I’m still waiting. Hell we split 2 years ago. And we didn’t have sex for about 10 years prior to that. (By my choice) there was no point all she wanted was to lay there like a lump of flesh. The last time we had sex she actually asked if I was done in the middle. She wanted to go play on her phone. She even said the phone part. So I just stopped and let her. I knew then and there our relationship was dead. I stayed for 10 years trying to wait for the kids to turn 18. But didn’t make it. I’m so g…

Man if the only thing you have to worry about is a car, cut your losses and run. Your health is a much bigger concern than a car.

Yep I’ll never even date again. A trip to a few select locations 2-3 times a year for a week at a time. And I’ll just rent a GF for the week. I’ll be able to get what I want when I want it. Asian, Russian, Brazilian, Colombian, the list goes on. Dating and relationships in the U.S. are pointless.

I can jerk it anytime I want. Lol sorry couldn’t help It. I love the freedom, I can come and go as I please. If I wanna go eat something at 1:00am I do it. If I wanna go meet with friends after work and stay out until 10:30 I can. I can call up my boss, drop everything and travel 5 states away just to help Out. I don’t need to explain what I’m doing to anyone and have them guilt trip me. I do what ever I want when I want. That’s hard to beat.

The problem I have is you are not entitled to shit. Yes he is a piece of garbage for treating you this way. yes it will be his responsibility to raise his child. But who can provide the better living situation for the child? And who can give the child what is needed. What will custody look like? There are many many factors that go into this. And you could end up not receiving any child support. This would actually be preferable for sake of the child. It means mom and dad are doing what’s in thei…

I’m taking the debt, but that’s because I was able To fight and get the courts to say they didn’t have jurisdiction over anything other than the kids. (She filed in one state I live in another. And the state she filed in we only lived there for 5 of the 19 years we were together) and by them not having jurisdiction over anything else, it works to my advantage to take in the debt. It’s only about $60K most of that being my truck. As I am avoiding the alimony issue, that would have been almost 10 …

Was married and divorced within 14months the first time, but I was 18 at the time, she got pregnant and I wanted to do the right thing. Got married again at 23, was married for 18ish years. And now I’ll never do it again. Hell I’ll be doing good if I have a casual GF again.

Man, I feel your pain. My kids have been ripped from me, my ex has them brainwashed. My kids threaten to kill themselves over spending time With me. My kids believe that I am dangerous, I am a monster, and that I am evil. I have been told all Of these things over and over. I also hear how great mom is. And how she cannot do anything wrong. Mom even encouraged my oldest to pull a knife on me. Mom has belittled me to the kids since they were super young. And how I was the mean dad, but mom was the…

DeSantis just signed a new bill about this very topic. Go get a lawyer and cover your ass. Pay him the $1500 a month for 1.5 years to do his job and make the alimony issue go away. Also the house was it owned prior to the marriage? If yes by whom? They should be fighting to retain ownership. If it was purchased during the marriage, tell her to buy you out after she has an appraisal done, or ask the courts to force the sale and split the proceeds 50/50. The reality is you actually have a fairly e…

Look man, coming from a guy that struggles with mental health and that knows with the end of my handgun tastes like, do not ignore this. It may just be for attention, but there is the possibility that she is begging for help and even though you are divorced, she may not have people she trusts to reach out to. Hell I would never go to my family with my problems. They have no idea of my struggles. I seek help elsewhere, and always will. So please for the sake of your kids, find a family member to …

You need to demand that Alimony. And you need to stop being nice. This is nearly a business transaction. Do what is in the best interest for your business, don’t let yours fail so she can succeed. Why would you do that?

I don’t place any importance on anything a woman has. Why because I want nothing to do with them anymore. If I need to get laid, there’s porn for that. No need for a woman in this world…..

Wait so you are still legally married and she is openly admitting to being a cheating whore. Seems to me that’s a really good argument with the courts for you to have the house the kids and for her to GTFO and be on her own. You need to man up realize she is walking all over you. You are loosing everything she is gaining everything. You need a scum sucking lawyer asap. You need one that will be willing to hammer her to the wall.

Ooh and yes I will be going and not seeing my kids. She has manipulated them to the point they refuse to talk to me, and our 15yo threatened to kill herself if she had to spend time with me. So as much as it hurts they are already gone. Now it’s just about getting past the legal obligation that the courts say I have to pay.

