| 5 | I hope this counts.Yes, they’re are postnups but in order for it to be enforceable and make it less likely a judge will throw it out come the time of divorce, you’d need to get both parties to have their own legal representation and sign the paperwork (not in all cases but INAL). It makes sense in the respect if, say you’re paying for your spouse’s bills and rent while they’re in medical school, they are less inclined to drop you after they graduate and are a doctor making a lot more money than you now - you made that sacrifice to your career by working instead of going to school initially.
