I think you got discouraged by her negative response. Be proud of your progress. Next time express how far you've come and what you've been trying to achieve. Maybe throw out a humble critique like, "heh, yeah. I guess that is a bit excessive, huh? Oh well, no regrets!"

Would you say the same thing if she was 8 years old? I feel like you're just accusing her of being malicious and any one who accepts her gratitude is just gas lighting her. But even if that were true, I don't see the negativity from any of it. I think people like you are just looking for the negativity in it. You can find negativity in anything of you look hard enough. I think putting people down for trying to be positive, even if it is accidentally offensive, is what polarizes people into oppos…

Look dude, you're turning some ones attempt to be positive towards men into an insult. She wasnt saying "Good men, stay in your lane" she was saying "Men work hard, today is a day to say thank you, so thank you". She said that in the face of feminists who think it's a joke and she did it in her own way. Don't put her down because she's not doing it the way you think it should be done. Her message is still positive. Give her a break.

By that logic, there shouldn't even be a mens appreciation day or a women's appreciation day. Actually let's just take a appreciation out of the whole equation. I mean we should just KNOW to appreciate people with out tweets like this that maybe could make ONE person think differently and try to appreciate eachother more. /s
