When these people start something they can't handle, they always play a victim. Like clockwork.

Progress that we need. If it's your body and your choice, then live with the choices you make. Lie about BC or forget to take it, refuse abortion - your own damn fault.

Exactly. As this becomes more common we'll see a drastic reduction in both police brutality and allegations of it.

Refreshing. Sad to see it here in this sub though, one of the few places these inconvenient truths are allowed to see the light of day on Reddit.

And calling everyone you don't agree with a "rabid dickless misogynist" is a valid criticism rooted in logic and reason? Feig is an immature twat who believes petty name calling can actually legitimize his perceived moral high ground.

Justice Victim blaming is bad. Thus it is very important to determine who the victim is. It's not always the accuser - who sometimes victimizes someone else with lies, slander and libel. None of this is new, but it is to the younger more naive crowd. False allegations are not something they had previously considered as a thing - these people remind me of the society from the movie "Invention of Lying" - the level of gullibility is almost comedic.

How did they find out she lied? I can see being lenient if she just decided to come clean. On the other hand if they proved she was lying despite her claims, I would hope she gets the full amount.

An individual is the smallest minority. The truth is nobody cares about you except your friends and family, if you're lucky, regardless of what color your skin is, or which genitals you have. It's all a lie to divide the population.

We see somewhat similar regional differences in communication style even across the US. People in CA and midwest are sometimes shocked by what counts as normal speech in NYC. This fake niceness does get a bit boring. There's a time and place for it, sure, but I think in many cases it's unproductive.

Evidently they take real civil court cases by offering to pay the damages if they agree and withdraw their case from real court. The money awarded is paid by the show, so the plaintiff gets paid, and the defendant doesn't have to pay. They both stand to gain something and technically the defendant "gets away" with it since they don't pay a penalty even if found guilty. If you've ever wondered how a TV show could enforce payment of the whole (or any) amount, this is how. They don't and just pay i…

This is exactly what needs to happen to every single "POC safespace" in every publicly funded university. POC don't need a place to be safe from white people. Statistically you can argue it the other way around, but of course this would never fly if anyone even dared to mention such a concept. Stop dividing people by race and gender, then wondering why everyone is so divided.

What an entitled priss. They gave her the pass for way too long, talking to her, asking her to just leave. She's drunk in public, creating a nuisance, being a danger to herself and others, might try to drive, etc. A man would have gotten hauled off to the drunk tank for acting like this in the first 2 minutes after the cops arrived.

The takedown would require years of therapy to get over. They will sucker her into posting pictures to prove she's not obese where it might be revealed that she kind of is. The gps data from the image will ensure she receives a steady supply of laxative samples in the mail along with a membership to something called "Dildo of the month club" Eventually a SWAT team would be called to her house for National Security reasons.

Lowering the bar for women isn't a very good way to show that women can do anything that men can do. The bar is set where it is because that's what it takes to perform the types of missions these people are tasked with. Makes absolutely no sense to change these requirements because of someone's feelings on the matter. Glad to see this.

I've always wanted to believe that technology will bring us more good than evil, and this is encouraging. Cop cams are definitely a good idea, and quite possible these days even per officer. This will protect the cops as much as those they are detaining or interacting with. Watch the numbers of police brutality claims plummet, both because people are less willing to lie, and because cops are more likely to hold back.

There are distinctions for lethal force in some cases, which punching people is not, but it's your right to defend yourself with any means necessary. Not everyone is strong, imagine if the situation was reversed - the big man was trying to overpower the small woman somewhere. Even in CA shooting him would most likely be justified. It gets more complicated when there is an expectation that you could have ran away in states like CA, and if you happen to be male versus a female or larger than your …

You have the right to defend yourself from attack. I'm not sure why you're drawing some distinction between knocking out or not. Self defense is not defined as having to subdue or restrain the other person. She could have gotten shot in some states and it would still count, almost certainly if she was a man. When you decide to assault and batter someone you should probably keep in mind that a concussion isn't the only thing on the menu of retaliation, you could lose an eye, break your neck, ribs…
