-2	My brother in law was forced to get a circumcision at age 17 by his mother. The women I speak to don't see this as sexual abuse. His penis was damaged and he still is humiliated to this day. It's culture in their family and country. If you were deaf or a CODA, you might have made your decision differently. For you he was going to be around hearing and looked at the risks of an implant. There was a fight to get contraception and birth control covered under health insurance companies and Catholic hospitals. The Supreme Court allowed Hobby Lobby to block it for the employees. Then you have the abortion rights where a non viable pregnancy can't be terminated in certain states. It has parental rights with religious rights against individual privacy rights and all of them are protected. It's done at a time in a boy's life where parental rights seem to favor over individual. Religion would have to end along with reforms to child healthcare in term of what they can consent to. 3	Prevalence of Male Circumcision across the world. Doesn't this piss anyone off? How can something like this be so common, yet it is this not illegal or even a social issue within any country? Still haven't given an example. Some feminists see it invasive to their son's body and are against it and some are still for it. They don't have a monolith opinion on circumcision because it is the male body and therefore not a feminist topic. Female circumcision happens in the middle east or Africa and isn't particularly common at least in the West. 1	Does circumcision really help decrease the possibly of getting AIDS? It's probably mentioned in a conclusion in one of the studies but education and safe habits are a way to decrease the likelihood. Some organizations just over factor in the culture of the group they are studying. Africa is very conservative with poor infrastructure. I'm left wing Christian in a developed country with a good education system. Culturally, my son will have other preventative options available and he would know about them hopefully. 1	Circumcision in the New Testament: a survey Maybe in India where it is tribal thinking based off of religion but not in the US. The religious nuts in the late 1800s never wanted it routine but only those that suffered from masturbation addiction. There had to be some perceived medical benefit being mostly white Christians. Jews and Muslims don't even make up 3% of the population. 1	Circumcision in the New Testament: a survey It's true that the US has been very Puritan and circumcision was used to discourage masturbation in the Victorian times but the mid-20th century prevalence was due to medical inaccuracies with hygiene and care. In the modern sense, it has never been religion as the key deciding factor. 2	Circumcision I don't think my Dad was and don't think I missed out on anything. A doctor told me when I was little and it took a couple sentences to explain. I don't think I will tell my kid that he isn't circumcised. I might give him instructions but I think there is some benefit for being naïve. -2	MensLib is a joke I remember seeing this study a couple days ago. It doesn't show anything. It's 500 men and it is minimal. They could do this to another set and get completely different results. I think our culture and gender norms don't teach men how to properly express themselves when they are frustrated. 2	Circumcision linked to ACEs and violent households, says new study hmmm...no. Bad science. They surveyed 33% more circumcised than intact. 375 to 125. The study doesn't mean anything because the results are in quite a large margin of error. It is about the same if you read the study and look at the questions asked. 2	Why do some parents who have immigrated to the US from countries where circumcision is rare still do it? Parent really don't have to make sense with it and it is pretty random. My mother thought it was going to be along culture lines. I had the same experience in the locker room and both of them basically told me that I am Christian and deal with it.
