There are literally a million topics you could talk about or ways to start a conversation. The best are those who are situational. You could look into getting some improv classes if you want to train in those kind of situations. For example: if there's a long wait at the bar, ask the girl if she can get a drink for you because everyone knows girls get the bartenders attention.
