc., who while they may not be "fat", are nowhere near as hot as their SOs, and definitely are not in good shape. I can find probably dozens of examples of this phenomena.

Many men will fuck fatties but not date them. Why is this? Because, for most guys, any sex is still better than your right hand. But overall, I always tell people that the most fun I had dating was in my late-20s and early 30s. I've read an interesting theory that a lot of this might be due to the Dunning-Kruger effect, which basically says that smart people tend to underestimate their abilities, while dumb people tend to overestimate their abilities. Because of this, dumb men tend to be much more confident in themselves (and thus much more attractive to women, especially in high school and college age), while smart men tend to be much less confident in themselves, and thus much less attractive to women.

It's an example of failed negging. Negging gets a really bad rep, but that's mostly because people latch onto really bad examples of it. The idea of negging is supposed to be playful teasing of someone, not being extremely insulting. The idea behind it is showing very attractive women that you are not intimidated by them and treat them just like anyone else, which is attractive for them because they're used to men fawning all over them.

The idea is supposed to be that you show attractive women (who are used to men fawning over them) that you have a sense of humor and are not intimidated by them.

How are going to buy a house without money? How are you going to be able to feed your kids without money? How are you going to handle family emergencies without money? I feel like you're being reductive here. The idea of "women want men who are rich" doesn't mean any man is saying "OMG it's so shallow that women want a man to have a roof over his head and be able to afford food!". They're saying it's ridiculous that (some) women are willing to sleep with and marry men they aren't even vaguely at…

That's true, but it's sort of like telling a person who is starving to death that your situation is totally the same, because you have tons of food available but it all tastes bad.

Imagine being born an ugly woman, you are fucked. Nobody here argues that being an ugly woman is great fun. The argument is that even though being ugly sucks regardless of whether you're a man or a woman, at least ugly women can still easily find people who will sleep with them. Ugly men cannot.

This sort of supports your post, but don't forget that men die younger, are much more likely to die on the job or commit suicide, and are more likely to be murdered. women are 56% of college-educated and tend to not like to "date down" women in general don't like to date working class men (retail, food service, etc.) This part might be true, but it's worth noting that this is offset heavily because men make up the vast majority of skilled-trades workers. Having sex with a woman who actually wants to have sex with you is almost always better than having sex with a woman who is only having sex with you because you're paying her money. Even male porn stars will say in interviews that sex in a porno is nowhere near as fun as having sex with a willing partner. I'm also not exactly sure it'd be cheaper. I have no idea how much prostitutes cost, but I assume a decent-looking prostitute is several hundred dollars a "session". If I'm married and my wife …

It's not a reflection of their ability to be a good relationship partner, or even a "good" person. No, but it is a reflection of whether or not I want to have sex with them. If a person has an awesome personality but I have no physical attraction to them, why wouldn't I just be friends with them? What is the point of having a romantic partner who I have no interest in being romantic with? I personally find someone more attractive if they have a good personality and we are compatible/share things…

I think you're overestimating the physical attractiveness of female porn stars, and not understanding a lot of what men find appealing about porn. Take Riley Reid for example (since she's a very popular porn star): she's an attractive woman, but I can guarantee she would never be accepted as a Victoria's Secret m…

Normal guys DO get laid! It sort of depends how you define "get laid". Technically speaking, a guy who had sex once when he was 21 and then never again for the rest of his life "got laid", but I don't think that's an outcome most guys would want.

You already did 'win': you're with that girl and the other guy(s) are not. The fact alone that you did it with zero effort makes the win even sweeter, because it shows just how much 'better' you are than those other guys. If you ran a race against someone, what would make you feel more bad-ass: if you beat them by one second giving it 100%, or if you beat them easily without a lot of effort?

Obviously context is everything here (does she have a small tattoo on her arm, or face tattoos?), but despite them gaining more mainstream acceptance, large amounts of tattoos are still largely seen as trashy and low-class. There's also evidence that people with tattoos are more likely to be less educated, have mental illnesses, and engage in risky behavior (though they're not as correlated as they used to be). https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/324287#Under-the-skin-of-tattoos

This is an extreme example, but I think there are a lot of men who have all the assets available to be successful with women, but have zero confidence in their appearance or what they bring to the table. For the most part, men are completely clueless as to when women are flirting with them, and they worry about misinterpreting a woman's signals because that's a quick way to get labeled as creepy. Likewise, I think a lot of women overestimate how much attention men, even good looking men, get fro…

69% of men would respect a woman less because she hooks up a lot, but only 37% of would respect a man less. While I don't think anyone should respect someone less over this, comparing the two is pretty much apples to oranges. If men could get laid (excluding escorts/prostitutes) as easily as women could, these numbers would likely be much more comparable.

