Do schools really punish "male behavior" Yes. Simply adding 1 more period of recess at school improves the grades of boys significantly. Boys aren't meant to sit around in silence for a whole day. My little brother's school replaced a class and added an extra period of gym, which is better than doing nothing, but it's not the same as having it daily.
