low birthrates are an effect of a ton of factors. My country has a similar br to Japan, so I'm well versed in the subject. First of all, in industrial societies (vs agricultural) children are no gain (they used to be extra hands to work in the field), second: quality outweighs quantity (better to raise one doctor than 3 rubes). Also in my country it's men who in polls declare they want more children, they want them sooner, and more of them wants them at all. The cost of having a child is too big…

yeah, mgtows are known to be hot, that's why they are voluntarily removing themselves form the dating pool, too much attention

if you're hot, worldly and have no bald men in your family, sure you might

If it's only 5% and let's say half of them marry anyhow then you're left with a very small % of population and I don't know why society should even care (by comparison supposedly 2% of population is gay) You're speculating, it might well be true but there is no proof. I might as well put forward a thesis that women deemed 80% of men to be below-attractive but deep down realize it's wishful thinking. A more thorough, scientific study on an unskewed sample should replace the okcupid one. You chose…

are you in the top 5% of men? Then you're not marrying anyone younger than 2 years (statistically speaking). Male age influences incidence of autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, miscarriage, dwarfism, also to a lesser degree Down Syndrome. If you really care about this stuff then you yourself can't wait too long. I'm not telling you what you should find attractive, I like to look at 25yo men too, I'm saying you're falling victim to a bias and rationalization

in the table you posted the difference between women and men marrying at 40+ is ca. 1%. Does this really give you tingles? Talk about cherishing the small things in life, I have to applaud that, hang my head and admit, you win, your chances of getting married at 50 are 1% bigger than a woman's, How about tomorrow set a new goal for yourself, ask your boss for a 1% raise , you go man, the world in your oyster, I believe in you

it's dropping, for both parties so the proportion (hence chance) stays the same (~men start dying off sooner so the proportion actually changes a bit after 50 but slowly). Two in two out. What you don't understand is that the NUMBER of ugly/poor/and stupid men is always the same. Had every woman been forced to choose a mate at 20 someone would still get stuck with those poor/ugly and stupid ones and on top have no life or education. Again, average marriage age difference is 2 years, the chances …

the alternative is exactly what I did: year after high-school I worked abroad, then went to uni, lived in a dorm, got my masters (which isn't rare where I live like it is eg in the US), did Erasmus while doing my masters. After uni I internshipped abroad, travelled. Came back. Got a job where I met the love of my life and got married at 29. We'll pay off our apartment in 10 years (which is quick where I live), we go on holidays twice a year, we each have a car, we visit friends on the weekends, …

the average marriage age difference in every 1st world country is 2 years, I can drool over 25yo men as well, doesn't mean I'm gonna get them, balding men can drool over 25yo women, but they are not getting them. Women also don't get married at 40 they do, to 42 yo men because there is the same number of them. The marriage market is symmetrical, two in two out marriage age distribution You didn't answer my question. I think I did, I wrote it implies ...

on average there is a 2 year gap in every first world country, so what? I got married at 29 (hubb's the same age) Bump? you mean this bump from 2% to 3%? In what way do you imagine it could possibly make any woman care?

In the first world education doesn't interfere with the average years of getting married, in fact there is a considerable gap where you establish yourself in your job (And I'm already married and past 30 with a masters degree btw so keep your ad personam )

To be able to continue this point I'd have to ask you where you're from as in my country 40% of people under 30 have a masters degree so I'm puzzled why you give the expression that educated women are some kind of anomaly, maybe you understand something different by educated (phd?) If educated people weren't getting married to each other then half my country would be single I know this study, no one ever quotes the second part of it where it was in fact MEN who unproportionately contacted the to…

at least the word "education" features the ad, contrary to "be feminine". The ad implies you're not gonna get a guy after finishing uni and that while you're at uni you can't meet any guy because? Maybe China should join 1st world countries and embrace the fact that there is life after 30, people don't die of cholera at 40 anymore

The ad doesn't say be feminine, it says don't educate yourself 2. The pickiness is a relative issue, people don't need to get married, if a person doesn't want to get married at ANY price then they just won't. The advice is build on the wrong assumption that people want marriage unconditionally. Being married doesn't trump everything, there is a tipping point where one outweighs the other (eg being married to a rube is not better than being unmarried, but being married to the love of your life i…

don't get an education (by extension money), marry a shit guy and let him cheat. Solid advice, totally not something a self-serving shit cheating man would come up with /s

keep yourself stupid so you're broke, marry a shit guy and let him cheat, if he does it's your fault. Why aren't women jumping on it? It's a mystery

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
