Yes! Im my more recent experience, if you get the hook then women like the idea of discovering things about you as they go.

Great insight! I used to try and get leverage by 'displaying value': dropping things into conversation and stories that would show me as interesting. Its not terrible to do, and it can be helpful. But these days I prefer to have women find out about themselves as they go. I dont try to front-load a display of value. Im not trying to generate mystery (although apparently that can be a side effect). I just think it prevents me from going into brag mode and thus displaying low value / neediness. It…

Stop overthinking and go talk to girls. Rejection happens all the time on cold approach. The more you do, the better you get and the rejection rate falls. Now go out and meet women. Now.

learn the basics read the wiki .... Relationship building and sexual chemistry are two different domains that dont necessarily overlap. The character traits and their expressions for * relationships * triggering of desire ... are separate and not always overlapping. Ideally if you want a girlfriend then you want to have the character traits that women find attractive for relationships. But men can have those traits without having or expressing the traits that trigger desire. If you want to trigg…

Its really unfortunate that you are at a college where only one girl attends. If only you were at a college with more than one girl then you'd be able to take the rejection and then move on to try and meet other girls.

This is a subreddit devoted to improving mens skill when it comes to dating: learn the basics. Read the sub's wiki. Find a copy of the book Double Your Dating and read it. Im not aware of a good/cannonical open-source text on the basics. Someone else might have one. But the wiki and DYD are good starting points. Many commenters in this sub havent read the wiki and dont know the basics. So avoid advice from them, and anyone else who insists that improvement is impossible.

Your attitude is fucked. A man's potential for getting good at seduction depends on their capacity for creating win-win games and making the world a better place. If she isnt interested, then move on. If you are unsatisfied at your volume of rejections, then work on your character. Becoming attractive requires ongoing work on self-improvement. Good men respect the boundaries of women.

There's a mix of content quality and motivations. Theres nothing innately wrong with being insecure or nerdy. We are learning this stuff out of a desire for self-improvement. Its inevitable that there are some creepers though. Thats unfortunate. But thats the internet for you.

That will most likely make the situation worse, because it'll give her an opportunity to create drama. She will take whatever opportunity she has to nerf your capacity to connect with anyone. The baseline best response is to give her zero energy. Zero opportunity to create more drama. Allow your good character to speak for itself when creating social connections. The women in your social circle will get it. One thing that might work (its worked for me before) is to be transparent about the dynam…

The purpose of learning seduction is to grow as a person, and fulfill the goals you have for your love-life. You start by learning basic pickup theory and putting it into practice. Over time you learn to embody the characteristics of men who are naturally seductive. This widens your capacity for self-expression, making romance easier and making your social life in general easier. "Getting laid" is just the ground floor. It doesnt stop there at all.

I cant give a percentage for certain, because ive been doing it for so long. But that percentage has gone up over time. I know that in the last two years it has been 100%. There are caveats though: in the last two years I habe more often been exchanging socials rather than numbers. But on the other hand, a phone number is considered more personal than social media contact details. But also - part of the point of giving rather than taking a number is to filter out women who arent sufficiently mot…

Sleep with them before texting them. Sorry for sounding (mostly) glib. But seriously: getting numbers is a great point to get to if you haven't done it before. It can boost your confidence. But for women it means next to nothing. It isnt an indicator of interest. So unless youve already hooked her interest seriously, it wont mean anything. Instead, give her your number. Then forget about her and move to the next connection. If she is interested, she will contact you..

High quality problem. This is a good plateau to be at. The friend is seeing the buying temperature of her friend rise. They are colluding to prevent sex. I dont game in clubs so much anymore. Read Double Your Dating by David Deangelo. It is short and practical. It gives a good grounding in theory. And it gives practical tactical advice. Mystery Method is kinda dated and a little cringy in some aspects. But it also provides good theory and tactical examples that you can adapt from. The term "pick up artist" hasnt really been used in earnest in decades. Students and teachers generally recognize that the idea isn't to "become a pua", but to become an attractive man. Tactics are just tra…

The guy responding to you is being disingenuous. The model itself is just a loose framework. You can take or leave the actual routines. You don't have to know magic tricks, and Mystery was always clear about that. What the framework does quite well is present a model of courtship that can be applied practically.

