Just to be clear, in a marriage, title doesn't mean jack shit. If the property is acquired during marriage, it is marital property unless the property was acquired by means of non-marital property (inheritance, selling non-marital property to purchase this new property). In other words, yeah this is a huge red flag, but as long as they do it while married, the guy is safely able to take his equitable portion of the marital estate, including the house.

If he doesn't know then the 30 days is irrelevant because holding someone accountable for something they had no knowledge occurred would be insane. The 30 days (or 60 I can't remember) is only relevant when he consented to being put on the certificate but later found out that he consented because of fraudulent actions by some party.

Sure man. Clearly I advocate for the slavery of men. I hope that men everywhere including myself are enslaved. Come on, an explanation for WHY something is happening doesn't mean that I condone it. I can explain WHY the middle east is fucked and WHY they are doing it to themselves, but I don't agree with it. It is all about knowing why something is occurring and how to protect yourself and prevent it from happening any further.

Not an explanation for why it is good, just why it is happening. I want it to change. I am currently studying for the BAR to become a lawyer and I am going to be the change I wish to see. I am just afraid that more people will be caught in the web that the government has spun and I want to make sure that people are aware to be able to protect themselves. Knowledge is indeed power.

Civil action is a great way to be heard, however, the wheels of justice turn slow, and the wheels of statutory change turn even slower. The same argument has been used for weed and its usage. People are sitting in jails for a victimless crime. Somehow the jailers sleep tight.

I just wanted to make it clear, I was not commenting on the exact situation that the article was presenting. I prefaced it so that people would understand I was only explaining the law behind what possibly was happening. I am not defending the law, I am simply explaining it and the rational behind it. If he never met the kid, never fathered the kid in any way (implied by not meeting the child), and never consented to his name on the birth certificate, he should be alright as long as he can prove he never consented.

Sure, but thats a slippery slope of literally everything being tied to benefit. Metal refineries so there are more hand cuffs, road workers because the cops have to drive faster to catch all the bad guys, and donut shops because more cops will get hungry with the increasing load of "bad" guys. /s

The state REALLY needs to look into exactly what you said. Paternity tests upon birth should be mandatory. That way no one looks like the bad guy for asking for it. I get your analogy, but look at it not from a criminal perspective, but one of public policy. In a perfect world yes that would be amazing. If the state could pay for the upbringing of all children, regardless of parental support, that would be a perfect solution. However, that isn't feasible with the state of the current economy. There is too much waste and governmental red tape to do such a thing. I am not saying what is happening is right. Im in law school right now, the laws we use everyone day are fairly archaic because most of the case law comes from cases older then most everyone in my class. Old laws don't always reflect the new way of thinking.

Its a step in the right direction. However, maybe i didn't see it, but she never came out and said she lied. She basically said that she may have improperly implied that the Fathers4Justice Group made the death threats and that she is sorry for that people implied that she accidentally implied that they made the death threats. Thats sort of the point. This isn't really saying anything. But without making any sense it does two major thing. First makes the connection that Men = Rape and secondly does not have a equal statement for a possible women being a rapist. This person does both without making a drop of sense. Also, this is a school organization posting this, with permission from the school, that is another reason that is an issue.

More to do with the lack there of.
