When they say brigading, what they mean is some people from this sub had the audacity to go there and question or disagree with them.

They're running cover so that, when called out for the abhorent behavior, they can point at their on paper rules and say "see? We're not sexist"

My ex wife always did this. On the rare occasion she would ever admit to being at fault... "Fine, I admit I was in the wrong. Boo hoo I'm such a horrible person (translation: I'm going to throw a pity party until you comfort me, forgetting about your original grievance and making it all about me)

Feminists don't treat it like philosophy, they treat it like hard science. They have an attitude of "everything we say is imperially correct and merely questioning it is anti truth."

Yeah. I always kind of assumed I was on board with feminism until around the time of Gamergate, Anita Sarkeesian and the Atheism+ nonsense, at which point I realized how they acted versus what they claimed to represent.

Are you sure? I've definitely seen misandry and feminism associated with being lesbian as a kind of insult.

Don't get me started on that he for she crap. How often do we hear from feminists that men's issues are the job of women or feminists to solve, and that men should advocate for solving their own problems? Then they turn around and tell men that it's our responsibility to be allies and to do this that and the other thing to help women.

They will still operate as though "patriarchy" is a problem. Things are going to get a lot worse for men over the coming generations before they get better. Feminists are not going to suddenly wake up one day, finding themselves in the world of equal representation they strove for, and then say "Yup. That's good enough. Time to stop fighting for more power for women". Women are human, just like men. They are just as susceptible to logical fallacies, selfishness, greed, bigotry, ambition etc. The…

That's a problem with social "science" in general. It's all a lot of speculation, assertions and unfalsifiable hypotheses. It's philosophy and ideology masquerading as proven science. They make guesses and assumptions about how society works, then they use those guesses and assumptions in a circular, self referential manner. They use one assertion as evidence for another assertion. Just look at gender theory science journals. They often cite other unproven hypotheses as proof of their own unprov…

Perhaps the social commentary of the film could have worked if they hadn't painted such a caricature of the "real" world. Feminists love to highlight minority views and rare scenarios and pretend they represent the overall culture though.

Indeed. I would wager rape happened much more frequently in the ancient and pre industrial world.

Who needs evidence when you can assert something?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/01/24 01:29 AM

Some women do like that though. My ex got off on the idea of being stuck in a hole and getting pounded. That's not rape culture. The fact is that many women like being sexually dominated.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates03/01/24 01:28 AM

What a load of crap. Men are also attracted to those kinds of things. Women making cutesy/sexy gestures etc. You're making negative assumptions about men being shallow, based on nothing really.

The problem is their wrongness is having a large influence on culture.

Isn't it funny? Feminist men would take issue with people who say they are only feminists to get pussy. Yet feminists say that about women all the time.

I have had a hard time listening to so many progressive pundits, who really should know better, talking about "women and children". Why is it so difficult to say "non combatants and children"? It really shows that the whole of society, regardless of political affiliation, values the lives of men very little. We are barely an afterthought.

Feminist rhetoric has created a mindset where feminists will not be happy until women are advantaged in every aspect of society.

Patriarchy has not existed in the United States since 1919. Women are allowed to hold positions of power, to vote, to own land etc. Left ideologues have a habit of twisting the definitions of words to suit their own political goals. What was once a term with a very specific meaning is now extremely broad so as to be vague and unfalsifiable.

As long as women continue to be passive instead of pursuing, they will continue to have this problem of always being hit on. So many feminist women want to pick and choose which aspects of gender roles they want to hold to (while dictating to men which ones they're allowed)

Instead of just coming here to be a douche, why not try having a conversation? Maybe you will learn something. Or you just get off on feeling superior? Or stewing in your indignation?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/11/23 06:57 AM

It's almost like these are complex issues or something? You interested in having a conversation or to be snarky and make sure everyone knows how much you disagree?

What was the accusation, if you don't mind sharing?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/11/23 06:45 AM

Do you understand the problem with broadly accusing people of a particular belief system of being guilty because some of them are extremists? Do you talk about Muslims this way?

And women never have to improve. It's always "his loss" if a man rejects a woman. The expectation is that men have to prove themselves worthy while women just have to exist because they're already good enough.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/11/23 06:40 AM

Or the way gendered slurs are bad, unless of course it's a slur against men. e.g. cunt vs dick
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/11/23 03:09 AM

It also presumes that all power structures are necessarily bad and must be challenged. That's funny, because what happens when THEY become the new power structure?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/11/23 03:32 AM

Everything you said falls under "not meeting standards", except for the one about rejection.

