You place a lot of value on action and I think you need to hear this: Sex is NOT a reflection of your value as a person The more you see sex or the amount of it as a measurement of how good/successful/wanted you are the more it will ironically screw you over. Keep working on yourself and try to realise that progress and trying to progress in becoming a better person (based on your values) is where you'll start to fill that void from experience and seeing others dot it. See a therapist if need to…

I needed to hear this, cheers mate.

Actually i discuss TRP with my mother regularly and she encourages it. Wants me to enjoy myself and encourages dating multiple women at once. She says "i did the same and dont regret it one bit" (referring to dating multiple men). I never had more respect for her than when she told me to just focus on myself and admitted women are hypergamous and that she learnt it during nurse psychology training.

Just had 3 dates with two women today alone, got laid between date 1 and 3. You are correct.

I can relate: I went speed dating last week and showed more interest in date 3 than date 2 at the end of the night and date 2 went from lovely to throwing constant verbal daggers at everyone. I dont blame her for being upset and I feel a lot of guys also react badly but people need to learn to deal with being told "no" better.

Yeah ended up paying 80 for a years worth. That was almost 12 months ago but it has been worth it. Just today i was feeling a bit anxious (between study, work and shit tests that i didnt need to worry about) and couldnt sleep so i ran two 10minute meditation sessions then i was out like a light. Might differ person to person but i find it amazing.

Action produces inspiration which produces motivation. If in doubt- act, no matter how small it will snowball

Guess we are all raging homos then, i'd still be proud that men are looking after each other. :)

Sounds like you cant believe some of us are good looking and get laid... internet has everyone in it dude. You do make a fair point about sex and getting women not fixing your issues. You'll find some of the wiser folks on here preach self compassion and focussing on your mission - not women - which is what i take TRP to represent.

Yeah do the same response again. That woman isnt worth your time. Or illude to having millions in the inheretence line (dont actually lie just plant seeds and let her make assumptions). Then ghost her when you want to. Parasitic people, yuck.

This is true on so many levels. I want more fellas to know they dont have to live like that. Thanks for contributing 👍

I would recommend reading up on self compassion, ignore the fact that a lot of it is spiritual shit, it works. A note about your choice of self-love messages: You may need to read "the subtle art of not giving a fuck"- mark manson. From a brother that has been there your values are too externally based (outside of your control). You need to make them self focussed as if no one in the world has a say "i am enough", "i love myself the way i am". There are a few veterans on TRP who vouch for this s…

Sure: "Self-affirmation theory contends that if individuals reflect on values that are personally relevant to them, they are less likely to experience distress and react defensively when confronted with information that contradicts or threatens their sense of self.” Wiki link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-affirmation Basically using brainwashing repetition on yourself to instil a sense of self-compassion/worth. In this world that is full of emotional bullshit it acts as thick armour, if yo…

Headspace app, great way to learn the basics imo. Google scientific health benefits of mediation- i use it for all of those. Mainly i got into it to get better at living in the moment so that i think less about the future and the past and enjoy/take life as it comes, in each moment (i know it sounds silly but it really helps).

Positive affirmation training👍 it is what i am currently working on with my psych. Use 1-5 clear, powerful messages to yourself each day on repeat whenever you remember to. "I am enough" is my favourite.

TL:DR: Knowing your emotions isn't to please women, it is to be happier yourself and prevent anxiety and depression. I should specify here that particular segment comes from ACT psychological therapy, it is the basis of overcoming anxiety, anger or depression to understand your emotions. Note this is separate from displaying your emotions in the form of a heartfelt love letter sent by express post to the woman ontop of your pedestal. The idea is once you can identify how you are feeling you can …

As a philosopher i love this. Really nice comparison mate! I am caught in a weird place between 2 and 3. I have never experienced a ridiculous abundance of women (slept with only 5 this year so far). Even though i feel like there are more important things than sleeping with women (gym, self love)- i still feel like i need to go man whoring before i can embrace this fully. Any advice would be appreciated fellas

You're right about the to do part and i love the suggestions but there is something as a psych student i want to sort out here: Dopamine isn't your brains reward system it is the promise of a reward. This means no matter how much dopamine you get you will not feel satisfied but you will be convinced the next dose of dopamine will be satisfying. Examples; video games, bags of malteasers and television. The way of working around dopamine is to recognise the "want" e.g. "i want to play video games"…

Great example of how you dont have to be a complete asshole to still be alpha. Just a balance and letting people do you favours because you know.. you're worth it.

Other than being potentially bi-polar. I would suggest looking into treating your anxiety. (Bi polar was a joke but seriously sounds like you need to look up basic remedies for anxiety; not thinking in absolutes, picturing worst case scenario).

The key to being happy and self aware simultaneuosly is simple: It is by asking self-directed questions using "what" instead of "why". The human subconcious is almost never understood by our concious state. There are many studies showing we get it wrong all the time when we try to guess at our deeper motivations. Even worse we think we are right when we try E.g: after two hours thinking about why you just got angry at your lady for something stupid "...oh so i hate women due to my obvious oedipu…
