If your recount is accurate and true: this is not a man. We'd be doing you a disservice to provide any advice that would lead to improvement of his emotional state and/or treatment of you. He sounds emotionally unstable and psychologically underdeveloped.

Just to throw in here, my fiancé has told me many times that it's the women who say they're not into hook ups, one night stands, casual sex and/or are wanting something serious are generally the ones he knew would be in his bed a couple of hours after meeting (I guess any guy who knows how to get a fantasy going can get this right). My approach is different and maybe controversial here but it's led to a bunch of proposals so I'm going to say I know what I'm doing. I never play games. I'll go wit…

Thank you. This gives me such hope and seriously warms my heart.

He smashes my daughter’s sweet stash all the time so I’d wanted to call him Sweets but in this process I idiotically asked him what a specific ex of his called him and he said… Sweets. Now I can never use that word. Even though my use would be funny and not generic.

This is the one I want to use but I struggle soooo much. I don’t know why it feels so foreign to me.

What would you LOVE to be called though?

Yes… even I can come up with some. But I don’t know what sounds stupid and for some reason I completely freeze up. I can type them now… voice note… at a push video call… but in person I panic!

I haven’t seen it as abusive at all. He showers me with pet names and I adore it and feel like the most amazing woman in the world when he’s all over me with the names. I just feel so weird calling him by another name as it’s so unnatural for me. I can do it with animals and my daughter without a problem but anyone else gives me panic. So with him, it’s not abusive at all but I do panic a bit. But it’s like asking to be given love. That should be a given in a relationship. I just need a word tha…

Yes I have! He says he wants a name that comes from me so it’s authentic. He refuses to answer the question. He has called me a range of names and I told him which I prefer - I really love all of them but there was one in specific that I really adored being called. Urgh this is sooo hard for me.

I think that’s exactly what this comment is saying. Things aren’t FIXED with sex alone. But no sex or denial of it will be the beginning of the end. Of course an argument about XYZ isn’t solved by sex. But it’s also not solved with no sex, if that makes sense.

I don’t think sex ever takes a backseat for men. They work very differently to us. If sex LOOKS like it’s taking a backseat for a man then it’s time to urgently worry about the relationship.

Look at the words… “my toddler”? It’s your -plural- toddler… “our toddler”. This makes me wonder whether you’ve prioritized toddler over your husband. If so this will only fall apart with a second child. Life piles up for everyone. We make time for what’s important. If you’re not making time, you’re not seeing it as important. And if you don’t see him as important why must he see you as important? Think on this Truly - we ALL make time for our true priorities. Have an honest review and conversat…

Your physical sex drive is likely to go up into your thirties, while his will stabilize and/or slightly decline. A big thing here though might be the age gap. Emotionally and spiritually sex changes so much with age. This is not something you can speed up or slow down. Therefore, the output of sex shifts hugely. It really becomes something else with time, and keeps evolving forever. Sex has always been massively important to me, daily is the dose, but I’ve had to shift. A long term relationship …

The 5’11 is your problem unfortunately. Relationship experts have found that taller height is the single most limiting factor for women in finding a partner. If you want more info on this I can try to find the interview link for you but it’s from Diary of a CEO channel on YouTube — not sure if you’re familiar with it (if not, highly recommend). But yes, I don’t often comment here but wanted to share this info so that you can focus on the core issue rather than thinking something is wrong with so…

To me this seems pretty straightforward. He spent 3 years chasing you. He wanted to chase. Now he has nothing to chase. There’s your answer. There is a mutual issue with the cat and mouse as it doesn’t allow true peace in the moment and equality. By equality I mean matching and suiting; you’re good for him and he’s good for you. The “chase” word is always the red flag for me because it means the other person is running.

If you want your marriage to fail, don't drop it. That's my advice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
