This is exactly what men want. What an absolutely perfect analogy. I’ll remember this

Also sons are much more likely to abuse their elderly mothers physically and sexually. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/sons-five-times-more-likely-to-abuse-elderly-parents-study-finds-1.4129793

That’s because they know what they say is not actually a joke, so they would take our jokes to be as honest as theirs are.

Because if THEY think it’s hot, of course you will too. It’s the verbal equivalent of a dick pic

At least. More like six in my opinion. Which is extra interesting given the fact that they only went public four months ago

I have an ex who found a way of lying using the truth. He was actually very proud of never “lying,” he just managed to make people think untrue things. It’s called “paltering” and it makes me outrageously angry

My two adult daughters and granddaughter and I are doing a pretty great version of a happy household now. Only one daughter is even dating rn. We don’t have men over (helps that we have almost no male relatives). We call it our “girl house.” Even all of our pets are female. It’s such a low-anxiety, mutually supportive environment.

This is a HUUUUUGE pet peeve of mine. Being single and a dad DOES NOT make you a “single dad.” Another thought, if “single moms” are so reviled, why are men so eager to unethically pirate the term for themselves???

I kept my married name after my divorce. It’s a great name, and the best thing he ever did for me besides our daughter. Also, I spent most of my adult life with that name, and all my higher education and professional achievements are under that name. Edit: annoying the shit out of him by keeping it was just a bonus 😅

Omg just today I noticed a dudebro with a giant damn American flag flying on his tailgate. I started laughing about it and he caught my eye and nodded like he thought I was into it/him

Snoring was the last straw for me in my last relationship. He refused to do anything about it or try any of the remedies I suggested. It was months and months of horrific sleep deprivation. Finally, I said every time HE falls asleep, I’d wake him up banging pots and pans in his ear. Took him less than an hour to completely lose his shit. Hm, broken sleep sucks don’t it. We broke up very shortly afterwards when it finally clicked for me that he didn’t care about my most basic needs.

Don’t tell him!!! Then he’ll hide those books from the next woman. You’d just be helping him lie better.

Hi, English Composition and Grammar professor here! Grading and correcting students’ work is the worst part of my life and I’m not doing it for free, like, ever. Yet as soon as someone finds out what I do, they assume I live for rewriting their speeches, business proposals, and even goddamned emails. And yes, OLD is a screaming nightmare.

Does it bother anyone else that he’s calling himself a “single father”? Because that implies that he has the care and custody of these children, not that he’s single AND a father.

My ex genuinely believes he’s a good looking man, and that he looks the same amount of attractive no matter what he wears, whether he bathes or shaves, what angle he takes a picture. Obviously he’s wrong. It was impossible to get him to dress up for an evening out because he literally thought he couldn’t possibly look any better

I dated a man who never discussed his political beliefs. Just said he really didn’t care. It wasn’t until I overheard him talking to another man that I realized how extremely conservative/misogynistic his beliefs were. I was aghast. Of course we broke up very shortly after

Be sure to check food banks and apply for food stamps and cash assistance from the state too. They’re more lenient on the requirements with the pandemic on rn

That’s good- smart. Puts you miles ahead of where I was; thinking that if you were really about this relationship you wouldn’t have “fuck off” money. That is, money you can use to fuck off if you need to. I’ll always have “fuck off” money from here on. Even as a single person, I have enough saved for at least a months expenses in case of emergency

My wallpaper says, “He’s not giving you what you want because he’s not afraid to lose you.” That simple revelation gave me to motivation I needed to leave my ex.

When I finally got a woman obgyn, I had been unsuccessfully trying to get a hysterectomy for ten years. Even after my tubal, my male obs wouldn't do a hysterectomy because I was "too young" even at 37! My new lady ob scheduled it after our first appointment, no questions.

Yeah, I saw an article where they kept saying how they were always told they look like sisters. Let me tell you what, men tell MY daughter and I that too, and you can be damn sure we look like mother and daughter. And they said it to me and my mother years ago. For some reason, men think it's flattering to one or the other of us and that we're stupid enough to be flattered. It's just very uncomfortable all the way around.

And she's pretty obviously had a lot of work done
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/20 05:29 PM

yep. Most men think they're WAY more attractive than they are. For one to admit to only "decent looking" he must be really ugly

Yes! I've been wanting to leave my bf for such a long time but I was eating myself up about "leaving him in the lurch," because I pay for everything. Everything. He won't work or pay bills, no matter how much I beg or tell him it's impacting my respect for him. If I leave him, he won't have anything! I provide his food, shelter, transportation, beer, smokes, access to family, everything! He won't have any of that without me! How could I just snatch his whole life away from him? What the fuck was…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/20 01:33 PM

My ex too! He swore up and down and sideways that he was a 50/50 contributor because he occasionally paid for a pizza or gave me $100 "towards bills." MF, those bills are like 20 times what you gave me!

"Situationship"! OMG thank you for this word. It's exactly right for my .... well, situation. I'm in the process of extricating myself and what we had doesn't deserve to be called a relationship.

MaYbe hE hAS dePrESsiOn. Jesus, I got this all the time when I complained about my ex not working, bathing, or being generally tolerable. Guess what, I have depression too, and I manage it. As if HIS depression entitles him to special concessions.
