You genuinely seem inelegant. So how don’t you get that there isn’t a “theory” or pill to this?

I think you’re my favorite person on this sub. And I don’t care if people think I’m simping, and you and me both know we don’t talk outside this sub. But love your takes, dude

What is “Chad” to you?

I think there’s a vast difference between making a mutual decision (aka asking her/him approval) and just doing want you want.

If I saw a man cry in public I’d come up and ask him if he’s ok. Same as a woman. Who are these people who just walk past?

This sounds like an awful idea for anyone. I can’t see any benefits to both partners, only benefits to the one with no experience. Relationships should have benefits to both. And being used by someone that couldn’t pull in their youth, just so they can learn how to do basic relationship shit, is disgustingly selfish behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 09:12 PM

She absolutely doesn’t. Sometimes when we’re away we tell each other stories about things we did while one of us watches. And I don’t think every relationship is capable of this. Be we are. Because we’re our people.

Then they failed at being a partner. I didn’t fail. That’s wholly on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 06:17 AM

Nope. I either trust her/him or I don’t. Only cheaters cheat. And I don’t date them. And “cuck” literally means nothing to me. I’m friends with multiple exes and she is too. I understand the insecurity. But some of us break up and it’s mutual, and we realize we just didn’t work out, but we valued the time together. I’m not jealous of exes who fucked my partner. They are literally a part of her past. I’m her current, and hopefully her future. At no point in time will I care.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 06:16 AM
-21

But that would be insecure. She’s with him. I’ve had a few mutual breakups, and they’re some of my closest friends. Why would I ditch them for a partner’s insecurities?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 06:11 AM

I know you mean figurative child, but fucking 13 year olds will tear you apart.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:45 AM

I don’t care if people make fun of this, but I’ll tell you a true thing. “Field of Dreams” “Rocky II” “Requiem for a Dream” I sob like a baby at the end of all of them. And sometimes I go searching for the specific moments. I want to feel those things. Sometimes I want a good cry. And ugly cry. It’s cathartic.

I make close to 90k and my partner makes 80k. We live in Seattle, both with masters degrees and working in our desired fields. It’s not near enough to afford a lifestyle where one could quit their job. But we have amazing school districts, culture, and we aren’t giving it up. Now if I were back in Missouri, making the same, I could probably pull it off. But neither of us likes being in a red state and land locked. We agree on the life choices we make and made together.

Family Ties was a good TV take on this if you’re not familiar. Michael J Fox was the rebellious youth, who embraced conservatism when he had hippy parents. Edit: wrong title

Omg I remember fondly these fights on MySpace in their like group threads (I forget what they were called, similar to a Reddit thread). Had so much fun arguing with fundies in the early 2000s
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 03:19 AM

I remember my Tinder days a decade ago. I met many men and women who had used photos from a decade ago at best. You’re probably too young to remember HotorNot but we used to rate each other. Nothing will change. And meeting face to face will always call it

If your boundaries try to include other people they aren’t you boundaries. I’ve said this many times before, but you can’t build a fence around a neighbor’s yard and be pissed when they cross it. Values? Yes. Boundaries: absolutely not
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 07:37 AM

Oh. That’s very different than what I imagined, and I want to apologize. Not that I think she’ll be tempted, but because that’s a highly stressful emotional situation. For both of you. It sounds like she could use therapy, too. To find out what her need for outside validation is for. The reasons for it are probably obvious but buried. And I would encourage you to politely and kindly address them.

It’s sad, honestly, you think we’re enemies. Your slurs don’t offend or bother me. So let’s say I’m a simp: I’m a simp that’s had a fuckboi phase and gotten around. Let’s say I’m wounded: yeah. Past partners have absolutely wounded me. Soldier: yup, served right before and during 9/11. You literally cannot verbally damage me, so if you want to actually talk, do so. If not…cool. 😘

Rather than berate you, let me say this: It’s ok. You’re both so fucking young. I’m 40, and could be your dad. And you seem smart. Like legitimately, emotionally smart. But you have to trust her to come come, and come home to you. Me and my partner have a rule where we can unlock phones at any time. But I think in six years we’ve used it like three times, and all of those following drinking. I’m a relationship therapist now, and I can tell you at max only 20% of people cheat. And of those, it’s …

