The comment didn't sound as if there was any feeling or need to be against feminism - although there are plenty of good reasons why some might want to be.

Relevant since any mention of men being granted the same right of refusal in the case of female passengers would find women's rights advocates, governments, celebrities, etc. immediately denouncing it as another example of ubiquitous Western misogyny.

No examination required - simply put an end to the current reproductive duplicity - and permit men the same right of refusal granted to women - full stop.

It's curious that reproductive equality is suddenly something to consider. There was little, if any discussion of a man's right to refuse parenthood in the era of R v W. In fact, during that time most women/feminists not only supported, but benefited from legislation that negated a man's reproductive choice/rights.

Legislating men to perform 18+ years of labor is where "bodily autonomy comes in". If a woman chooses to preserve an unwanted pregnancy - that's on her - she's made a decision to undertake that responsibility. She shouldn't have any right force an unwilling sexual partner to participate in her reproductive choices, nor should the state be in the business of enshrining the reproductive rights/choices of its female constituents while negating the reproductive rights/choices of its male constituent…

True, it's not a competition, nor is it complicated. Both parties ought to have the right to refuse parenthood - full stop

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
