Pretty sure it's women's higher neuroticism that causes the perception gap. They face less toxicity but perceive more, so on all the self-report studies say they face more. I've only ever seen one non-self-report study, and that's basically the contention.

As an American I notice in Sweden and Germany I see hot guys ALL the time because they are tall and fit. It doesn’t make them less hot because there are more of them. Yeah, but if you grew up here, your standards would've been adjusted for here. This is why passport bros passport bro. It's not just economic. It's physical and sociological as well.

It's incredibly dumb to play those kinds of games. I'll be real though, this story smells fishy because I refuse to believe anyone over 16 could take Tate seriously. I don't know why you would even talk to him at all anymore. That will kind of become an indictment against you in the eyes of other guys, just so you know. It makes it look like you're keeping the door open for him to come back into your life; despite now knowing what a dipshit he is.

Again. Is the scope of OP's statement restricted to this subreddit? He even mentions a Twitter post, so I don't know why you would assume it is.

Huh? You completely misread that part of my comment. I'm talking about the argument the guy in the picture you sent made. Also, he didn't claim 100% of men defend women in 100% of circumstances--it's about a wider pattern.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 02:54 AM

I don't know if you all just heard OP say 100% of men do that somehow? Like, the point is that there's a substantial amount of men who do so, maybe 10 - 50% depending on the situation; where perhaps 1 - 10% of women do the same. Women simply have an in-group bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 02:51 AM

You can't say that based off of one example that you personally happen to disagree with, lmao x) Besides, it is an argument I usually hear women tell men who can't get laid. Like. The irony is palpable here.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 02:41 AM

Hmh. So all men's algorithms show men defending women, and women's algorithms never show men defending women. And you said you yourself don't stand up to other women. Curiously, you seem to be making OP's argument, but you're arguing with it.

Better yet: Berate both. Also, it's common sense in game theory that your solution does not work.

Yes, but you brought it up out of nowhere in a conversation about the ability to get dates--not sex. For asymmetries... Women might be unhappier with their dates in general, but it's likely a result of the paradox of choice. Women not having orgasms during casual sexual encounters is almost entirely due to the woman's own issues. Lecherous comments are probably more common among men, but the problem here is our perspectives are different; things we say as compliments are often taken as insults. …

Except there isn’t, especially in anonymous online spaces. At this point, everyone's been on the internet for long enough to know that anonymity and transience isn't enough to erase social pressures. Why is this so hard for men? Women actually want to like and relate to men Now that is pure golden irony right there.

First of all... nice pivot into the men only care about sex trope. Second. You all seem to miss the fact that men also face the same potential downsides of dates as you do. We can have bad dates. We can have rumors of how we're fuck-boys or inexperienced, or not well endowed or unable to bring a girl to have an orgasm fuck our reputations up. We can end up in a relationship with someone we're incompatible with, and it can stifle our souls, too. The only difference is how easily women can have a …

Hahah, oh god. I have a friend who's been on these apps for literally... 6+ years at this point with absolutely nothing to show for it. He gets matched with, then the girls ghost pretty much immediately. Last year our female friend broke up with her boyfriend, and this year decided she's tired of being single, so she got on Hinge and within a week she had several dates lined up. It has probably been the fastest no-pill to black-pill transition I've ever seen.

I don't know if I agree that they're just as bad as each other. There's absolutely no need to "keep up with that". Just sift through some people, like the ones you like, and if it's a match you just talk to that person. How does knowing 999+ people have liked your profile prevent you from swiping to find the ones you like back?

The vast majority of people across all cultures of the world seem to feel like sex is a crucial part of romantic relationships, and feel lonely in dead bedroom situations. When speaking of how people feel, I think an appeal to majority is a valid ontology. It's also not necessarily just having the sex itself, but the access to it. And it makes complete sense from an evolutionary psychology perspective as well, and it also explains why women may not feel it as strongly as some men. Not having acc…

Most of the time--not always--I think the "women don't owe you x" is a way for them to deflect from having to empathize with men. Think about it; they usually say this when men are complaining about their situation, like just in general.

Some of the criticism of the whole "boy-mom" TikTok trend included some really unhinged claims of unfair treatment of daughters by parents when they have one or more brothers. Needless to say, they don't accept any arguments that the opposite exists as well.

No way. It definitely says "This is what women actually want compared to what incel and non-incel men think women want". In the end it posits a sort of 'truth' as to what women want, when it's really just what women think/say they want. Of course a "black-pilled" person is more likely to disagree with the (what I think we can call) "blue-pill" narrative.

