Yes agree. At least there should be much more discussion of what you’re doing when you don’t select for career, intelligence. RP will say these principles are just to get you laid, but sex leads to relationships pretty quick. There is little if any discussion about what kind of woman you should be in a relationship with, just the same pickup tactics applied to relationships. Why do a relationship on hard mode, constantly keeping your hot but vapid girl on an emotional razor’s edge, when you coul…

As a man who’s seen enough marriages fall apart, this kind of thing always makes me cringe a little. We’re specifically saying “sexy” pictures, not “I look nice today” pictures which I think is different. Everyone knows about the dopamine hit and addiction for approval caused by social media. Everyone knows the kind of attention that sex forward photos get online. I feel like it tugs your loyalties away from family and friends and towards leering strangers and acquaintances online. After all who…

Yeah basically. Also could be the way I am presenting myself, who knows. Just trying different things at this point to see what happens

Whenever it comes up, there’s a lot of: “…oh. Okay….” type reactions and silence. One girl said she was fine with it, but noted it was pretty recent, and was lightheartedly calling me “divorced guy.” Just teasing but still. Could be I’m reading into it too much, who knows. For me it’s been officially “over” for more than a year, and the paperwork was mostly a formality, but still it sounds recent depending on where you start the clock.

Any guys done the full-on shirtless post-workout mirror selfie in your OLD profile? How did it work out? I know everyone says not to do it. Debating if I should do that or a more tasteful tanktop outside pic. Mid 30’s if that makes a difference. My divorce was finalized a few months ago. Tried a more relationship-y vibe in my profile but women seem to be standoffish about my “recent” divorce after meeting them, so I figure I should just embrace it for now.

What about this subreddit, except it isn’t full of bitter nerds and feminists, and you can just talk about stupid dating/relationship thoughts. Like a more fun and less tragic version of this. No axes to be grinded. No dating oppression Olympics. A utopian society of horny people.

I actually have a running theory that this is a way better way to meet women. Men like dating apps more than women do. Women like social media more than men. There are much more popular female influencers because women aspire to it. So IF you could work your way into IG or any social media I think it is a great idea. Me personally, I have a hard time because only a few people in my circle use it, and none of them are big social media types. I am working on it, probably will get it figured out so…

37M. Recently started dating again after a divorce. Might be unpopular but I find OLD a much better solution for me personally. I wouldn’t say I am awkward but I always had trouble navigating social circles to find viable dates. With OLD I already hooked up with 2 girls and when we split they’re gone, not hanging around gossiping among my friends. I would say people seem much more polarized with their intentions now. No “getting to know someone” phase; everyone wants to know right away whether y…

what are men whining about? Have a job where u can provide and dont be a dick? And groom LOL divorce discussions are literally full of men who did this and their wives left anyway. Supportive provider doesn’t get it done. I would say it requires those things PLUS anticipating wildly shifting needs, some of it contradictory, and offering endless validation. Not just support, constant mental labor.

Women can’t live together and somehow it’s still men’s fault

Every nurse I’ve met is a certain way, like kinda extra, very pushy, trying to “run the show” so to speak. It might work for some people, generally not the kind of person I’d get along with. Not because I’m afraid of women; I just want a partnership not a competition. Seems to get worse if they identify with nursing as a personality trait, or work in an ER.
