Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. Some behaviors indeed evolve out of convenience but it isn't prescriptive.

Socially avoidant doesn't mean introverted.

In terms of approaching, some basic traits prevail. No questions about that. But nobody insists that way. It's just that they don't ask millions of others what they like or there's no congregation on that. Nobody asks what others think before they want what they want.

Even that requires some self reflection in terms of choices.

Don't they say it themselves?

I thought they were posing as male feminists to alleviate loneliness.

One should call out anyone with predatory behavior. Being a male feminist is irrelevant to that.

Hyper vs hypo agency fallacy, that's what this double standard is called. But are those problems actually solved or get more entrenched? If there are solved why are there so many complainers? No matter what we do, we can't make others make healthy relationship choices. That's one thing they need to do for themselves. We can take them to water but can't make them drink. Otherwise, there wouldn't be that many toxic relationships where everyone else screams at them to part ways but they get togethe…

Yeah, so there's no reason to bother with their mindset. Let their auntie worry about that.

I mean crazy left is, but it's not necessarily "more left". It must be remembered that "center" isn't the universally righteous position, for it's always relative and it shifts depending on trends. Feminists are quote often liberals which lean center generally.

What's the end goal? If it's solely about numbers it is a double-edged sword. You may add numbers to your camp, but what happens in the process can just as easily strengthen opposing camp by adding troops to it. Consequentalism operates in theory; in practice, consequences can be unintended especially if we forget we are dealing with people, not boiling water. If you're pushed into things that are detrimental to your well-being for some good of society how can you keep justifying it to yourself?…

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates06/03/25 05:35 PM

That's BS, for crazy left isn't necessarily more left than the left. It's just out of touch and conspiratorial. Horseshoe theory claims "the center" is always the true choice but they forget it is always relative based on the circle one is surrounded by.

Socializing doesn't guarantee lack of loneliness, look at celebrities who report loneliness. They can't connect with others the way they want, not for lack of people around them.

But if she's that shallow, would you want her anyway? Being a bi man who mostly leans towards other men, my options are rather murky too. But even in same sex relationships there are labels with shallow demands. I can't control what others want or why. The issue is; I wouldn't even look the way of someone who makes certain demands. If you see these as illogical and yet still get upset for being eliminated over them, you don't realize the bullet you dodged and should work on your self-esteem musc…

Once you look enough it is not that hard to "upgrade". The thing is, if you view your partner as something to be upgraded. Because your upgrade will have faults and things that will rub you the wrong way. And it will be so on the other way around too.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 11:26 PM

Both are issues, yet they needn't often be corrected in complicated ways. Once you're observant enough they're rather easy to notice. They can be solved at a personal level not societal level.

Presumably they would spend some money on doing X, but they suddenly get stingy about it because it's a date. Don't they really spend any money outside? If they are that committed to the idea of dating that they use an app and follow through, maybe even paying for the app yet worrying about the few pennies on the actual date? Then it's either that or they're self-sabotaging, neither of which is a good footing for the start.

Plenty of introverts have partners. As for "relying on someone too much", well; we can't expect one person to do and be everything.

Never heard of the murder part, but if someone is preoccupied with a certain pecking order, that tells a lot about them as well. You may observe how someone acts when they're with friends, which may give you valuable clues. Besides, you may observe the pecking order with someone without friends either. (Like how do others approach them, it isn't necessary friends that put you into that order) And frankly, this "they say X but they really mean Y" thing is quite off-putting coming from anyone. It …

If someone can't contribute to what you plan foe a date, it can get exhausting. If you implying they had a boy toy, be more creative about it. Stop making up imaginary scenarios and hurting yourself.

SES doesn't exclusively mean income.

I hope it doesn't apply to disability. Otherwise perfectly sensible.

If they don't associate with them more, it's because they see no reason to. As for LTRs hedonistic adaptation applies for her.

That means caring on some level. As for being passionate, ppl can get their fill of it thru various means.

His previous gf was also in college, so he must have cared to an extent; on educational level. And frankly I don't see how it's something to get thorny about.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 04:57 PM
1

These are not enough. First, there's a level of compatibility. Second, you would need to know they're not with you for a comeup; which makes taking SES into equation quite sensible.

It doesn't make sense to justify what a potential partner does for someone to others. It's their choice, and if they can justify it to themselves it is all that matters. Besides, if we are to talk about a "market value", that's what prostitution is for. Money issue? I doubt. If it's because they're broke, there are still ways to make an effort. They tend to think they should protect their assets from any onlookers -i.e. their dates- and any date that involves money would make them preys.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 03:05 PM

Or it could also mean he's simply not that into you. If someone pinches pennies to that extent, I'd assume they just didn't like spending time with me that much and still went along with it anyway because they had nothing better to do. You wouldn't be all that stringent about paying a few pennies -not saying you must spend a fortune- for something that gives you enjoyment.

