No worries man, i take no offense from guys building muscle mostly on stimulants. I fast from 00:00 to 16:00 each day. If i get off from work at 18:30 i go straight working out and i'm already fueled by my meal at 16:00. If i work till 20:00 i have another smaller meal 1 hour before working out. I have almost all my day to myself/work because i do not waste time to eat until 16:00.

Thanks for the honest feedback. Since you have 10 years of experience you know what kind of dedication and discipline is required to have such transformation. This is not enough though. You should know what to do first then put on the effort to do it. Moving around and playing football itself isn't going to do much. You might be right i'm shitting on people here. This is my way of challenging them to justify their words on said subject. In real life people are constantly asking me what to eat, h…

I think that this is a lot of unnecessary stress for the body and the CNS. HIIT cardio is demanding and i do not recommend you to do it between workouts, when your body should recover. Why not 4 days workout + 1 HIIT cardio (W W R W W R HIIT).

Hi there. Yes, i cook all of my food. I cook almost every day. Some days i just "sous-vide" some vegetables for my salad, some days i cook simultaneously rice, vegetables, meat, boil eggs, prepare "before bed" cake etc. I try to prepare most of my food for the next 3-4 days because i work a lot and barely have the spare time to cook every day for 2 hours. I'm doing IF as my main eating pattern. They say that you get used to fasting and this is true but not all the time. This is the only downside…

Fasting is a matter of choice (so far all of my close friends and relatives think that i'm crazy to "starve" for such a long time). I think it's useful for hunger management (bigger portions) and besides that have a lot of other health and hormone benefits. I've formed my opinion on fasting based on my experience but yours might differ. Until you try it there is no way you can tell if it's useful strategy for you. Other than that it is just a pattern of eating.

I think that you're severely undereating for your weight and your metabolism has slowed down, that's why you're losing 1 lb / week. I suggest that you slowly up your calories by 100 every 3-4 days till you hit your maintenance and eat at maintenance for another week. I suppose that you can correctly identify your maintenance calories. Let's say they are 2800 for your weight. You need roughly -3500 kcal a week to lose a pound mostly of fat. That makes -500 kcal deficit daily. Eat slightly under y…

Currently doing only bodyweight exercises. Diet is modified leangains approach with 3170 calories on workout days (161,2 protein; 439,2 carbs; 71,3 fats) and 2457 calories on rest days (173,5 protein; 155,6 carbs; 122,8 fats). Otherwise i have chicken legs (that's why) and i'm pretty novice. I even paid for that nutrition plan.

You're doing most of the things wrong. For a 206 lbs dude like you are, working out and playing hockey... 1800 and 1500 cals are WAY too low. For me to help you i need to know how long have you been cutting and does your caloric intake looked like that since the beginning (1800;1500). 1 lbs per week weight loss for an overweight individual is pretty much what you are describing as a "plateau".

I assume that you already know that this is a must. Besides that you can cycle your calorie and macro intake.

Basically you need more carbs on workout days to fuel your workouts and refill your glycogen storages after a workout. And build muscle of course. So in a workout day pre-workout you need carbs to fuel your body for the workout and after the workout you need to refill your body. Your body is processing carbs with priority over fats. So you minimize your fat intake for that day because fats are processed much slower than carbs and are stored directly as... fats. On a rest day your body do not nee…

Right now i'm slowly bulking on custom made nutrition plan by me which is basically following the leangains approach with some modifications. Also i'm cycling carbs and fats as well as calories on workout/rest days.

The fastest and the healthiest way to lose weight is to calorie and carb cycle and do exercises that train your muscle. Most of the people believe that they will lose weight doing cardio and undereating. Cardio is good but for overall endurance and cardiovascular health. More calories are burned through weightlifting or atleast bodyweight exercises. Also calorie and carb cycling are very useful to keep your health in check, to ensure the proper hormones regulation and to keep your mental health …

Fiber - just an empty word in your post. Eat fiber and you're ok. Eat 25-35 g. of fiber and you'll shit like horse and you'll have no problem with your digestive system. Ok, that's great. But do you know how can you incorporate fiber intake in your daily meals? Do you even know why you should time your fiber intake? Do you know how fiber can benefit/hinder the absorption of the meals? Is it the same that you ingest most of your fiber with your first meal or your last meal? Do you even realize th…

what the fuck man, for 30 days your will be adapting to the use of ketones as energy source. how the fuck are you supposed to benefit from keto for just 30 days? stop posting shit like that in here. the biggest mantra in here is to lift and every newcomer is advised to lift and you're fucking it all up? do you even think that a novice lifter is aware how to properly count calories and macros? 250 kcal protein bar is not only 250 calories from protein because if it contains 25 gr. of protein that…

20% calories from protein? Averaging 2000 kcal a day diet gives you only 400 kcal fom protein. Assuming everything is "textbook" that will leave you with 100 gr. of protein alone which is below the minimum requirements for all kinds of bodyweights during a cut. .... you stupid?

