Trying getting an mailbox in your name only. Apply for credit cards to pay your lawyer's retainer in your name only. You may explore a personal loan instead of a credit card. Set up a separate bank account and put that personal loan money away.

it is possible that your kids will respect you for standing up for yourself and showing them how to advocate for yourself even when you are scared.

What about assets do you not disclose? Don’t they look at your tax records and know what you both own?

Hi my wife experienced a mental breakdown and a ramp up in her alcoholism after the death of her mother. Nothing was the same after that. She has been battling addictions ever since. We are still together but it doesn’t look like it can last. Take care my friend. You just have to let them go through their shit. You can’t fix them.

Alcoholism in women is on the rise. You are 100% doing the right thing. I would suggest checking out r/alanon for additional support. Alcoholism is no joke and can really screw you and your daughter up. Alcoholism is a family disease and it can be exhausting and depressing to live with an alcoholic. The advice will be similar to advice here. You didn’t cause the drinking, you can’t cure her drinking and you cannot control her drinking. You have to detach and out your daughter, yourself and your …

Came here to say this, some other guy spending money on your kids for you. GREAT! He will never have the same relationship with them as you do with them. Tell them to spend his money and get you a souveneir.

If you are in doubt that you deserve to earn more, check out the subject of under earning. It’s a thing. Debtors Anonymous helped me to value myself and get out of debt by retraining my self to earn more money and stop debting. I built myself back up from bankruptcy and I was in you same shoes. I didn’t have a car. No job. Literally no cash. You can do this.

Age is a number and beauty fleeting. I am 57, bald, and have no game. BUT I am making money, taking care of myself AND my responsibilities, doing inner work and doing creative gigs on the side. I get approached all the time. When I want to get laid, I’ll be able to get laid. So will you. Work on yourself and put her in the back of your mind. If you take care of yourself first, the rest will follow. Oh and don’t ever tell yourself something is out of your league. Tell yourself you are worth it.

I’m not sure if you have heard of Al Anon but Al Anon offers experience, strength and hope for families struggling with the effects of an alcoholic. Check out r/alanon.

That's what I came here to say. Read "Codependent No More" It's mostly for spouses or adult children of alcoholics but I found it help me in dealing with my issues.

My opinion is that the 5x sex benefit outweighs the other annoyance of an argument every 3 months. How much would it cost for a good looking hooker 5x/week? I think that the hassle to find a new good lay after divorce plus the cost of alimony or settlement would outweigh the argument once every 3 months plus 5x/week of sex. I think 5x/week of sex trumps all other items. IMO, you sound a bit bored. Maybe you need, not a hobby, but something where you give back to to those less fortunate. That cou…

Thanks brother. I will get all my ducks in a row. Right now, she is so drunk that she just lays in bed all day. She can’t answer the phone let alone mount a legal defense. I will use this time to get everything in order.
