Also the case in cyber security. Say the stupidly obvious thing, 50/50 chance that no one thought of it. I've had it happen before: "Shouldn't we do a background check on this new vendor we're working with?" Everyone: Oh yeah, good point! We didn't think of that! Specialists often get carried away with the specialist stuff and need potatoes to remind them of the obvious stuff.

I'm considering taking a break from the internet because I feel myself going down this path. I did all the right things, everything that was asked of me.
