*how batshit crazy people have always been. Individual people have always had outrageous views/opinions, unfortunately now the internet gives them the ability to congregate and evolve them. Even if this were real, in my opinion it's a waste of time to drag things like this into the light. The absolute fringe feminists may share her opinion, those people don't matter. It's the mainstream opinions and misconceptions that we need to spend our time fighting. Men can't be abused. Men are incompetent …

It's not. It's been verified satire on several of it's many reposts.

I don't know (or care to know) many women who would make the case that women can't or don't perpetuate toxic masculinity.

I understand some people use the phrase toxic masculinity as a way to hate men, but that's not what it's suppose to be. It is the way to define masculinity just like whats happening here, where if you don't fit the stereotypical manly man then you're a failure and you deserve to be the butt of jokes. When an actual, good intentions feminist uses the term they're using it to support us. They want the same thing we do.

Interesting jump here. He at no point said being masculine is a bad thing, he is stating that being a man, while not being generically masculine is fine. That judging someone for not living up to what your warped standards of manhood is wrong.

These are clear examples of true toxic masculinity. Every single one of us grew up with this and more than likely still deal with it on a near daily basis.

Honestly I'd get it if it were a family member, because that's exactly what you'd hear me say if it were my family. Police Chief though is rough. I reckon that's a reflection of how they view men any time a domestic dispute pops up.

I went to the article expecting it to be a quote from one of the family members, it's the Fresno police chief.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but strength disparity should be taken into consideration here, and when I say that I don't apply gender to that statement. I'm 6'1 250lbs, if a 130lb woman takes a swing at me unless shes a trained fighter I'm not swinging back. Same thing applies to a guy, if I have some scrawny guy pissed at me for some reason or another trying to fight me I'm going to defend myself but I'm not going to retaliate, I'm not looking to kill anyone.

Poor kid. I would go to war if that were my child.

I don't know, maybe it's just how liberally it's thrown around that bothers me. My problem with the term may be completely invalid as well.

I love seeing posts like this. Being able to see things from a different perspective and take away positives from it is such a strength. After a 3 or 4 hour (civil) conversation with a feminist friend of mine, I call myself an ally to feminism. While I hate the terms 'toxic masculinity' and 'patriarchy' I understand where (certain) feminists are coming from with it. When I was younger I lived in a kinda ghetto house that had been split into apartments, the walls were paper thin. At one time one …

I am so fucking happy I'm out of the dating pool.

So the solution to that is to push for full custody (good fucking luck) and then attempt to further fight to release the child for adoption?

That's not the punishment to the kid he's referring to. The punishment he's referring to would be taking full custody (ripping the child away from people he cares about) and handing the child off to a bunch of people he doesn't know. Did you miss that somehow?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