I am a therapist. A couples ones. Values are something you share. Boundaries are exclusive to you. They get tied together too often. If we share values we’ll dress modestly, not flirt with others, even if it’s “innocent,” etc But I cannot set a boundary around my partner. The therapeutic boundary is personal. And the hijacking of it is extremely problematic. “It’s against my values for you to dress this way” is acceptable. “It’s breaking my boundaries for you to dress this way,” is not. Words ch…

Absolutely! I have (sadly) encouraged many couples to break up because of differences in values. But values and boundaries are vastly different things to me, and people in my profession
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/24 05:25 AM

It is absolutely a sign of insecurity if you think your “boundaries” extend to someone else and how they dress. And I don’t care if you or anyone thinks I’m a simp. I’m 40 years old with an N count higher than you can fathom. It’s easy to get laid if you’re confident. You take care now bb 🥰

From my experience, RP men aren’t interested in relationships. At least not healthy ones. I’ve professionally dealt with three who wanted a trad life and were able to provide that (taking care of all bills while wife is stay at home). The rest I’ve met have wanted control of their partners, and wanted them to change from the women they were while they were dating, into the women they wanted them to be after. And that doesn’t work. Trad wives exist. But don’t date someone posting thirst traps and…

Whenever anyone says they’re autistic I ask them the name of the doc that diagnosed them. Mind you this is in a professional, therapist setting. Most say they self-diagnosed. Not all. But literally most. Which isn’t how it works. You don’t get to be a computer engineer and then self-diagnose a serious mental condition. Not even I get to do that.

My random internet person, she wants to look good and feel good. And maybe she wants to feel validated. But only cheaters cheat. Women and men who don’t cheat won’t cheat.

You can’t set boundaries around other people. No therapist will tell you otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/24 05:02 AM

Because she’s 17. And wants to be noticed. This isn’t difficult to understand

Your boundaries can’t fence in a partner. You can only put boundaries around yourself. If she wants to do this, she has wanted to do this before OP and her met. It’s absolutely a sign of insecurity, and no modern relationship will survive it. She’ll ask for therapy. OP will either go and change or stay the same and lose her. And she’ll find someone less insecure.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/24 05:00 AM

You’ll understand eventually

I saw a normal woman dressed comfortably and at times flattering. She never wore anything even close to “risqué” and even if she did, who cares? She probably did before and bro is mad that she still does.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/24 06:06 AM

Bruh. You can’t be the clueless. The woman you’ve been mostly replying to is a virgin, and doesn’t need me standing up for her, but if you knew her at all by reading her posts you know she isn’t some skanky person putting out and flaunting. She’s stating a point. And I don’t know how you can’t get it.

I don’t many men get how socially inept they are. They watch videos of PUA and other people and try to imitate them and it just comes across the way it is: sad and desperate.

Most couples now meet through online interactions. Not just OLD. Make friends on instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and then shoot your shot after you know them, their interests, and can carry a conversation. I’ve met so many friends online that led to irl relationships and friendships. It’s literally not hard at all.

Never heard this from any woman. Not sure where you’re seeing this stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:47 AM
1

Exactly. Rejection doesn’t have to be a big deal. Take your ego out of it. If she/he doesn’t want you, that’s on them. The main reason many women don’t want to be cold approached is because of how men deal with rejection. The other reason is, as you said, many women won’t be interested regardless of attraction, because that’s not how they want to meet their partner or someone they date.

I mean, I’ll take all my hookups and ONS and FWB situations over just being sad, mad and lonely. They had value to me. They made me feel better. Feel attractive.

Comparing casual sex with murder. Yikes.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 07:19 PM

It’s only embarrassing to insecure people. Where that insecurity comes from is a better question you should address. Perhaps in therapy.

Friend zone was in the 90s. I remember hearing about it when I was 16 and that would’ve been 1999. The movie Slackers (2002) said “treat a girl like dirt, and she’ll stick to you like mud.” I remember thinking both those things were bs then, just as I do now. New grift, different name.

Not if he opens doors for men equally as women. I respect you want a trad lifestyle. But I’d never date a woman who didn’t want to be equal partners. Like I get you. But isn’t for me. Or my partner. We want equality. I love the fact she currently makes more than me, and she loves that I’m a pacifist and would never own a weapon. Different strokes

Then they can have those men 😂 Just stand up for yourself. And discuss it beforehand. Talk about “we split first date, and then take turns paying after that.” That’s literally what me and my partner did. And yeah, I got her some small gifts (very small, like $20 or less) in-between, but she did the same for me. We saw cute thing when we first started dating and just bought them and gave them. She also makes more than me. Weird how hypergamy doesn’t always fit. Because I ain’t Chad.

