Attraction has a lot to do with what our species sees as healthy breeding stock. Sorry if that sounds insensitive. If old people were supposed to reproduce, we'd go through puberty at 65.

My biggest experiences with sexism happened as I was brought up through public school. The stigmas about how both men and boys should present socially has mostly to due with the opinions and demands of their female colleagues. I am composing this as a blanket statement on purpose, because that's how broad the bigotry is.

She's not necessarily wrong about some of those points, but her anger stems from the willful ignorance to accept societal truths, this one in particular: Statistically, women are not as operationally successful as men at incidential tasks. Coordinated tasks have also been occasionally observed with a deficit due to a lack of leadership.

Since your question is phrased "protect yourself" I would like to suggest abstaining from drinking to excess. Rule number 1 of protecting yourself is actively making choices to avoid dangerous situations.

Common sense would be doing as the Romans do when in Rome. We're the parents audibly displeased at the shirt? How about your spouse-to-be? What is their opinion of the situation? I was born in 1989. What year were you born?

That's obviously not a rule your fiance's family observes during the holidays. Funny thing about rules: they change depending who's property you're on.

You don't have to say anything her, and you shouldn't. If you think that you do because of your convictions, then you need therapy. Sticks and stones my break my bones, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

As an aspiring patriarch of your own family, it is your responsibility to be socially dependable for those that look up to you and rely on you. Alternatively, you embraced cowardice instead of displaying emotional fortitude. Part of being strong is practicing tolerance. It shouldn't have even put a chink in your armor unless you were personally planning to impregnate their sister with the inappropriate shirt in question. O_o

Executing an Irish goodbye because some lady's shirt (who isn't even related to you) offended you is beta chad behavior. Now you're putting unnecessary strain on 1. Your fiances relationship with their sister. 2. Their relationship with their family 3. Their family's relationship with you: all of which need to be healthy and functioning if you want a happy life with this person. A true Kang 👑 would have shown some grace and composure for the duration of the meal. These are some of the most overl…
