Man, I really sympathize with a lot of you 20-year-olds. I’m 43 now, but I was lucky enough that when I was in my 20s, people were still dating like crazy, meeting each other at bars and clubs, hooking up, casually dating, getting into relationships, or just having fun. It really was a fun time. I’m still single now, and focused on my career, but I have definitely seen the change of the dating landscape over the past 10 years. Just like one poster said before, everybody wants a relationship righ…

My co-worker was 28 before she realized it wasn’t pronounced “fox pass.”

I definitely see the value in trying to date IRL more than dating apps. From my experience, I’m getting around 1.5 dates from women I’m meeting on tinder, but around 2.5-3 dates with women I’m met outside of tinder. I feel like women on Tinder make judgements on men a lot faster than women who don’t use any dating apps. I’ve had female friends who use dating app admit that it’s too easy to just find one little things that’s not perfect about a guy and just move on to the next one.

Feels pretty accurate from my experiences. I’ve been on dates with about 50 women in the past 2.5 years mostly met through tinder. Granted I’ve met a lot of cool women, became god friends with 5 of them, and slept with a handful of them. But it never seems to develop into anything more than that mainly for the reasons you’ve mentioned. I have women friends who have admitted that with the amount of men they match with on Tinder it makes it difficult for them to “commit to one” in a sense. Even wh…

Interesting perspective. I would have to agree.

Guess it depends on how tall you are. I'm 5'8" and if she was cool with it, so am I.

Another advantage of going out solo is your don't have anybody judging you. You can just feel free to talk to anybody. Like others said, to improve your overall social skills. I've got a friend who I go out with sometimes that refuses to talk to anybody under an 8. So depending where we end up, he may feel there isn't anybody worth talking to. And he doesn't like talking just to talk. I generally don't care what he thinks, but not having him there, knowing he is probably judging me for the 7 or …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
