Will Smith needs some sort of awakening to understand the situation he's in instead of being infatuated with a wife that cheated on him with a younger guy. He's lost that masculine edge and he's simply failing himself mostly by not handling such situations properly. And so he goes ahead to slap someone making a joke he was supposed to find funny in the first place.