And when the woman you lost it to eventually dumps you, she will throw it in your face that you weren't a good lay. As if anyone is a sex pro on their first few attempts?

Lekker wijf' Is hot babe the right translation? If so, it basically is another way of saying beautiful woman. Your culture considers that sexist? Jeesh.

feminism is to equality what alchemy was to chemistry
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates31/10/23 06:46 PM

That kind of irony is usually meant to cover up real feelings. Like the friend who always insults you but laughs it off and says they were only joking. Humor is a mask to hide behind. Funny how feminists don't feel the same way when MRA make "ironic" jokes like "I wouldn't even rape you". Their logic is a one way street.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 06:40 PM
1

They're the ones who like to say that losing power and privilege feels like losing rights. They should apply that own logic inward.

I left religion when I was young for these same reasons. After I got out of religion, I looked at feminism (and many other ideological communities) and saw much the same behaviors I was trying to escape from when I left religion. So why would I want to trade one cultish mindset for another?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 06:16 PM
1

Indeed. I'm troubled by the recent trend of the concept of "too far gone". It may be true for many, but you can never know which people are actually too far gone and which can be changed. Never assume they are TFG, always assume you can change somebodies mind. It doesn't happen in one conversation, it happens when the weight of evidence breaks through a persons cognitive dissonance gradually over time.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 06:09 PM
1

lol then why is it called feminism still?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 06:04 PM
1

They insist that feminism is actually egalitarianism then insist on continuing to call it femnism.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 06:04 PM
3

They have no problem judging male advocates by a minority of loud voices though. Funny how that doesn't go both ways.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/10/23 02:04 AM
2

I think it's funny how so much of feminists behaviors are actually rooted in traditional gender roles while claiming to be about liberated equality. Like the Sheforhe and that kind of stuff.

He is saying you disagree with his dogma in even the slightest way makes you a far right extremist. You know, typical bad faith dimwitted BS
/r/MensRights20/10/23 01:48 AM

You just lost the argument entirely and invalidated everything you've said. Bragging about your IQ. Pathetic. "Me big IQ, therefore me right". Yeah, totally something an intellectual would say lol.
/r/MensRights20/10/23 01:45 AM
1

Be secure all you want. The fact the your belief may not be tied to an organization or specific ideology doesn't make it less a religion.
/r/MensRights20/10/23 01:44 AM

continue to cop an attitude then play dumb when called out on insulting people lol
/r/MensRights20/10/23 01:40 AM
1

dishonest much? or just lacking self awareness?
/r/MensRights20/10/23 01:39 AM
2

And ironically they call literally every men's group a hate group. They think questioning their dogma = hate. They're not really interested in answering questions, they're interested in complaining about and blaming LITRALLY everything on men. They will twist themselves into knots to never admit they were wrong about anything and to never admit an MRA was right about anything, even if they said the sky is blue.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/10/23 12:48 AM

You make a good counterpoint about that comment, but they were not quote mining dude. Quote mining is a deliberate dishonest tactic.

Downvoted for requesting evidence? Ridiculous.
/r/MensRights14/01/23 08:17 PM

It's used as an ad hominem. People call you incel because they are attacking the person making the argument instead of the argument itself. They're trying to shut down the conversation.
/r/MensRights11/01/23 05:37 AM
1

You clearly missed the point. Mistreating men and favoring women are both somehow framed as sexism against women.
/r/MensRights21/12/22 07:14 AM

Fast forward a few years and the SCOTUS is talking about looking at reviewing gay marriage...
/r/MensRights21/12/22 06:15 AM

So you seem to be assuming that all accused of rape are guilty.
/r/MensRights15/12/22 06:15 AM

What about women who hold negative and sexist attitudes toward women or believe in submissive obedient roles for women? Is internalized sexism their own fault? What about self hating black people? Is their internalized racism their own fault, or a product of the society that raised them?
/r/MensRights15/12/22 06:13 AM

You left out the part about women getting lighter sentences for the same crimes.
/r/MensRights29/10/22 05:32 AM

Did you even read the comment you replied to? It was pretty explicit in differentiating healthy use of toys vs unhealthy use.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
