The US would be an absolute nightmare to invade even without a draft: we're bordered by two oceans and two countries that like us a fair bit, guns - even military-grade ones - are widely distributed, there's a huge section of the populace that would be more than happy to use them given a chance, and I'd wager that there would be volunteers out the ass in addition to those if we were ever actually attacked.

In this case, affect is correct. A disease affecting a patient means they have the disease, a disease effecting a patient means that the disease is changing the patients behavior (ie symptoms or psychological effects). You can see affect and effect on dictionary.com. Since HPV often doesn't have an actual symptom (effect) at first, it's not effecting them, it's affecting them.

The government being mentioned in what I linked was completely non sequitur to my argument, so don't start misinterpreting things when you're complaining about me doing so. What I'm saying is that Facebook speech is not public nor protected speech. You can be on private property but still be in a public space.
