no no that's not really what I was getting at. I don't think people have a fear of getting an eating disorder. Except for those who have once had one. So I don't think anyone is stopping themselves from participating in healthy habits due to a fear of getting an ED. I don't know where you got that from. What I am saying is - and maybe I should have included it in the first message - that partaking in healthy habits with the goal of improving ones physical and mental wellbeing, is much healthier …

While skin care, gym and a better diet are good things. I would argue it is unhealthy for the mind to participate in them only to improve appearance. That can sooo easily lead to eating disorders which then in the end often becomes unhealthy for the body aswell. This applies to all genders.

My past relationship would have been much better if I had more confidence in myself to speak my mind. I was hurt a lot and instead of having honest conversations I had a tendency to bottle it up in hopes of it just going away. In the end it led to a build up of resentment. I think my partner also had this issue, but after the breakup I felt guilt about not being able to break through it and "save" us. After our breakup I promised myself that I would never do shy away from hard conversations agai…

I meant that addictions as a whole (porn/drug/gambling etc.) are different than just hedonism. I don't think hedonistic behaviours are addictions. There is probably some overlap especially with people that have a tendency for addictions. By safe sex I meant safe as in using protection to avoid unwanted pregnancies and STDs. Yea people can lie and harm you. That is true in most situations where you are dealing with other people. Also, never claimed to be talking about casual sex with strangers. Y…

The apps are just not worth having to read all the vile sexual remarks STRANGERS send me on there. Yes not everyone is like that and they can be reported but I would rather avoid having to go through the harrassment.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 05:24 PM

Well then hedonistic behavior and being a slave to your own pleasures isn't really the right description. If it were the correct one then it would apply to the case of participating in sexual behaviour by oneself. But somehow that is not commonly frowned upon. I would also like to know why do you think that having sex signifies self control? What about it is so bad, that people should practice self control (as long as it is consensual and safe)? I think addictions are a whole other thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 05:12 PM

Plan a project where we build something as a team. This one is soooo good! I love assembling furniture with a partner

you can still be a hedonistic and a slave to your own pleasures without having someone else participate in your hedonism. In fact i think many guys actually find the idea of a woman pleasing herself erotic instead of repulsive. The reason why women feel a certain type of way about fuckboys is because often their actions include some type of deceit.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 04:43 PM

I think thats well put. Thanks for your insight and for taking the time to explain that side to me so thoroughly!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 04:48 PM

Okay okay sorry I completely misunderstood the first comment I replied to lol. Also interesting to hear that it has such emotional effects. I often hear red pill people say that to men sex isnt that emotional or they don't bond during it the same way women do etc. But your description sounds quite opposite and wayyyy more sensible. Do you think it is tied to something physiological or is the sex-loved connection formed by social pressures etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 04:22 PM

Ah yea okay I get what you mean now. So what I got from your examples is that in the second scenario to me it sounds like the wife doesn't want to have sex even as like a thought. Or atleast not as much. So yeah I do agree that high libido and low libido people are at face value probably not a good match although for sure there are some people who can make it work. I think it's a bit difficult for women to know that few years in the future their libido will be very low, if at the beginning of th…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 04:17 PM

Ooohh I think I get what you mean now. So in your original comment which I replied to, the example in the last paragraph was meant to be the womens equivalent of what it is like for men to get sex only during one week of the month?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 03:56 PM

With one of my ex-partners I was the one desiring more sex, and yeah it made me pretty anxious. However even when I was desiring the other person and they didn't desire me I just let it be. It took a bit of time to accept that it didn't mean they didnt love me or care for me. Just that they did not want to have sex at the time. So I never went through this jumping of hoops thing, since if they said no I was ok with it. But maybe this is a bit different since they never asked me to try to get the…

I'm going to be affectionate, loving, and sweet to you I don't think being affectionate, loving and sweet has anything to do with how horny someone is. I'm affectionate and loving towards my friends too and I'm not sexually attracted to them
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 10:03 AM

so sorry that happened to you :(
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 09:56 AM

It's weird because you wouldn't think men would have such vulnerable & emotional thoughts behind sexual intimacy, I think thats a reasonable response and totally understandable. This happened with one of my ex-boyfriends but with the roles reversed. He said he was stressed and I let him be. Never communicated if it was actually something I did or that had changed within the relationship, even though I asked. I was pretty anxious back then.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 09:49 AM