As a therapist…that’s just flat wrong. Men just tend to deny the benefits of being listened to and want a therapist to offer solutions instead, and then are likely to say therapy failed them when us therapists do what we do, instead of what some men want us to do. Biggest struggle in relationship therapy are the men, so much of the time. Their female partners (assuming cis het) just want to be heard, and the men who “flunk out” for lack of a better phrase, are the ones who want a list of solutio…

Some people aren’t destined for romance or romantic love. Why is that anyone’s fault or problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 03:12 PM

You said it doesn’t satiate your desire. Literally what you said.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:51 PM

Seems like a personal issue, not a men’s issue. If you’re not satisfied being yourself and around friends, you’re not going to be satisfied with a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:46 PM

Majority of women can’t. I have literally zero worry about it, dude. I have no problem using toys or oral sex to get a female partner off. My ego is literally zero attached to someone else’s orgasm. What a weird thing to be hung up about.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:15 PM

You: “Would you hold my hand?”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:06 PM

Weird that some cultures hate females having orgasms 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:03 PM

Being held is the most manly you can get
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 02:01 PM

Over 50% of women can’t orgasm due to just PIV sex. So I don’t understand anyone who would look down on giving a woman an orgasm. If that wasn’t your point, go for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 01:59 PM

Making your female partner orgasm?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 01:55 PM

Probably their parents, tbh.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 01:50 PM

Yikes. This doesn’t end well, my friend. Lying never does. She will find out. You’ll leave your phone open or one of your mates will message and she will find out. You might think you have a perfect plan. But you don’t. Liars are always found out. Literally always.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 01:49 PM

Man after my own heart
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 06:34 AM

That’s interesting. Us bi people aren’t sluts. But we’re more open. I think us bi people are more willing to try. But that doesn’t make us all poly, or all sluts. That said, the only threesomes I’ve had have been with “straight” couples. But even then, was either one or the other who wanted it more.

Yeah, I don’t know much about him, but everything I’ve seen is him saying most people can’t do poly. Which, in my experience, professionally either couples, I have know two couples who have been poly and can make it work. Their issues that need therapy are interpersonal, not issues with them seeing other people. That said, outside of those two couples, I’d never recommend opening up the marriage, because it fails unless you’re both poly and know so from the start that’s what you want

I met my last partner online. But it wasn’t dating apps. She was on insta and I “slid into” her DMs. It wasn’t thirst traps, but she occasionally posts those. It was her art.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 04:36 AM

Explain reasons you didn’t t message. Doubt? Game? Etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 02:49 AM

Think about yourself. And imagine your gf/wife needs either foreplay or oral/finger manipulation of her clit to orgasm. And now imagine it can take a bit of time. It’s worth it. But it takes a little time. Now imagine you’ve just had the worst day at work. And you’re feeling self conscious. Wounded. Whatever. We should have standards. That’s the biggest issue I disagree with on red pill mentality (not necessarily the theory, but the mentality that comes with it) When I did Tinder like a decade ago, and it was still like all hookups, I didn’t swipe on every woman or man (Grindr for that, don’t think same sex was allowed back then). I still had looks standards. And if we matched, even for a hookup, I needed some indication they were a human with a sense of humor, similar political philosophy, etc. yes,…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:46 AM

Teasing and foreplay always work
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:40 AM

And I absolutely agree. And wish I could help them better. The solace I get is helping men listen to their partners more. That’s an “action” or solution I can offer. But I couldn’t do one-on-one with males. I would have so little to offer. Working on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:33 AM

Ahh gotcha. Kk.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:31 AM

In my therapy sessions a lot of it comes back to conversations. “Well X did this with an ex, and I can’t.” Or, “Well X did this and I never got to.” It mostly boils down to comparison, imo. I have a high body count. My partner does too. We loved see when we were in our 20s. People think it’s odd I prefer a woman with a higher n count, but that’s because I do, and I want an equal who gets my life experience. Would be hypocritical to have my high count and expect less
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:29 AM

Literally just curious what you mean? How does a woman +1 you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:25 AM

Just the tip is the best game men can play, brother.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:24 AM

And I get that. I do. It’s what I struggle, professionally, the most when it comes to what I do, which is couples therapy. When couples come in the majority of women want to be heard, and the majority of men want solutions. I excel at the first. And struggle with the second. My field isn’t really tailored for that. Which is why I think so many males say therapy is a joke. It’s just not tailored for a lot of men. And I work on that. But I also don’t think like a lot of males. And that’s, again, n…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:20 AM