First of all that's not what the CDC said. They said "over half" of women and 1/3 of men have been sexually harassed (which is kind of a meaningless term, it just means you felt negatively about a vaguely sexual event, such as being complimented by a man you find unattractive). They then go on to say 1/4 women have been raped... Did you bother checking their sources for those claims? Well, they have their own researcher Kathleen C. Basile, who has written a handful of school project level papers…

The big problem with this is intrasexual competition between men make many fall into the feminist pit of dogma. White-knights, simps, pushovers, there are so many guys who will go to any length and sacrifice every ounce of self-respect for women. These women will never face consequences for being horrible people.
/r/MensRights23/08/23 06:50 PM

To be fair, I think men also don't generally tend to "see" un-attractive women in much the same way. I guess the difference is that the average man views the majority of women as attractive and the average woman views the majority of men unattractive.
/r/MensRights09/08/23 01:08 PM
2

Exactly. There really isn't a way not to sexually objectify. What are you supposed to do, "think about the fact that they're a human being just like you." Like no shit, lady, I never once forgot that. Are they just projecting? It's also more humanising than most things to be seen sexually, if you think about it. If someone sexualizes non-human things that is either seen as fetishistic or in the worst cases it's literally criminal.

Yeah, one I see a lot is "You don't do chores for her, that's why she doesn't want to sleep with you." Just ugh... It's clear that they don't view sex as an activity that's enjoyable for both parties involved. Even "sex-positive" feminists view it as something women put up with for men, or use as currency to get men to do stuff for them. Even if they want to be starfishes, sometimes rebranded as "used as sex-toys" or "lay back and be worshipped" (which are just fresh coats of paint on the same c…

Feminism has had many strange bed-fellows á "the enemy of my enemy". They're lucky the ally that came through is trans-radical-activism and not islam, in my opinion. Though we might need to give that one some time, who knows, we might see some sharia laws protecting the virtue of woman-kind in a few decades. They subsumed these other ideologies like a body-part transplant (no pun intended), and now that the body is rejecting it, the immune system is attacking the host body. The problem with that…

I have no friends who are not feminists, and a few have been of the difficult varieties. Casually saying things like "men are trash" after reading an article about one man doing something bad, even though they would never permit the same when the perpetrator is a woman. I don't know, it's kind of impossible to meet people who are not feminists where I live. Thankfully most are still good people. Some of them even have all the same takes as me even though they cling to the feminist label for what…

How is someone deadbeat when they didn't want the child and got trapped and scammed into it by a conniving sociopath? You're forgetting the circumstance we're talking about here. We weren't talking about fathers who walked out on their children. We're talking about victims.

Hat off to Reddit for allowing that sub to exist no matter how despicable and ridiculous I find it. Got to respect that. Yeah, the name of the sub is about men, but looking at the posts tells a different story. Maybe calling it "meinkampf" breaks some CoC. I think it may have to do with the size of a country's lower class. Mexico and China both have a much bigger lower class than my country (Sweden) where practically everyone is middle class (from my perspective at least, maybe there's research that says otherwise). In that case, holding a high-esteemed job becomes more important because of the notion of heredity that exist to a greater extent there. In the second one she should've said "people related" and "non-people related." Biology, medicine …

The problem is that it isn't visible even when it's right in front of people's eyes. Like OP said in this thread: When men are tortured, when men are killed by the thousands, when men are burned alive, when there is literally a quote that means "All men must die" and one character says "Yes, but we aren't men", it never was turned into an article how 'sexist' Game of Thrones is against men. There are many sources that are not feminist which show the teaming up of women against a man/men. I actually really enjoy gender-banter, as I call it. Now that the odds are staggeringly in favour of women, though, it's not as fun. Living in Japan for the past year, which is not as far down the rabbit hole as western countries, has let me re-experience what I used to like about the teasing between the genders. After the banter subsides, the men all get together and unite in favour of the guy and…

It sounds like voting in a democracy. If everyone votes in their own self-interest, then the outcome should favour what most people need/want. Guaranteeing something for a group/class in which you belong does ultimately favour you. I don't think doing so is wrong, but it depends on each individual case of what is being argued. With men and women, however, despite being about 50/50 of the population, because of the in-group/out-group preferences, women are favoured at every turn. It's a little sy…

I don't think "treating her like crap" is the right term. Not going out of your way to be super kind and helpful like a lapdog does not equate to treating someone like crap. "Don't put pussy on a pedestal" is a much better saying in my book. It also doesn't work well on girls who can just find someone else within half a minute to grovel at her feet.

Trashtalking feminism is okay. The problem exists where people use women in place of feminism. It's an easy enough mistake, since those two things unfortunately go hand in hand a lot, but it looks bad, especially to those uninitiated who come here.

Back then there was another sort of equillibrium. The problem, if anything, was that you couldn't choose which side of the scales you wanted to be on. Still, I think most people would choose to be on the women's side of that. Basically, I am talking about women not being treated as fully adult, but neither being expected to put up with all the heavy stuff that came/comes with the territory of growing up as it did for men.
