I dont think you guys fully understand how egregious this is. I got this from quickly reading some recommendations. Measures Addressing Perpetrators of IPV 32. Establish a province-wide 24/7 hotline for men who need support to prevent them from engaging in IPV. And Ensure that IPV-related public education campaigns address IPV perpetration and should include men’s voices, represent men’s experiences, and prompt men to seek help to address their own abusive behaviours. So we are actively painting…

Id love to see a crosspost of feminists dissecting each point and just lazily linking it back to the patriarchy or "as a response to misogyny" Great work

What Ive noticed in any of these conversations is that "patriarchy" is thrown around as a scapegoat and there is always an explanation for womens behaviour. If a man does anything including breathe - misogyny.

It wasnt any specific female coded sub but basically someone posted in the AmITheAngel sub about misandry so I chimed in with how men are systematically oppressed and got shut down. That to me, makes it even worse because I just said something in the wild and everybody disagreed with me

I dont think Im allowed to link to another reddits comments. But I was gaslit into believing that the trends I observed are in my head- I was pointing out to another redditor that as someone who works in the HRIS industry, Ive noticed patterns in how companies hire and layoff individuals and try to protect women as much as possible "Youre imagining things and men arent oppressed". And I got ratio'd. Like obviously its just internet points but its hard to feel heard when you get shut down like th…

To be honest, I think Im tired. Ive tried to have conversations with people on this platform about how men are struggling in various aspects and been shut down with "None of this is systemic oppression" And been downvoted. Its quite demoralizing when the popular opinion is that youre a walking form of oppression and youre privileged in every way.

What do you expect? You have other men actively enabling "equity" initiatives by saying that these groups were marginalized and need an advantage.

Heres the issue with this argument though- alot of my experiences have shown that women are generally attracted to emotionally unavailable men and that lines up with what the red pill says. In order to attract women and be somewhat emotionally unavailable, do you not have to adopt an avoidant attachment style? Im sure the defense here would be "Oh but only insecure women are attracted to such men" How can that possibly be the case when the consequence of being available is being put in the frien…

You dont have to insult me. I'm seriously just trying to understand the concepts. Are civil discussions possible on this reddit?

Ok maintain that point for a second. In that situation, is the mother more or less likely to get an abortion if she were to get more money out of child support assuming the income disparity was greater between her and the father? Assume she knew that this particular father could get her over $1000 in child support based on the calculations made in court, do you not believe she is more likely to keep the child? Lets stretch this even further and say that she knew she could get well over the 1000s…

Not that Im not open to another point of view, however, I dont think your argument is strong. Not wanting your children to starve is one thing but wanting to cash in on a large child support on purpose check is another. Correct?

So we actually agree though- the "affordability" part quickly disappears if the man is high value enough right? Doesnt this then validate the claim that "abortion is the ultimate expression of hypergamy"?

Ill take the L for missing that. Genuine question though: if popular culture has indicated that many women are willing to trap men with babies in order to secure a large child support check. Why isnt the opposite true? That women would be quick to abord a child they couldnt benefit from?

You know, thats a fair response. I think what Im really unclear on is whether the women that TRP are referring to are the majority or its a small subsection of women.

Okay and your solution to pregnancy is killing a child? Note that none of your examples involve a solution that involves harming the life of an innocent. Wouldnt another viable solution to pregnancy be caring for the child or in cases where that is not possible, to give it up for adoption? Literally anything that doesnt involve deleting a life? Obviously Ill make a finance based argument here when it comes to parental rights. The point Im trying to make is that women have 100% of the authority w…

Picked up from wikipedia: "Ad hominem (Latin for 'to the person'), short for argumentum ad hominem (Latin for 'argument to the person'), refers to several types of arguments, some but not all of which are fallacious. Typically this term refers to a rhetorical strategy where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself. The most common form of ad hominem is "A makes a claim x, B asser…

First of all, Im unsure why youre unable to keep this discussion civil. Ive been nothing but respectful to you and yet youve been resorting to ad-hominem. I do not insult single moms which is also a very weird conclusion to draw here. Atleast single moms have elected to take some degree of responsibility and I respect them. Now this point youve made is actually gold- "Punishing a woman for sex". Have you ever taken note that men have zero authority in family courts? Meaning that if a woman (prev…

Dude....its "life begins at CONCEPTION" not contraception ☠️ guess Im not the dumbass here. Not even going to bother reading the rest at this point

I really hope you stretched before making that reach. Plan B is a form of contraception, abortion is not. I can be pro contraception but not pro abortion

Yes I consider them repercussions. I mean even in sex ed, they do teach you that having sex could lead to unplanned pregnancies. That said- your argument is that people should have all the carefree sex they want to AND be able to murder unborn children. No, there are should be some limitations to how we participate in sex which is what Im saying. "Some married couples choose abortion". Great but thats the exception not the rule and abortion was supposed to be "safe, legal and rare" are they rare…

I suppose Im a little split on that one as Im phasing out of the red pill a little. In this scenario, it appears that on the surface neither party is given a choice- in a way its fair in the sense that both parties have to bear the responsibility. I do think that Rollo does have a point when he says "abortion is the ultimate expression of hypergamy" given that 98% of abortions were elective. Women will carry a child if its convenient or lucrative enough for them e.g in cases of trapping celebrit…

Okay. Lets go full circle to my original point- this is a lack of accountability issue. If you miss your pill then whose fault is that? Also if the condom breaks, what about plan B? Again, my entire point here is that women dont want to accept that getting pregnant was their fault to begin with. Now upon conception, you want to delete an entire child? No. Either marry before you carry, be better at selecting partners, be better at contraception OR abstain. You want to have your cake and eat it t…

I think that this is an accountability issue. In this day and age, aside from assault, if a woman gets pregnant, thats entirely her fault. She can get an IUD, birth control, make the man wear a condom and withdraw her consent if he doesnt comply. When I look at the totality of the situation, there are multiple devices in place that encourage sexual degeneracy among women with no repercussion. I dont think this is overall a good thing for society. Women need to be selective about the men they sle…

Okay now Im being very serious. How does it not? I genuinely have a problem with this. It gets to a certain point where I feel some repulsion towards promiscuous women because I tend to associate sex with decision making, intimacy, hygiene etc. Its just that I cannot reconcile that an act as intimate as sexual intercourse would be performed so casually. Am I saying I only date virgins? No. But past a certain number, I really start to question whats going on there. So how does it not affect you a…

Not gonna lie, if there is some truth, its that all women are attracted to white men. Im from Mauritius and I lived in Kenya for some time as well. What I notice is that women of colour have unanimously decided that white men are superior and is often a bragging right if youre able to get married to one. Reading my own comment though, Im not sure if its attraction or another form of expressing the internalized belief that white people are superior
