It's foreign to my way of thinking. I was only exposed to heterosexual my young life. Never even met a gay person till college. I never knew there were so many categories.

Maybe cause (not all) many aging housewives aren't usually getting any younger or more competitive in the workplace as each year goes by. If the man is quite the earner the courts may want him to continue be the ward instead of the state picking up the tab.
