Completely agree. I spent ten years working in the Civil Service here in London and frankly things used to work perfectly fine the less a cabinet minister tried to change things. Generally entities the size of western governments are pretty self correcting, it’s only when a cabinet minister wants to make a name for themselves or has a massive shake up that things change and any attempt to to do things quickly simply won’t work and you’ll put everything into a skid. On my first day, my line manag…

I certainly think there’s an element of that, and a non-white woman too. But, certainly here in the U.K., a lot of her campaigning came across very much as though it was her turn, she seemed to believe that women would vote for her as too would non-white Americans. Much like Clinton in 2016 there seemed to be a democrat idea that there was no way they’d vote for him (again) so running a campaign that boiled down “I’m not him” would work. This is understandable for Clinton, but given he’d already…

Don’t get me wrong, Trump is a terrible choice. My point is that twice now The Democrats have run a campaign based on nothing more than “there’s no way they’ll vote for him (again), so we can just put anyone up they’ll win”. Biden won because he was perceived by the voter base (among swing voters, the people you need on your side) as a good competent politician and Harris simply wasn’t, and certainly in the media coverage here in the U.K. she gave an air of it being her turn and she seemed to av…

Yet again a democratic candidate who thought simply turning up, running the boss girl schtick and calling anyone who didn’t agree with her stupid has failed to win. Can’t imagine why this keeps happening. 😏

Rape is defined in England as non consensual penetration of mouth, vagina or anus by the penis. So no a woman (at least anatomically) cannot rape. However there is a charge which carries identical punishment to rape called assault by penetration and applies to either sex. There are also charges of unlawful sexual contact, so whilst a woman cannot legally rape, there are myriad charges available.

And what happens if the kids go to the father and he has to change jobs to support them meaning he no longer earns more so he also struggles to support the kids? We could spend all day running round in circles but it boils down to this, the father should be contributing (at least financially) to the upkeep of his children. If he can offer them a better life then he should get custody.

Obviously we don’t know if she knows himself his location, but the point is a father should be supporting his children and a mother should be getting the financial assistance, at the very least, that is required.

Yes and as I said the father should be paying for his children. This isn't complex.

The initial post is highlighting the idea that she pursue her ex for child support as if its some kind of trap. Agreed theres more to being a father than just giving money but that is the abdolutrleast you should be doing.

Either way he should be supporting his children.

Agreed. Either way the father should be contributing to helping the lives of his own children

The father should be paying child support, he has an obligation to his children.

Maybe, just maybe, she fell in love? I appreciate that notion goes against everything this sub stands for, but hey ho. 😉 Both she and her brother (Drummond Money-Coutts the magician) are nice grounded folks.

Grandmother, sisters, aunts. If you've no positive memories from your experiences with women then you need to look at where the problem is. Is every woman who has ever interacted with you wrong? Unlikely. Maybe take a look at your attitudes and behaviours.