I’m in the same boat I have sworn off women. I will not have another gf/wife that lives with me. I’m building a strategic plan to move to the Philippines, my goal is to get my ducks in a row, and be ready to go in about 3 years when one of the kids drops off child support. I’m working now to position myself for a fully remote job with work. And with some other money coming in, I’ll be able to Continue paying child support on the other child until she is 18 then I’m done. Moving to the Philippine…

My life sucks because of it. But I also am still in that transition phase. We have been apart for 12 months now, and after what has taken place in the last 12 months. I know I’ll come Out the other side much better. My kids won’t talk to me. I have 2 to pay for. But the older is 15 next month. So 3 short years then I’ll only be paying for 1. And at that point it will be a fully remote job to cover that cost, and a one way ticket to a foreign destination where my cost of living will be low enough…

So don’t buy. Rent something. Go be with family. That will be gone one day then you can worry about that interest rate.

I’m with you. I haven’t even talked to our oldest in over a year. My 14 year old Amd 10 year old have been manipulated by mom and to the point my 14 yo has told me they would rather die than talk to me or be around me. But yet prior to all of this, her and I were inseparable we did everything together. My 10 year old has compartmentalized the whole thing and will not talk to me in any real level. All I get from her is Hi dad. Then she wants nothing else. I have lost my kids, I would give anythin…

You are not kidding. The only reason I’m still here is my emergency contact is my sister. And I refuse to put her though that. So I just keep on going. I am planning on taking a vacation to the Philippines when my bonus comes in at thanksgiving. And I’m really thinking about not ever coming back. Thinking about going and having a good time and just never making it back home. Maybe swimming off into the sunset……

Sprint to a lawyers office. Do not pass go do not collect $200. Do NOT have sex with her effective last week. Any money you have in joint accounts, needs to stop, you need to start getting documentation together of anything you had prior to the marriage. You need to start splitting everything asap. You want as little co-mingled assets as possible. Once you have this altogether, file the divorce. My ex and my mom going into an argument, she convinced me not to talk to my mom for about 5-6 years. …

Lol what happens is they talk to a lawyer, and the scum sucking lawyer convinces them to fight you on everything, and how to do it. Why because they feed the woman a pipe dream of how they deserve to have everything and you are abusive, and should get nothing. They convince them that fighting in court is the only option. They convince them that they will fight to have legal fees covered for them, and get them in the mindset that it’s all for money. The whole system is geared towards sucking as m…

I went from a 4bed 3.5 bath 2600sq ft house to a 560 sq ft studio on the opposite side of the country. I can’t say that I’m better off. Mentally I’m fucked up. And this shitty apartment has become a prison cell, that I only leave for the slave labor to keep the ex and kids supplied with money and a good life while the bitch works a bull shit pointless job that is way below her means.

I know this all too well. The loss of exercise, eating junk, and depression started well Before the split. Now it’s just work and the TV, because all Income goes to her.

Man I feel you there. I have 3 kids, and I make about $135k a year, and between CS and alimony she gets 60% or about $81k a year. And I also have $80k of marital debt that’s left after we sold the house. Yes I am Alone in a studio apartment on the other side of the country. I am eligible for visitation in the state she lives in, but only for 2 weeks a year. I can barely afford my bills I can’t even save for a trip out to see my kids. Let alone the additional expenses of hotels, meals rental car …

While I wasn’t as well Off as some of you, I had a very comfortable life. And when we split I ended up with nothing, and I get the privilege of paying her 60% of my income for the next 8 years. Well I’m turning down promotions, and I’m just going to ride out the next 8 years. I’ll be 50, once we get closer to that deadline, I’ll focus on getting the disability I should have from my time in the army, (Iraq fucked me up) once that last payment of slavery is made, I’ll be on a plane and out of the …

I see alimony as reasonable if you provide2 months worth of expenses for the average cost of rent and utilities. Nothing more. That will get them in a place, and able to find work. It’s supposed to be for them to get on their feet after the split not to provide a retirement income. If you can’t find a job in 2 months your not trying. Will it be an ideal job no, but a job yes.

Document with pictures before you leave the house, then video your departure. Video the whole house upon your return. And then take and detail pics upon your return. Not sure what else you can do to help protect you.

I’m sorry to hear this. Just want the worst is yet to come. Brace yourself, you are getting ready to loose 30-40% of your income. It will not get better until the kids are adults and the child support order is removed.

I assume you are dad by your screen name. And that you are in Cali. So I hate to say it good fucking luck. CA courts will never do anything to help you. You will have more luck if you change your gender, and claim that you were the wife through the whole marriage. Seriously though, if you want to reduce your child support the easiest way is to wait until your kids are legal Adults. That’s the only sure fire method. And probably the only one that will show any success in reducing what you pay. We…

Shit man. I’m sorry. I feel your pain. Look I separated from my soon to be ex, and move across the country. I now live in a place where I do not know anyone outside of my co-workers, I have not had a genuine friend in over a year. I haven’t even had so much as an invitation to do Something with someone in almost a year. I go to Work, and home. I make one trip to the store about once every couple weeks. You have your kids, and for that you are blessed. mine have been manipulated by my ex to think…