I am a gym junkie man, and this could be "the death of me" just like they sing in songs... I really SHOULD workout 4 times a week but sometimes i can't stand it and i workout 5/6 times. It is not very useful to do so because it interferes with nutrition partition as well and some days i'm not fully recovered. Today i'm going to go more deep into bulking and i'm going to do a leangains style bulking topic.

Right now for my bulk i am getting around 3200 kcal on training days and around 2400 on rest days. My split is something like +20%/-10% on a surplus/deficit scale. I keep my calories slight under maintenance on rest days just to keep my fat burning pathways active during the bulk. Do not believe anyone that tells you if you eat over/under maintenance you can simultaneously gain muscle and lose fat. If you're super clean bulking you can lose fat but that is because your LBM is incresing so lookin…

I've seen a lot of guys with similar hips to shoulder ratio and i doubt that they are hypogonadal. In fact it's more a matter of muscle mass than bone structure. Yeah, you might not be able to get an impressive V-typer look but for sure your shoulders should get the widest part of your body. Do not undersetimate test and tren influence on your body. I've seen a lot of guys becoming "beasts" after taking both of them. Personally i've never tested my test level but i'm pretty sure i don't have pro…

It is safe to download it. However i can't force you do that so my macros are: Workout days: Protein - 156 gr. Carbs - 477 gr. Fats - 71 gr. Rest days: Protein - 156 gr. Carbs - 155 gr. Fats - 133 gr. This is for bulking right now. My i don't recall exactly my cutting macros but my last cut was on ~2400 kcal on workout days and ~1900 or rest days. I am 5'8" and around 157-158 pounds right now.

I guess that this is a subject for another more advanced topic which i could write if you are interested. I just had my dinner in fact - 200 gr. of pasta + 50 gr. cheese + 100 gr. chicken, and right after that i had my dessert - 100 gr. of cereals + 250 gr. of yogurt. In the meantime i'm baking a cake which is a mix of whole wheat flour, milk and eggs. And i will consume a part of it after an hour and a half with cottage cheese, honey and peanut butter. The optimal diet is consisted of the prope…

You need that food after a workout, man. After fasting for 12 hours your body is starting to deplete your liver glycogen and for 2-3 hours you get your energy mainly from your fat storages. This is one of the benefits from fasting for 16 hours. Other than that you regulate your insulin spikes. That means that you keep your insulin levels low through the day and you only spike your insulin when it's useful - after a workout to get those carbs in your bloodstream and feed those muscles. Why else w…

Please do not discuss steroids on here. Lets keep the topic as "natty" as possible. I would disagree with you on high fat low carb every day if you're not doing keto style diet which is whole different thing with different story behind it. No single macro is dangerous (for getting fat etc.) the key is moderation and to know when and how to use that said macro for your benefit. I'm eating over 2000 kcals of carbs in a 3 hour window before i go to sleep. That means i eat and lie on the bed and the…

I'm fasting from 00:00 to 16:00 , i only drink water and a cup of black coffee in the meantime. I'm eating only from 16:00 to 00:00 so that means i'm eating in an 8 hour window all that i should eat for the day. Some days i prolong my fast by two more hours and i have only 6 hours left to eat.

You're spot on that you shouldn't drink. However everything works with moderation. It's ok to have a drink (100 ml of hard liquor or 500 ml of wine) once a week with your mates. But 800 kcal from alcohol are in no use for you. If you ever heard they call them "empty" calories because they are empty - they serve you no purpose. 800 kcal are almost equal to 3 large drinks (300 ml) and in that case i think that you should solve your drinking problems and not worry about the calories. Alcohol is pro…

On this day you’ll be able to eat whatever you want. Pizza, hamburgers, cakes, I don’t care. Just eat as much as you want and whatever you want. Do you even have any idea what are you talking about? If someone is averaging at -3000 kcal a week he could easily fuck up his regimen by your statement. Please do not mislead people like that because you have a long way of reading and experimenting about training and nutrition, my friend. And for fuck sake do no have any cheat days! Have cheat meals. Yeah i've just red in the AMA topic something that keeps boggling me. They advised the people to always have something in hand to write down possible business ideas. It just keeps boggling my mind that i recall really how many ideas i had in the past that were actually pretty good and i've told myself "some day i have to do it" and i didn't wrote them down and they are all vanished. I have just a memory of having brilliant ideas in the past...

Very helpful AMA topic. Thank you for that. I shouldn't be mentioning that i have little money in my savings account so far, i guess it is normal since i've starting to earn "big cash" only 2 months ago. I guess that this is not an excuse and i can do something even with low investment, right?

Is it ok to dedicate only few hours of my week mostly to socialize like in one of my off days? I plan to start some social activities as well during my week after work time - start taking some yoga classes maybe once a week or dancing or something like that. I guess that should do the trick.

Wow! Thanks for that beautiful and long post! Very much for me to learn from it. As for the web development - i started to take beginner courses, starting with the very basic - HTML, CSS, JavaScript and when i'm done with them i'll move upwards. Actually i've made some sort of "ladder" to climb regarding my learning (which follows which) based on hour long reading through the internet. I mean what should one learn and in what order.
