Should I consider seeing a specialist instead of waiting? I would as most family doctors/internal medicine doctors don't know shit about optimizing hormones. There are many clinics out there that can help. I use Defy Medical and have been happy with the quality of service and the prices. There are other high quality clinics and doctors out there that can help as well. Are physicians more hesitant to offer TRT unless your levels are extremely low? Yes and I believe it is due to several reasons in…

PHYSICAL: Recovering from cold, good time to deload This sounds like an excuse to not do hard things. I only generally need to deload when I'm feeling beat up from you know...training.

Lifting: Started up lifting again, hurt my back. I'm starting to think that deadlifts are just not for me. Kind of depressing. No, deadlifts are for most everyone. Both times I've hurt my back during a pull, it was because I wasn't using the valsalva breath during the set-up. Speaking of the set-up, I'd recommend getting a good quality lifting belt and following this 5 step process for setting up the deadlift. As I pointed out to someone in here a few weeks back, the worst thing to do when you t…

OYS 2 8-AUG-2018 Here is a link to my prior own your shit post. Side Bar I completed WISNIFG since my last post. Most of my focus over the past 6 weeks has been in trying to understand frame better and working on building my frame up. To this end, I signed up for the daily stoic email list, as I feel this will help improve my outcome independence and more generally my frame. Subsequent to finishing WISNIFG, I started on the Mindful Attraction Plan. I will go back to No More Mr. Nice Guy next onc…

Any doctor worth his degree that works in this area will tell you the same thing, don't chase a number and treat whatever symptoms you have.

I pulled / strained my lat on the left hand side last Monday. I was warming up for my deadlift sets, but was paying more attention to a chick in yoga pants jogging on the running machine in front of me than my form. I'm taking a week off to let it heal. It used to be that if I hurt my back I'd be laid up for days, if not weeks, barely able to move and bitching/moaning about how my back hurt to my wife. More recently, when I tweaked something in my back, I followed the advice given to me by my we…

The downside is that I've been struggling with Tennis Elbow so curls and some pulls are suffering. I really don't want to take a break as I've been making gains. I used to suffer from elbow pain from lifting. The first thing I did was unfuck my set-up for when I was squatting. The second thing I did was buy a set of expand your hand bands. Also available for purchase on Amazon.com.

I'm confused, I thought we are supposed to make ourselves the mental point of origin. Why should I give a shit about what she wants? I thought this was about figuring out what I want and going after it? Or is this a case of "you do you - figure out what works for you and discard the rest?" Also, given the choice between being "pretty strong but too fat" and "pretty lean but not strong" I'll take the former over the latter every day.

I still don't know what I'm doing, but I often go back to the Illimitable Men's Shit Test Encyclopedia for a refresher now and then.