Im pretty sure you'll notice if someone doesn't have eyebrows :D It makes me look a bit like a cave creature but I like it. Europeans often seem far more chill about sex and indeed public nudity not being a taboo seems to be an important factor here. That is true, I'm from the EU and from a very nudity positive country. Harrasment here is a lot more rare than I imagine in the US, but it still wont stop some people from being pushy with their desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 09:43 AM

the man eventually just becomes a utilitarian entity to them - a landscaper, a chef, a butler, a maid, a contractor, car detailer, a chauffer, and eventual co-parent. Hey man, this is not a normal relationship. Most relationships are not like this. I'm sure some are, but I'm also pretty sure it's not the majority. The sexual desire that is seemingly front & center only to disappear after a number of years where he now has to get you in the mood every single time just to show the smallest amount …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 09:17 AM

Sometimes it's just the stupidest things imaginable and explaining it to you will probably confuse the hell out of you because you personally would never randomly think of stupid things like that (things like "If I was somehow trapped in a room with a kangaroo, could I take it? How big do they get? Like deer-sized?" just inane nonsense). I think this is a universal thing and not gendered.

Yeah it's not really constructive. I do think the dogpiling is mostly in online spaces. I think in both men and women only a very small percentage of people are actually willing or capable of saying hurtful shit irl.

I bleach my eyebrows in hopes that it would deter some and also as a style choice but I dont know if it counts. I don't deliberately try to look bad, since I also wish to express myself in clothing etc. I don't wear makeup, or style my hair and I mostly wear loose clothing. But that is only due to my own preferences (i think?)

:( That sounds quite sad. So we apply that to women, who have a different idea of what self-worth looks like and thus this disconnect is born. I think overall in life a disconnect is often born when people can't accept what they don't understand. I will never relate to what you just explained and thus in a way won't truly get. So I think accepting that that is what each other go through despite not completely getting it or why it feels shitty, is the only way to sort of really form any understan…

For both, respect. If you truly respect someone, solving whatever problems that inevitably rise will be a lot more easier. Learning to love each other will be a lot more easier too. With respect comes effort to communicate properly and to work on the relationship, trust for eachother and the ability of accepting the way the other person works, even if you don't completely understand or relate to it.

I think a lot of women are taught to be somewhat people pleasers. A part of that is reading into micro expressions etc. I used to have this issue too where if someone looked 70% happy I would start stressing about why they arent 100% happy. Luckily got over that, it was exhausting.

Hey man, I don't think most women take pictures just for social media. Like I said in a comment, I personally take pictures to look back at at the end of the year to remind myself of all the fun times I've had and cool things I've seen. Sure some people are into the social media game, but for example the vast majority of women in my life post on social media like 1-2 times a year. This might also be an age/culture thing

Hmm.. Any idea why? I have a lot taken by/with friends during different events as well as some I take of myself just for fun. Especially with events/activities its fun to look at the photos after months or years. But yeah maybe this isn't as common with men.

The technicality : "Smith argues that there was insufficient evidence to support her conviction because there is a legally significant distinction between engaging in sexual conduct with another and causing another to engage in sexual conduct. But you are assuming these 20 people were all rejecting due to not being attracted? Maybe there were other reasons? Maybe they like someone else already, maybe they don't like men at all, maybe they aren't single, maybe they just broke up and just want to grieve their past relationship etc. (This is all assuming that what you are talking about is not on a dating app)

For example the Ohio Supreme Court one, it is the courts interpretation of the law in this one case. There are many rape cases where men don't get charged on weird technicalities or just the courts interpretation. Also, the technicality that this case got caught on doesn't specify any gender requirements. You could reverse the genders of people involved in this case and the same technicality would still stand. I do think it could be linked to discrimination of male rape victims, but not by law o…

Okay yeah I get that. But I also think whenever the feelings fade you sort of realize that oh okay they weren't all that I made them up to be. And so I don't think it would leave a strong enough impression on people that if they specifically thought that "okay I want to have great sex today", that they would then think "I need to find a rich partner for that". Maybe some do but I think thats a small minority. But I do think that there are some women who are impressed by people with higher status…

Hey I totally get your viewpoint on this. What im going to write is not to try to counter your experience or points but more to just add on it. I have had this issue with previous partners awell. After going through these things with people I figured that hell, instead of trying to speak to them with acts of love that *I* understand as love, I should do things that they understand as love. Hmmm. I think it probably has a lot to do with how the topic is brought up etc. Maybe if the other person feels like the guy is trying to hide using shoe lifts or a toupee it would be kind of weird and offputting. I have no problem with toupees but somehow when thinking about shoe lifts I do feel some type of way. Maybe it's the fact that it sort of speaks of having insecurities about height but then again a toupee would speak of having insecurities about hair/balding but I feel totally indiffer…

There are some obvious limits to it but a lot of women do contouring for a slimmer nose, more prominent cheekbones etc. There are probably tutorials on youtube on how to contour for more "masculine" looks

Men can wear wigs and toupees aswell! and they usually look really good! Edit: also, contouring is faking a facial structure, and that can be done with makeup

How does it fuck up relationship dynamics later in life?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/25 04:28 PM

no, because I don't think that the pontential of future suffering should be a reason to cause suffering in the present. There's probably some nuance to where the line of suffering is drawn.

