1	Gold Digging Denied I don't know where you're from, but you absolutely DON'T combine assets and make them jointly owned when marrying. Each asset remains in their individual name and you share the value they gain during the marriage. If the asset didn't exist before the marriage then you share the whole value. It would be different if she were asking for something more neutrally framed like alimony or child support, but she straight-up wanted half his stuff. It could be the article not stating it correctly, but to make matters worse she didn't even want half the value gained during the marriage. She wanted half of the entire value.