Okay, explain to me how we should advise our fellow men who complain about it. Because I gave a similar advice; as a man who has dated both genders. Was I mistaken by telling them to stop obsessing over it as it would get them fooled by someone who would want to take advantage of them? What should anyone say to that?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:57 PM
1

It's called "trying". Don't follow someone around in the hopes of getting their affection, unless you want pity.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:51 PM
1

So does yours. "My point is the all-encompassing reality while yours are entirely based on feelings" isn't a valid claim to win an argument, and those who don't get into such arguments have way more chances of getting optimal results. Dating is not a self-appointed meritocracy, you can't convince people to date you by pointing out how "realistic" your fixation and entitlement is. Being on the receiving end of that treatment is not safe at all, and the other person has a right to take precautions…

It's called prostitution. The equivalent is asking women to pay. You can reject both, it's not so uncommon. It's up to them. If they find it so, it is acceptable. They're both preferences, but it's foolish to pretend they don't come with consequences. Such attitude will alienate them from many otherwise good matches. That would take the assumption that only men enjoy sex, which is untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:43 PM

Well, their attraction still encompasses far and wide. Not every woman will be attracted to the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:38 PM

Hesitancy is sensible, writing it all off isn't. That demeanor can be figured out too; unless you jump in with your whole wallet on the table. It's only a matter of acknowledging they're not in it for you; but people often find it hard to accept to preserve their self-esteem.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:38 PM

If she's dating you, she must be attracted. Of course, that attraction may lessen or grow stronger depending on the process. Dating encompasses this process.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:35 PM

I didn't hear much of it. Unless they deliberately want to insult you. It just goes on like "go meet people Yada yada" and there's a point behind that. There's also a difference between being lonely overall and romantic challenges. When one conflates the latter with the former, they can get that answer; albeit mistakenly at times.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 02:25 PM
1

There is an overlap between sex and romance, just because someone desires one doesn't mean they should rule out the other altogether.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:48 AM
1

Improving overall social skills also helps with improving romance, who would hair thought. If you have romantical isolation issues, saying "I'm lonely" would cause it to be confused with overall loneliness, that one should also be obvious.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:45 AM
1

Well, it is not supposed to be a substitute. Otherwise it would have been romantic.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:28 AM

It is common enough. Most ppl who date aren't supermodels.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:25 AM

That can be argued with once all the stakes are open.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:23 AM

Middle East is a massive landmass. That being said, women could work in places that exclusively catered to other women. As for dangerous and physically demanding jobs, women have been involved in them even before the industrial revolution.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:17 AM

Well, clearly a lot of effort could have been spared to explain something that has an entirely different meaning. None of what the OP says is about these points.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:15 AM

You contradicted yourself in a paragraph. Humans can't love unconditionally, then you went on about offering unconditional love. If it was unconditional, then you'd be distributing it freely, why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:10 AM

Then leave your man when he is terminally ill to keep the scores. Or when he's ill for that matter. You won't prove yourself morally superior by repeating the same thing ad nauseum, not with those who have nothing to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:06 AM

Plants?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:05 AM

Adoptive families would beg to differ.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:04 AM

Unless you suggest not leaving means unconditional love, it is only limitedly relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 10:02 AM

Relationships are not charity foundations. You either accept the person as they are or not. People who date disabled folk are not some martyrs, they find meaning in these relationships too. As for the secret service agent, it's you who is putting thoughts into her mind. Perhaps she just doesn't think Trump is getting the country on a good path. Plenty of men defect in similar circumstances too, which doesn't have anything to do with love; unconditional or not. It's about professionalism and the …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:54 AM

People compromise on looks all the time. Familiarity can increase attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:51 AM

All of that can be included in love.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:40 AM

Would it be better of it was forced and she was lied to? One should be careful what they ask for. This is an anonymous platform, nobody is being humiliated as we don't know the gal concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:39 AM

That goes for women too. In many laws it's considered fair grounds for a faulty divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:31 AM

Then it means there's no attraction? Or there were strings attached and these ad no longer there? If you view sex as charity towards your partner, it's understandable that they would not take it well.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:27 AM

Even familial relationships can turn toxic and strained.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:25 AM

You don't have to, but it can happen. Still, unconditional love doesn't mean unconditional presence in someone's life; even for a parent.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:24 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
