I didn't read the title at first and was ready to throw hands when reading the first part of that reply

Ah, sorry, I was unclear - both dates were with me. He picked up the bill on our previous date.

Funny story, I actually had a LVX who insisted that I had to pay for all the furniture and home decor because he didn't care if we had any of it, it was me that wanted it. As if it was acceptable to eat off of paper plates while sitting on the floor and staring at a blank wall. He didn't even have any other options though, he just wanted to spend his money on his own hobbies. In my experience, LVM spend selfishly whether other women are involved or not - they only care about how to benefit thems…

This one hit hard. I still have issues with accepting non-sexual affection because my LV ex only gave affection when he wanted sex, so now that's what I associate it with, and I feel like i have to keep some distance if I'm not immediately in the mood.

My LV roommate got angry and punched a hole in the wall of the bathroom at his work. He told this to me laughing about it, almost bragging. I responded with "so destruction of property is your idea of a coping mechanism?" He laughed it off, but I definitely wasn't joking. Random violence is his idea of a normal reaction to minor issues. I'd hate to see him in a relationship.

A HVM who really embraces traditional, respectful masculine roles will SHOW it, not tell. He'll show it by opening doors for us, paying for meals, making sure we get home safe, etc - he doesn't need to remind everyone he's traditional.

My ex promised me a ring, didn't get one for a year, and expected me to pay for half of it. This sub has helped me realize how much better off I am without him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
