Dude I've tried therapy for two years. It has helped me get some coping mechanisms, such as lifting weight and doing other things with my life that keep me busy. But therapy won't solve the underlying problem that I probably won't get to experience what other people experience all the time.

I have several girl friends yes. I don't really have problems talking to women, I have problems being attractive to them. My alcoholism is not nearly as bad honestly. I only drink a full bottle once a week, and only when I feel really sad. I mostly do it alone in my room as well. It's a slow suicide yes but I'm losing hope to be honest. If getting shit faced every once in a while helps me get through my studies and other things in my life then so be it.

I didn't start an alcoholic but it's a simple fix to a reality that I cannot change. For just under ten dollars I get to forget the world for a day. Yes I have friends, yes I feel a connection to something greater than myself.

Have you ever experienced that, or are your insecurities preventing you? I got rejected way more times than I can count. Several women told me they specifically don't want to date me because I'm short. Had one girl told me she, "Only dates normal-sized guys." I didn't start being insecure, it just grew on me after a shit ton of bad experiences.
