From a post titled "Hey hormones. Chill the eff out" regarding wanting babies after period (ovulation), despite otherwise regularly not wanting children This frenzy only lasts about four days, and then after that I am insanely grateful that I have the IUD because I do not know what I would do if I did not have that level of contraceptive protection. Poking holes in condoms, "forgetting" to take a pill. My body even goes so far as to think "Hey you, random good looking man who is not my husband! …

Interesting topics, but TRP is focused on how things are, not how things "should" or "could" be. As such, answers would probably vary but reflect the individual responding, and not representative of TRP.

Good use of the neuter pronoun for Nice Guys.

Just because you know her, doesn't mean you automatically start her out at a more committed level. For many reasons, it's better to promote qualified people than have to demote unqualified people.

You went on one date ("first date"), haven't had sex yet, and you're already convinced you want an LTR? Slow down, cowboy.

I believe 2 years of marriage is the cutoff to change from "conditional residency" to "permanent residency" in the green card application process. In other words, the foreigner marries a U.S. citizen, and then divorces after two years to go through the green card/naturalization process without any further need of the ex-spouse.

I never have this issue person to person but over text girls just complete decrease their effort levels. This, among other reasons, is why text should be used minimally. Ideally you would only use it to set up the next meeting. My standard response is "only boring people get bored."

I would like more women/families to adopt rather than expend resources on methods to increase fertility, but the drive to produce one's own offspring is understandable. I suppose there's also room to acknowledge the potentially heavy mental and physical burden (episiotomy, post partum depression) of pregnancy that could be avoided with adoption. On the other hand, I don't want any kids at all, so I suppose I'm a "dead end" outlier.

I thought your question Have any women caught themselves doing something like that or just anything that TRP talks about? implied that it was posted for women. I haven't known any women to be aware of this specifically, though I know several (including self-described feminists) who have expressed RP observations and understanding.

It sounds like you're too focused on women/sex. Perhaps you still crave their validation. Do you have other areas of your life that have been a source of joy? A sport, a hobby, even work? Maybe take a break from women for a bit.

This means she's focused on children. Her priorities are for a provider, not a lover. She's still attracted to the (exciting but broke) Stud, but will marry the (boring but wealthy/secure) Dud. After the kid arrives, she'll be even more focused on her child and less on her husband (with often predictable results). Why not build those meaningful, edifying life experiences together with a younger woman? Seems you have a better chance at creating a foundation of mutual attraction and shared experie…

While this is true, TRP theory says the majority of women do not want a LTR with a man that earns less money than they do (or is otherwise less wealthy). Some women, despite a previous focus on their careers, will be happy to stay at home when the children start to arrive. At that point, she won't be earning more than her husband.

Yes, go for the practice. You don't have to (continue to) fuck this girl or give her any more attention than you want to. Depending on what YOU want, you can do it just to have fun, expand your social circle, or game her friends (make sure you have an exit plan, may not be compatible with expanding social circle). You might want to see a professional about that Superman-to-nobody feeling. Your call.

Because men look for women who exhibit "status". That means expensive clothing, it means diverse clothing, it means jewelery. So, just how much jewelry, expensive/diverse clothing, or other forms of "status" does it take to get your dick hard? I don't buy it. I much prefer the interpretation of the first writer, who seemed to concede the possibility, but simply argued that it would cause the male to secede his control while simultaneously leaving the female unsatisfied, for she can not experience the paternal figure while simultaneously herself playing the maternal role. If she is unsatisfied with this type of love, how long do you think her love will last?

Discretion - she must feel that you don't "kiss and tell" Plausible Deniability - she must feel that "it just happened" so that she doesn't feel like a slut or cheater Logistics - combining the first two to make it happen: a place to be alone, a reason to be alone, a reason for deniability (often alcohol, but this can lead to other problems) If she wants to fuck you, she will play along. If you expose her affair, be prepared for a nasty fallout with serious consequences. If she really likes you,…

I thought about the costs of living and actually there aren't many expenses. You pay for food and a bigger house, thats about it. Did you just think about it, or actually research it? Kids are expensive, especially if you want to give them a "good life." Consider that the cost per child is more likely to be a percentage of your income rather than the lowest flat rate. Is the mother going to be satisfied with your bare minimum expenditure (this is a key part of woman's fitness test for a mate)? A…

Twice I've been offered money to marry for citizenship, and others here fantasize about marrying foreign women, so your information is important. That said, I didn't specify the country or the person receiving the potential benefit of citizenship. I may be the one wanting to move and maintain residency. Otherwise, I have zero interest in marriage.
/r/TheRedPill27/03/14 04:23 PM

I think this is a more valid question that doesn't start from the assumption that marriage is somehow worthwhile to begin with (thus needing reasons against). The only answer that seems significant to me is citizenship.

Not all children/grandchildren are a source of joy to their parents/grandparents. Even if you have the perfect marriage, your wife may die long before you do. Red pill, blue pill, whatever. At the end of your life you may be in roughly the same situation as you described regardless of how you got there.
/r/AlreadyRed27/02/14 08:09 PM

I may be unusual among TRP in that I don't really care if my FWBs and plates sleep with other people. I make that clear, and several have still decided to be exclusive with me (aloof, options, etc, etc) - or so they say. You might say that's a de facto poly relationship, but I don't have any desire for a cohabiting, "primary" lover as presented in the article. I'd much rather keep my independence and freedom.

if it makes it better semantically, remove the word "love" and replace with "really like" or something similar When you eventually break up with her, be sure to tell her you strung her along a few extra months/years because you "really liked" her.
/r/TheRedPill19/02/14 10:03 AM

If it is true that you will not marry her or have children with her, then you are just acting out of selfishness and cowardice There's nothing wrong in choosing a life without marriage or children, but don't try to dress this up as an act of "love." After your edit: You need to decide what you want to do with your life. Consider your options, but it's easier to get into marriage and start a family than it is to get out.

I won't speak to the actions as being admirable, but there is nothing inherently "manly" about it. Is it similarly "manly" for a woman caring for a non-biological child in a relationship?

From Wikipedia: The sexy son hypothesis of evolutionary biology was first proposed by Ronald Fisher in 1930. It proposes that a female animal's optimal choice among potential mates is a male whose genes will produce male offspring with the best chance of reproductive success. In particular, the sexy son hypothesis implies that a potential mate's capacity as a caregiver or any other direct benefits the male can offer the female (e.g. nuptial gifts, good territory) are irrelevant to his value as t…

Selvaratnam is also hoping that her book will be a policy changer. She's advocating for better health insurance to cover infertility treatments as well as better public education for women. I support universal health care and covering contraception, but this goes too far for me. Or maybe it's bad experiences with good people. We can talk all day about how things "should be" or how we want them to be. I'll leave that to feminists and MRAs. Really opening up emotionally takes trust. I would guess that the female fantasy of a man doing this is because it shows trust in her AND it is a contrast to an otherwise stoic presentation. The problem with revealing additional money is the potential for the joint account to no longer be viewed as the limit of funds. The temptation, or just the option, to spend more of the joint account is introduced. I save money with every paycheck. I know that savings is there if I need it ( peace of mind, future plans), but I pretend like it doesn't exist so I'm not tempted to spend beyond my non-savings budget. How likely is someone else to respect that, especially if they didn't earn it in th…

That sort of desperation just isn't attractive, especially if she's been crying and pleading. I guess some guys get off on that, but not me. It also opens the door again, especially in her mind. If you liked her enough to have sex again, maybe you'll change your mind. You can end up repeating a break up multiple times and risk escalati…
