If you aren't pursuing your goals (or are doing so lazily) and allowing life to dictate your decisions, life will make those decisions for you and you don't want life to make your own decisions for you. Your life situation can change with the wind and if you're not building that empire, your safety net could disappear. Decent passive income on that triplex? Wham, triple vacancies for half a year. Of the soon-to-be successful men I've seen/met they all had a sense of urgency, almost to the point …

Dude, that sucks the rest of your trip was a bummer afterward. Looking back, that is an amazing life lesson and kudos for sticking with your word and having self-respect. Most men would have caved, I know from experience it takes stern resolve to reject your first/LTR, even when you know the relationship is over and they keep fighting to save it, but in Europe? Well done, your life is far the better for it.

I'm glad to see a well written "wake up" story, and one I can relate to. Your head is in the right place, keep focusing on yourself, frequently ask "how does this profit me?" and don't be afraid to say 'no' when the favor provides nothing of benefit. It's surprising how people will respect your decisions and often treat you better afterwards. The people who complain about not getting freebees from you? Ghost them out of your life, they're likely toxic and will drag you down. Why would you 'pay' …

The insult I'm thinking of (that was thrown back at me later) was earlier in the encounter, we weren't touching at that point. I may have said something rude during the middle of our time together, not completely sure, if I remember it I'll share it.

While growing up I was raised in a very blue pill manner in an overly conservative household. Granted this brought years of social awkwardness and crippling anxiety I didn't realize I had. One day, I decided I would take up yoga. I had herniated a disc in my back years ago and it was constantly hurting, I had heard yoga was great for healing back injuries so I figured why not? After a solid month of 4-5 days a week I felt spectacular. Back pain completely gone and feeling stronger than ever desp…

I have been lifting for a solid 10 months, seeing noticeable muscular gains all around which is fantastic but I have zero chest/back hair. This has been an issue since day 1 of puberty and I have never had any grow at all. Is there a point where this might be race dependent or have I not gone far enough with training? Anglo-saxon mostly Welsh descent.

She already has one. Ouch, she did bring up exes several times (despite my changing conversation topics), the truth hurts. Thank you for the honesty. Did she cheat? If yes, next. Not during our relationship, she tied up waaay too much time with me and was very invested. After we broke up she told me she would have dropped her current guy in a heartbeat to be with me if I had contacted her (uh huh, sure babe). Since then she has undoubtedly rode the carousel during her college years. if your reso…

Excellent, thanks for the breakdown. I knew something was off with my answer and I can see why. I was agreeing and giving her statement more credit than it was worth. I actually ended the relationship five or so years ago, we had hooked up more recently at a college party two years ago and she cut out of that after a second failed hookup attempt. When we originally broke up she was tying up too much of my time in school and caused my grades to slip during college.

I loved that movie, all the women in the future were incredibly overpriced whores and massive bitches. All men would go home to their robot wives who were everything the real women of the day weren't.

Futurama predicted the fall of mankind due to incessant human-robot coupling. Seems like a damn fun way to go extinct. EDIT: Found a link to the video! http://vimeo.com/12915013

"Woah, what happened dude? Do you think she's been cheating on you lately?" I'd use an open ended question to get the guy talking, offer some bullshit advice, steer the conversation into oblivion, and make some excuse to get the hell out of there.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
