You claim that people don’t go walking around with these prejudices, etc. you claim men are not taught their value is directly determined by relationship status. These two things are false. You lack empathy because you’re incapable of stepping in someone else’s shoes. I frequently talk with people outside of my circles. The world is doom and gloom, you just got lucky. I’ll gladly be hostile towards people that deny reality.

I second this. Anytime I was angry, ironically my family would BLOW UP at me. They absolutely shut that shit down. Then when I (obviously) had anger problems as a result, people flat out believed it was actively dangerous, even tho I NEVER did anything violent. I’m pretty sure “men are only allowed to be angry” is, at best, not applicable to the west these days, at worst a straight up fabrication.

That is not at all what my experience was. And from tons of men I’ve talked too, they corroborate my claim. I care what feminists think because 1. They’re the only ones that seem to care but 2. They have recently been pretty fucking counterproductive. You’re just wrong. The issue with you is you can’t see that a patently true occurrence is true. Sure your experience exists, never denied that. It is not remotely normative. Congrats on getting lucky. Learn some empathy.

Okay I mostly agree with this. I think the reason I’m particular about this stuff is because like… basically EVERYTHING tells men that their dating life is a big piece of their value and that if they aren’t dating they have failed. And I have found this pattern is pernicious. Hell I can credit soooooo many left wing and progressive sources with how that mentality was branded into me. I still regularly get into arguments with feminists that are defending that norm. So there’s all of this, then I …

Considering friends consistently say that I am those things, wonder how women don’t want to get closer, etc… I know that image is correct and visible. Imo we do redpillers a disservice by acting like “what you are determines your relationship status and it all determines your value” Which yes, the current normative opinion of “if you can’t get dates you must be awful” enforces that value = relationship. It’s a game of chance. There are things to slightly change those odds but we’re talking 1% to…

That’s just wrong lol. Once again, I’m fit and active. I know plenty of other men that are too. The men getting angry over less attractive women are an insane subset. That’s not what I’m talking about. I think you listen to these podcasts more than me xD not hard considering I don’t listen to them but they sure do live rent free in your head. Cool that your dynamic is not what the redpill claims. I am curious tho if my original comment applies… cause that would be funny getting an essay from a r…

While I totally get this and tbh this describes most redpillers, I know for me with my in and out of it, I know what I bring to the table. I communicate that. I’m open honest and vulnerable, but also strong, resilient, thoughtful, etc. like I know I’m good. But it is jarring because I go out and, being good is not enough unless I date WAY below what I even consider acceptable. Like I’m a fit, active, smart, thoughtful interesting guy with fine looks, yet it seems the only women attracted to that…

I’m sorry but I don’t buy that women are less concerned with physical looks than men. All the time I hear the statement “you see hot women with ugly men all the time” But when I look around and observe, that’s exceptionally rare. Then I remember stats that women rate most men as unattractive and it makes more sense. There’s a skew in perception. Women do care for looks, but they don’t believe they are.

I mean… I’m black and white when it is true lol. Like… tradcons just have a perspective on the world that I fundamentally disagree with, and honestly breaks the social contract. They’re a minority tho so, it’s mostly bark. As far as feminists, there is genuine nuance there because it’s an actual diverse political arm. Some feminists absolutely know what they’re doing. Some don’t. My goal is to help the second
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/06/24 10:28 PM

Precisely. It’s very clearly a belief that those things are bad, and worthy of scorn.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/06/24 09:58 PM

This. I am so critical of feminists and women not bc I uniquely hate them. Hell, I think tradcons are legit ghouls that should have no say in governance. But tradcons know they are hateful ghouls. That debate is settled I am so critical of feminists and women because they perpetuate patriarchal systems while completely unaware of it. My criticism is to being awareness to problems that are still under debate.

Yeah, I’ve noticed this rhetoric a ton with how feminists tackle men’s issues, particularly incels. They say “we aren’t insulting them bc they are virgins, but because they’re misogynists” but really… that isn’t true because they specifically target their virginity, not their misogyny. Additionally they’ll just say they should be gay.

Basically the same thing. Therapy taught me self respect, boundaries, and reciprocity. Lots of women don’t like men that know about those things haha.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/06/24 06:17 PM

Honestly I’ve learned therapy has made me MORE disagreeable with women because now I actually have boundaries and self respect.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/06/24 04:07 PM

And other people have posted articles on it, which is also in the thread I shared. This would qualify mostly under low-medium risk. Maybe actually look at the topic more if you want to speak more on it
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 07:15 PM

There will never be a shelter that isn’t near vulnerable populations. What’s more dangerous, keeping the homeless addicts on the street or given them temporary housing to get them help?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 07:06 PM

“As needed” No. Work to mitigate the risk, not completely bust the project. What is so hard to understand that removing a shelter for men only increases risk, bc when you help them get odd the street you can consolidate and manage the risk! It’s literally better for the community! Why do you act like said shelter is a high risk shelter? Nothing indicates its goal was for high risk people! Standard suburbs are near schools, and families, and any number of vulnerable people.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 07:04 PM

You’re literally defending the original post. This is new York! There’s only so many other places xD all probably near schools!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:56 PM

You did by actively wanting to remove places to house them. They are in that community on the streets. This housing helps reduce the number on the streets . Considering every residential area is near schools, and you keep acting like there’s a difference between your community and this school, you’re likely lying/wrong about either community.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:52 PM

🤷‍♂️ I’m not the one defending the removal of help for men that need it based on stereotypes. If that makes my head up my ass then good. I’ll gladly defend people that need help.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:47 PM

Lmao didn’t know actively calling them on their incorrect and stupid arguments is backpedaling.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:46 PM
1

