I have to ask what kind of feminism they are pushing here. If its 90% about gender equality, I am ok with this. If its stuff about having sex and women being able to call it rape the next day because you didn't call, then I have an issue. I had to read the bible in school. I agree that there have been movies with strong leads for decades, but I can't think of an action movie with a strong male and female lead- where both kick ass equally, and are co-leads. Immortal Joe isn't only bad because he is terrible to women. He has essentially enslaved an entire community. Every aspect of the society he has created is terrible for everyone. In terms of movies where a woman is vilified and punished for treating men badly there was Catwoman. Plus lots more if I thought about…

They did get the author of the vajayja monologues as an advisor, but so what? As someone who would like to see actual equality between the sexes and genders, I was very happy to see a guy and girl both kicking butt equally in a movie. Near the end of the movie they run into a bunch of ass kicking old ladies. That was great. In the world they show in this movie everyone has to toughen up to survive.

I fully agree that IRL women hog a 2nd seat on public transit as much as men do by spreading their legs, but in terms of comment thread topics, if you read Mensrights more than SRS, it may explain why the comments are one sided.

I took some Cultural Studies courses at University in the 90s (basket weaving was full).
