Is what it is man. I'm going through the same shit right now. Wish we could be a united, happy family but two people who just don't function together will be worse for your kid than apart. Honestly, that's one thing that gives me hope is that. My family was united but cold as ice overly involved in shoving religion down our throats. I turned out just as fucked up as a lot of single parented kids.

I mean ideally it's easiest to raise non-fucked up kids in a two parent household but not everyone gets that luxury and not having that doesn't automatically mean fucked up kids. The idea is yo have both parents in the mix. But that's not always possible. Your son can grow up just fine, and he might have a healthier dose of reality than kids who grow up with both parents that hate each other or don't get along.

It's hard to know if our society is actually ahead of our biology or not. Think of this, most of our societal norms are based on control methods or vested-interests, not necessarily based on observations or studies. Society is the way it is due to our biology. E.i. self-preservation, protect the eggs at all costs. I'm probably not a 100% right here but on track.

Look man, your dad could be so deeply invested in the Blue Pill mentality that it's too far gone to do anything. It's like an 80-year-old losing their faith and becoming atheist. It's not impossible, just much harder for minds that have cemented their beliefs over a span of 60+ years. My dad? Not sure...