What the fuck are you even crowing about xD didn’t know wanting to help homeless men is Marxism xD
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:45 PM

Why are you so hard pressed to have addicts and mentally ill next to a school on the streets? Every residential area is near vulnerable people. Period. It’s absurd to pretend otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:44 PM

Oh yeah o purposefully removed context by not and actively calling it out for its issues. And I want to call them out because redpillers see this for what it is. Sexism hiding behind lies.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:43 PM

Making consequential decisions based on a generality to prevent help for all is pushing stereotypes. At some point we have to cope with the discomfort of actually helping those who need it most. Her second line was virtue signaling. “I care so much about homeless men, just not where I can see it” There will ALWAYS be a vulnerable population nearby. This community ALREADY IS VULNERABLE bc of the homeless people already within it. The only place that doesn’t have such people are industrial sites a…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:42 PM

Then you’re so stupid lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:36 PM

You’re just wrong 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:35 PM

There is not one single residential area that doesn’t have a school nearby.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:35 PM

I will continue to downvote lol. This is a problem of emotionality and logic, ignoring one doesn’t do it justice
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:34 PM

Yes I have. I don’t care bc y’all 1. Overrepresent the danger 2. The danger is OUT IN THE WORLD so these places don’t actually make danger worse, they improve it and move it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:33 PM

You are objectively wrong and your doubling down is disqualifying. We’re done
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:32 PM
1

Yeah, and that’s a problem. You’re not saying anything new, just defending a shitty mentality.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:25 PM

Bevause HELPING people in NEED is a good thing and reduces negative interactions between homeless and children. That community already has homeless drug addicts, now this provides a way for them to not be in the street posing a risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:25 PM

Newsflash, homeless people are there either way! This provides a place for them to NOT bother children.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:23 PM

Homelessness is a permanent problem either way. This Atleast provides a means to help and get people out.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:22 PM

Both studies look at violence and drug use given homelessness and actively encourage means of combating it. That’s just a fact that you’re ignoring. Dude, progress isn’t made by flipping a magic switch to make all people housed. That can happen but is currently political infeasible. Any progress is progress. Also say this is permanent housing for homeless people… I would bet you would still be defending the removal of this. Guess what? Homeless people are in your community, and ignoring them or …
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:20 PM

It is temporary housing to get people permanent housing. It’s literally helping reduce homelessness. This would not evaporate housing prices, especially if they have been paying off a house for decades, given the current housing boom.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:15 PM

I mean this just asserts my point xD these people want the virtue of allegedly being pro mental health etc etc but buck when it comes to their community bc of superficial, mitigateable problems. Plus if there’s already homeless in the community (likely) then this only helps them reduce risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:06 PM

This is literally just pushing stereotypes with defeatism. The danger is mitigateable, and the housing alone helps in that. And such mental health and housing services need to be put somewhere! Want to put it in the industrial zone? Yeah let’s just redline the homeless bc you perceive them as an active constant danger.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:04 PM

So improved mental health and housing services is only good when it’s out of sight out of mind? These services have to built somewhere, and they will have mitigateable proximate effects.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:02 PM

This is literally a first line step to permanent housing solutions. Are you really acting like if these were permanent homes there wouldn’t be an outrage?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 06:00 PM

Is it illegal for a temporary shelter to have social workers and security? Lmao no. Temporary shelter is a temporary home. Evidence routinely shows that homes reduce crime another
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:58 PM

Yes, that literally ticks two of their boxes for things they claim they want. Is the issue really that it is “near a school”? That’s an easily mitigated problem that does not justify the removal of multiple stories worth of temporary housing to help homeless people
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:44 PM

Why? With sufficient management they won’t be a problem. And drug addicts and homeless people are more dangerous roaming than actually receiving care
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:41 PM

We actually know how to love people for who they are
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:26 PM

Meanwhile the example given is of textbook stigma and judgement.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 10:48 PM

I never said allowed. And you and I both know the context of their “allowed” is in reference to stigma, not law
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:08 PM
1

Well that’s not what the op was discussing so 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 07:19 PM

Just because there’s a stigma against women having preferences doesn’t mean there is the same towards men. Sure some amount of men are being selfish. Others are not. None of it changes the fact that there is a stigma against men having preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 06:57 PM
1

And what I’m saying is that it’s a large enough amount of women that it clearly is some degree of societal backlash, and in fact you paint a clear mechanism. People don’t like preferences because they believe it excludes them. Plus I’ve seen so many fucking cases of men being dog piled on for stating preferences that like, no shit stigma against men’s preferences is real.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 02:53 PM

And? That literally proves my point xD “wah he expressed a preference over a superficial thing I’m going to take it personally and treat him differently”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 02:21 PM
-1

I Wasn’t referring to weight preference. One time it was mundane hair color preference when I was specifically asked while talking with a bunch of people. Simply said “I prefer brown hair” and then after that the girls started treating me differently
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 01:40 AM
1

I think as a general, maybe, but I find women are very forgiving of straight up toxicity, but not for mundane things. I don’t understand remotely why
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 01:37 AM
3

Not banned (yet) but had a comment deleted from menslib bc I was “generalizing” when I said “there are radical feminists that make men their sole enemy, much like MRAs make women their sole enemy” I think a lot of is 1. Genuine fragility but I think for male feminists it’s 2. Not wanting to entertain toxicity. Which I totally get, hell I see it in this sub and wonder about it. But it comes at the cost of genuine growth. Generalizations can help build heuristics which actually benefit peoples liv…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 01:05 AM
2

Because every time I’ve expressed a preference some woman, even those I care for, feel a need to judge my preference and treat me differently as a result. And if it’s only it’s worse
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 12:42 AM