First of all you might see a couple and think they are in different leagues, but that is your subjective view, and theirs are different. So this "playing the field with top men before settling down with their match" is not really something that CAN objectively be true. This would probably on be worth thinking about if there were a significant amount of people dating people they dont want to date, but I think thats pretty rare. Secondly, do you think it is wrong to date someone, then during datin…

just because some other people have dehumanizing views on women doesn't make it okay. wtf man. Have u considered that perhaps overweight women have in general nicer personalities and see men as people rather than just their genitals and thats why they are in relationships.

Men are more desperate for sex and relationships than women and are willing to settle for any woman because pussy is pussy. What a dehumanizing take. Do you think men are in relationships because "pussy is pussy"? Somehow I don't think your weight is the problem I think its the way you see women.

Then perhaps you should ask about experiences with women in subreddits where topics are not toxic views on dating or failed relationships/marriages. Right now you are targeting an audience of people with some type of grievances regarding relationships. Broaden your scope man
/r/ExRedPill18/11/25 02:10 PM

Think about the audience who you are asking this question to. Don't you think that the "truthness" of the answers you receive will be skewed if you ask *divorced dads or people influenced with redpill ideologies* if they feel disappointed or wronged by women? I suspect for some reason you want people to affirm to you that yes all women are like this, so you can blame women as a collective, rather than process what happened within your own relationship and why it failed. Hey, read what you've typed and imagine this is what your friend has written to you. This is not healthy. Please seek help and start living life for yourself and not for someone else. You're worthy of that. You should be with someone who loves you for who you are, not what they can make you become. Love begins with mutual respect. If there's no mutual respect, what you have is something different.

So YOU had an idea of the world where men without money dont amount to anything so YOU decided not to pursue. Did you even ask what the woman thought? Stop pushing your own negative view of things onto other people! Most likely they dont think the same way and you end up doing this self fulfilling prophecy shit by assuming and projecting.

With my current partner I have learned that there can't really be love without respect. I respect him, his opinions, his experiences, his boundaries and he does the same for me. I have never felt this type of respect and love with anyone else. We treat each other with kindness, trust and respect and I think it's the most important thing for a relationship. Okay yeah I actually did miss the full questionnaire of the commitment imbalance lol my bad i just quickly ctrl f'd through it to see where it was mentioned. The questions are somewhat regarding emotional commitment, but I think it doesn't really reflect commitment imbalance. So you're afraid of aging as a woman? Since when are all older women karens? The only people stressing about women aging are red pilled people who think women arent fertile after 30 (which is not true) and after that they are useless to society. "This variable, termed 'imbalance of commitment', had a normal distribution with a larger mean for women than for men. Positive values carry a mixed message: (1) I feel drawn to my partner; (2) my partner withdraws from me." This is a super vague way of assessing relationship dynamics. I think this is one of the worst questions in a questionnaire I have ever seen. Poor definition of relationship commitment. "The paper did sort of test for proxies for gender norms. Nothing will be changed by worrying about this. The world will still be the same the next day no matter if you get a response or not. I guess there's no correct time frame to ask someone for a date. Buuut you should also try to get to know the person a little to make sure you actually want to take them out on a date not just for the sake of a date. "neither habituation, routine, commitment imbalance, nor gender norms can explain it." These variables were not studied in this paper. They are mentioned in discussion linked only to theories. The author of the paper never states that these variables cannot explain it. Discussion tl;dr is that these variables have not been extensively studied in relation to sexual behavior and they may or may not affect the results. But since they have NOT been studied they cannot claim that they do.

Agree with other commenters saying that this is nothing to worry about at your age. Also you've already managed to secure 4 dates what makes you think you can't get any more? You've already done it 4 times you can surely do it again. And don't settle for someone who you don't like!! It will be a disaster in the long run. From personal experience no matter how good sex is I am sometimes incapable of controlling my thoughts and sometimes focusing on the present is not easy. Especially if stressed or tired. I think the bad-boy trope is something that gets pushed on to young women and men very strongly. For example most teen shows have this trope at some point, books, music videos, songs etc. keep romanticising it, so it is no wonder that young people feel the need to partake in it in some way. I have personally always felt that it is rooted more in rebellion than it is in the actual attraction towards "bad boys". I dont think this is good advice. Different women have innately different libidos. Someone with inherently low libido wont suddenly become highly sexual even if the guy she is dating is the most attractive she has ever seen.
