What are your lift numbers? Squat? Bench? Deadlift? OHP?

Highly doubt considering you don’t understand the concept of high weight low rep schemes

How is it not an achievement? If my overall goal and reason for training is to be stronger, then why wouldn’t I train in a way that helps me attain that goal? You do understand how different rep schemes and weight percentages work right? Also, not every workout has to be to utter failure. If you’re training to failure 24/7 then it’s a sure fire way to eventually hit a plateau and become stagnant

How is that too ambitious? If one simply tries it’s really not a hard goal to achieve

I mean, if I’m having to put up 6-7 sets of 5-6 reps for heavy ass squats @90% of my max, I’m gonna have to take longer breaks inbetween. Not because I’m out of breath, but just to ensure I’m hitting the same heavy weight every time without having to sacrifice technique or weight to accommodate it. If I’m doing accessory work and whatnot, I can easily knock it out quickly but heavy compound movements and intense WOD’s take time to do

How much weight are you’d dealing with on your compounds? When you start hitting heavier numbers and more advanced programming, the shit takes a lot longer. Not to mention if you’re doing added conditioning work on top of your strength work in the same session Also, my gym days normally go past 90 minutes but a portion of that is my warm up/mobility work which is usually 10-20mins and cool down work which is another 10-15ish

Or, bare with me now, maybe people are in actual good shape and have the work capacity to sustain longer workouts You can certainly get a great workout sub 90 minutes, however depending on the training program you’re following, sessions can easily go past 90 minutes I’m curious, how long have you actually been working out or lifting for? What are your numbers?

What does a normal gym day look like for you

People who actually try hard in the gym tend to lift for over an hour Maybe you should try trying more

How are 90 min sessions “way to much”

No. You need consistency, a better diet and better training I’d you had poor results after 3 years, then your diet and regiment were dogshit Taking gear won’t help you if you’re not already dialed into a good regiment and diet.

It’s like telling a fat person to run 2-3 miles a day If your fat, and aren’t used to any exercise, doing too much right out of the gate will cause potential injuries Don’t be naive