Double Your Dating by David Deangelo. The Game is good for describing Mystery's framework. You dont have to use that framework. But as training wheels it is good.

Find Mystery's old material. It was developed specifically for the LA club scene. It might be a little dated now in some fine details. But the framework is solid. Mystery Method gives theory and practical tactical advice. A couple of things to bear in mind though: Mystery was always clear that his system provides training wheels. Once you understand attraction and develop your confidence - which you can gain by using his model - you can let go of the training wheels. The other thing is clubs are…

The thing holding you back is the fear of not getting the outcome you want. You have to be ok with fucking up. You have to be ok with being rejected. This subreddit is good. But there are some profoundly damaged dudes that come here just to drag you down into their senseless hole of hopeless. Block them. It literally doesn't matter. Exude positivity and a level of energy just a little higher than her and her friends are putting out. Talk with joy and positivity about anything. The content of what you are saying is less important than your energy. Owen would get his students to approach women while talking about salad. No. Like pretty much everything else in life: if you exert energy toward an outcome then the desired outcome is more likely to occur. Theres a lot of mysticism around sex an dating produced by people who just want to sound aloof, masterful and above the sheer messiness of it all. In this area you have to balance the two. One of the old-school fundamentals is "what women say they want and what women respond to are two different things". Of course this is not 100% true all the time in all situations. But it is a helpful principle.

Clubs are hard. This is also why they are good training grounds. It helps to look at clubs as pressure-test environments for developing your connection skills. You are there to improve your communication skills.

Naturals wing with or for you. And you probably dont want them to. They generally dont see the point, and generally are likely to eat your lunch. Winging in the game is for learning from each other as well as bouncing off each other to keep you both in the right vibe. Why are investing so much into nothing? Stop paying for dinners. Make your first dates free or cheap. Outdoor events, walks, cafes. Dont pay for a dinner until you are a couple of months in to a relationship. Dinner dates signify that you are emotionally and psychologically invested already. Your underlying issue is that you are psychologically and emotionally invested already. That won't go away with a little online advice. You need to work on that. Again, there should be a sidebar here that points men to the basics. You have things so muddled that I dont know where to start. With a little practice, you will be able to take a woman for a coffee date after a few minutes of conversation. You dont want her to feel that its 'serious'. The point is to keep it fun, casual and light. Getting coffee dates is far, far easier than getting dinner dates. The women who expect dinner dates arent interested in sleeping with you.

I think it helps to go into it with the attitude of surrender: you are helpless against your anxiety because everythign that happens is outside your control. The next few seconds are a complete mystery. So surrender to the helpless and powerlessness and do it anyway. Allow yourself to be in an arena where you cannot control anything. >> any ti…

I don't believe that 10's have it easier. If anything they have it harder. They are more likely to be pursued by men who want to impress their male peers. Which would lead to miserable relationship mismatches. They are likely to be surrounded by men with ulterior motives, and men acting incongruently because they feel they have to impress her. They are more likely to be viewed as objects, trophies and mirrors of men's desires and resentments. When you consider these realities, it's much more und…

I think the scene puts far too much emphasis on "building attraction". In reality, humans have very good instincts. Most women you talk to will trust their instincts in regard to whether to take things further. And there is very very little you can do about, other than build your character over the long term. What you could do tactically is simply work on making the conversation interesting and keeping it alive. Don't waste your time trying to execute flirtatious gambit unless they feel very nat…

Probably the right call. It might have been better to brush it off and make mental note of it. Maybe ignore it until you see a clear pattern. But if you chose to sacrifice a friendship and a possible relationship because you are committed to self-respect, then you did the right thing. Feeding your self-respect through sacrifice feeds your character. That's a foundation of inner game.
