But I think that the "No Men" policy started back when abuse from the mom was just trying to keep you from being a stupid little shit. But props to your friends for helping you out in your time of need. edit: (for those who haven't read and downvoted already) I don't agree with the policy of not letting any men into these homeless shelters, which isn't all shelters, but the reasoning for it has a good intention, despite the discrimination towards men.