Well, I’m a licensed therapist. And I don’t DM people first, but if you want to unload I would listen. That said: I’m sorry that’s your life experience. Some people would rather talk than listen. Thinking they’re helping. Fight Club had a good line about it, regarding self help groups: “When people are dying they really, really listen to you —“ “Instead of just waiting their turn to speak?” And the fact she cuts him off nails the point
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:17 AM

That’s kind of what I’m getting at. I don’t want a pat on the back. I want acknowledgment of my feelings and experiences. Just LISTEN
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:07 AM

Because so many of us don’t want others to solve our problems. We want you to understand them. Hear them. And just say, “that sucks.”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:06 AM

So, what’s your body count?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 11:47 PM

This isn’t a male “pick me” comment, but I really don’t get the issue with many men I know or see (professionally) trying to solve problems rather than just fucking listening to problems. I don’t want you to solve my problem and tell me solutions. I want you to hear me and say you understand. Ffs.

Texting and being genuine is so easy. And I mean legit genuine. There’s this great episode of Parks and Rec, where Chris (like the nicest and most supportive guy ever) can’t figure out why his pregnant girlfriend is getting so frustrated with him. And of all people Tom (probably typical red pill man, but who also had a heart of gold) told him, “sometimes women need to hear two words from you: that. Sucks.” And yes, it’s a show, and not real life. But sometimes we don’t want our problems solved. …

Same. And women. Whoever I’m into is my priority. And hopefully I’m there’s. Mutually wanting the other to feel so, so good.

Definitely. We rented an old firehouse complete with a pole slide. Miss those days, but also glad they’re behind me. Hope you’re having the best Sunday, Ainsley!

The theater kids have their own “frat” It’s just not recognized. But we definitely had our own place and people who lived there.

That sentiment alone is probably why the men don’t get it. Desperation gives almost all people the ick

Bruh, we’re human beings. You think we can control being turned on by others? Adults who have any morals just don’t act on them, outside masturbation.

There is no way to “act like a man.” That’s purely subjective.

Literally not true, if you’re worth a woman’s time.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 11:13 AM

My gf said this to me recently. Jason. Johnny. James. I’m fine with it 😂

Celebrities are worth more because they bring more. Taylor Swidt and all other celebrities make music and movies that bring in billions every year. The people they employ, and the people who help them with concerts, movie production, etc… The industry, as it’s called here in California, employs millions of people. And they’re dependent on stars making money and people paying to see them. A teacher’s worth is probably invaluable, because we don’t track what happens after school, and how much valu…

Some women might. If they want a trad life especially. My partner literally doesn’t care. Because combined we can travel, take vacations, eat out when we want, etc. We just pool resources. How is this hard to understand? Like literally all my friends and our friends are like this. The 6/6/6 conspiracy is a meme and a joke. And one perpetuated by men who have never dated, or probably even had a female friend. In fact most of them probably would mock men who have female friends as “cucks.” They ca…

This is why most reviewers leave either 5 stars or 1. If they love or hate something they are super vocal. The people in “3-star” relationships, where everything is just average and fine don’t leave a lot of “reviews” on social media. They’re content, and don’t feel the need to be vocal in a positive or negative way about their relationship.

Noticed this with religious people more than anyone else. The religious people I know at work had pressure to get married by mid 20s. I never had that pressure myself, so the idea was completely foreign

Maybe for some men/women. Both me and my gf enjoy anal a lot though, wether that be a finger or pegging or PIA

Trust me. When one relationship or marriage ends in your mid-30s or later, you accept that the majority are single moms or have been married before. You’re not meeting low n count single women at that age. And statistically, you’re going to.

Literally not true. Outside of OLD work is secondary to meeting a partner or spouse

Is that what you truly think? Do you really think women even think about men, let alone rejoice when they “suffer”?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/23 08:02 AM

So? Men and women age. Most people who marry young will date older. Divorce rates show this. And most men in their older ages are not going to be pulling women in their late teens. And even if they could, it would be disgusting. 🤢
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 04:15 PM

Then he has nothing to worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 04:05 PM

So, since garbage men like to say, “height isn’t something men can control,” they should extend the same courtesy to women they want extended to them, since age isn’t something women can control. Right? Or are people being hypocritical again?

Women don’t actively seek out these men. That’s red pill fantasy land, only backed up by selective YouTube videos and cherry picked studies based only on surveys
