Never mind that most of the countries/groups the US is at war with right now treat women horrendously. Just have them examined based on genitalia, put a notice if the genitalia is surgically altered, and have a specialist on staff for HRT. I don't think this is so prevalent to require a complete rehaul or anything. The genitalia check is part is last. If you are changing what they have to accept then the will be a whole rehaul at MEPs. Never mind that most of the countries/groups the US is at war with right now treat women horrendously. MEPS (medical screening) would have to chnage significantly. It is seperated by sex. They poke your gentials. Females get pregnancy tests and their screening takes longer. Trans would force a change in the medical forms and testing. Trans don't have the sexual organs that match their gender. Would they be a separate category at MEPS or combined with the gender they are? MEPS takes hours to complete and isn't fun. They would have change medical screening completely. Not everyone can join the military despite how useful they could be. Certain branches are stricter than others. Technically trans could be medically disqualifying. Don't a lot of trans deal with self harm or depression more compared to the general population? They get to do female physical fitness test and room with female military personnel? Don't trans have to take hormone for the rest of their lives?
