I used to just say “ok everyone, let’s get a picture” and then after a few takes “ok, family only now” and get a few takes. No one ever seemed to be hurt by this. The boyfriend even took the picture for us. Edit: even at my wedding I had a “cousins” only picture so their spouses weren’t in it. One did get a divorce a few years later too.