-Confusing 'being nice' with 'being a doormat'. There's a significant difference between being an actual good person, and thinking that just doing whatever everyone around you wants and avoiding any and all conflict makes you a good person. -Inability to relax around women. The big turn-on of 'bad boys' for women is that they don't need her approval. -Being ashamed of their hobbies and interests. I know a lot of guys who are very nerdy, but basically try and downplay and avoid even mentioning th…

100 rejections vs 100 unsuitable dates both results in the same spot. I'd argue that 100 unsuitable dates leaves you with more confidence than 100 rejections. 100 dates implies that those people at least found you attractive enough that they wanted to go out with you. 100 rejections says you didn't even cross that threshold. Putting aside that this woman's problem seems to be that she has really bad taste in men, I'd say it's still really not comparable. A person who is starving is not the same …

OR is "Nice Guys Finish Last" all about sex, which I suspect is what it indirectly mean. Where the assholes are "winning" because they get the most sex partners and a normal guy having a loving girlfriend is "losing" because only one woman likes him. To a large degree, yes. I don't think it's necessarily being able to form a friendship with women that is the recommendation, it's being able to interact with women just like you interact with basically anyone else, and then that stops (or at least helps alleviate) making you look desperate. The fundamental tenant of left-wing beliefs is that people are either oppressors, or they are the oppressed. This is now based more heavily on identity than anything else. In their mind, women are oppressed, men are oppressors. So anything that reeks of women generally having privileges over men is either completely ignored, subject to whataboutism ("Oh boo hoo. What about the wage gap!?"), or is handwaved as "oh well that's the patriarchy's fault too". It's a way to dismiss these things because…

Candidly, it doesn't really matter. 3+ billion women are not going to suddenly stop being more attracted to tall men that short men, so whether this is an 'excuse' or a 'reason' is pretty much irrelevant. It is what it is. It isn't fair, but guess what? Life isn't fair, so you shouldn't expect dating to be. So really, you just focus on what you can control and what you can't control, and try and change what you can control.

From the sounds of it, these guys just want you to pity-fuck them. Just ignore those guys. As for the difficulties, just acknowledge these (almost) universal differences in dating: -The expectation is almost always on the man to make the first move. He is the one who is expected to walk across the bar and put himself out there and hope he doesn't have to deal with being rejected, which is even more fun when it's in front of your friends so he gets to have an audience when you tell him "no". "Nice guys Finish Last" implies that there are guys trying to get dates, but are getting rejected. "Where have all the good men gone?" implies that these women are the ones rejecting men because they think they aren't good enough for them. So they are similar in that they basically blame everything on the opposite sex, but for very opposite reasons.

Nope. It's not. No one wants "their mind changed" by a stranger. Except that's literally what you just said. It isn't that women want men and men get validation from that. Some women want some men, they don't necessarily want all men. It's that men get validation from convincing women to do something they didn't initially want to do. Pretty much, yep, because if you ask the question "would you fuck a member of the opposite sex you just met?" a very large percentage of men will say yes, and an incredibly tiny percent of women will say yes, and they've done numerous social experiments to prove it. So, in…

I said 'don't just want sex for', the physical act of sex feels good as well. Also, pressuring someone for something does not mean they 100% didn't want it and you forced them, it means you convinced them they did, so it's still gives a sense of validation. If I go to a car dealership thinking I'm going to buy a sedan and the Salesperson pressures me into buying an SUV, it doesn't mean I didn't want a car at all.

If they only wanted pure sex than they would just hire prostitutes. Men don't just want sex for the physical act and pleasure of sex, they want sex to feel desired and validated.

So if thats the case most men who are sexless should ask women to be their gf right? Then they would have sex with them right? If all you want is sex and you don't want to actually be in a relationship with this person, why would you ask them to be in a relationship?

For one, your post title seems to contradict your first paragraph. First you say "how can so many women be this delusional?", but then immediately after it "...I think its fair to say that most of the posters are there are reasonably above-average in intelligence and general savvy about the world." So are most of them reasonably intelligent and savvy, or delusional? Second, if, in a period of 3 days, you had sex with 2 different women and then made out with a 3rd, you are doing far better than '…

I don't think it'll change things that dramatically, though part of it depends on the BC itself. How expensive is it, how often do you need the injection, etc. I think it'll help relationships because men now have more BC options than just vasectomy, condom, pull-out method. I can't imagine any woman having a one-night stand is going to trust a guy who says he's on Vasagel and not make him use a condom.

If all that mattered was the orgasm, the guy would just jerk off and save himself a lot of time and energy. Go to a singles bar and ask the guys there a hypothetical: they can either go home with a girl have sex with her, but they won't cum during the sex, or they can go home and jerk off and cum. I can pretty much guarantee you that 95%+ of the guys would choose the first option.

ugly/Unnactractive Spelling aside, I'd argue that ugly and 'not attracted to them' are not the same thing. With that in mind, for me: just not attracted to them? All of the time. Straight up ugly is really rare if we're not including women who are super obese. The number of women I've met in decent shape who just had really ugly faces is incredibly small.

While it's nice to see attention being paid to unrealistic standards for men, it's not like 'guys with unrealistic bodies' is new in Hollywood. Think of Van Damme, Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Lundgren, and all those other action actors in the 80s. They were all on vast quantities of roids and ridiculously cut.

Basically saying the standards are set extremely low. This idea doesn't really make any sense to me. The "bar" is essentially set by women, not men. If 100% of women tomorrow said "I will never ever have sex with a guy who is overweight", the # of overweight men would probably drop 90% in a decade.

Is a woman not having sex with a random stranger a bad thing? No. I don't understand how anyone can expect a woman who is walking around, probably not thinking about sex... Because if you are a man, especially a young man, you are basically always thinking about sex all the time. So it's very difficult to comprehend the idea of someone who: A: Doesn't think about sex all of the time. B: Has nearly unlimited access to free and easy sex, and doesn't take advantage of it. It's not bad, it's just ve…
