She might accidentally kill youMy ex-wife when we first met was impressed that I seem to know the answer to any question someone asked. Eventually that changed to "don't you just hate that he's always right?". After that, it seems she was always trying to set me up to make a mistake and would go to relentless lengths just to catch me being wrong somehow. All that drama instead of just being appreciative that I'm able to provide for a family, fix/repair problems, etc. To be clear, I'm wrong plenty, definitely not always right … | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/06/26 06:46 PM
HelpWhy Spain though? Is that where you are originally from? Custody cases are notoriously difficult even if you're in the same city. Moving away is choosing to make a difficult situation infinitely more difficult. If the child is born and raised in Washington then it's a very uphill battle convice a court that moving her across the world is what's best. If child has already lived in Spain or has close family there then it's possible to make argument it's better for her there. Otherwise it means her… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/06/23 04:57 PM
HelpIf you leave and move to the complete opposite side of the planet, that's on you. That guy you don't want your daughter around lives 9,000 miles closer to her than you do. I'm sure there's reasons you went to Spain instead of moving elsewhere in the same city, but regardless your current location puts you in a big disadvantage. I'd love to move back to the state i grew up in, but my current location is where my children were born and raised, so here i remain.. once they're adults and if they end… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/06/23 03:32 PM

Are these good enough reasons for me (31M) to divorce my wife (31F)?Don't have kids with her otherwise more lives will be ruined. Kids should be when you both feel absolutely 100% that both of your lives are better with each other together and your goals, lifestyles, attraction etc are matching. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/06/23 02:47 AM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Hindsight i should have. Prior that massive order my sales were mostly on the threshold of where it's still easier to remain sole proprietorship vs llc. There wouldn't have been anyway to hide the actual order though. Multiple 18-wheelers full loads of glass. Actually hindsight i would have just referred the job to one my competitors and just get a decent commission from it instead of doing entire project. But hindsight doesn't change current situation unfortunately. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/06/23 07:19 AM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Man you have no idea. Wild thoughts go through your mind when trying to figure it out, like an animal caught in a trap deciding to chew it's leg off to escape. Fear and panic can become debilitating. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 04:05 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation? There is a weird sense of freedom being in a hopeless situation. Most people worry about loosing what they have. Currently i have lost more than i may potentially ever have.. if i work 120 hours per week or zero hours per week mathematically/legally i could still be jailed... so in some ways it doesn't really matter what i do at this point. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:57 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Dream killer is exactly it. Psychologically i think that her outlook - she probably has some jealously of my talents to earn money doing something i enjoy - a source of satisfaction outside of her control - so her crushing that is her way of 'winning'. There's a good saying describing her type, "she's not happy until you're not happy". It's absurd. I recognize how extremely lucky I am to have been able to use my creativity to build a lucrative business. It took massive amounts of work, risk and … | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:53 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Yeah the accrued debt is the problem. Even if the courts reversed it now to where she is paying me it wouldn't even come close to fixing the tax debts, etc. Doom and gloom is a terrible lifestyle. I'm generally a pretty postive outlook optimistic person, but this feels utterly soul-crushing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:47 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation?I was jailed once, in 2016. Afterwards that was when i pretty much stopped paying taxes: IRS sends letters in mail vs family court sends handcuffs, so guess who is getting paid first. But IRS is a bomb waiting to go off. But the fear of jail sucks. It's a weird fear because it's not like they currently have a warrent to arrest me, but i also know that if the courts want to cash in their chips then they could confiscate everything i have and still jail me indefinitely. When i was jailed it sucked… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:39 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation? The assumption of predictable income works reasonably well for most people, if the roughly make the same income per year. In my situation it depends on sales - which could be double or half of previous year. Frustrating because she literally paid tons of money to lawyers to effectively dismantle my income ability. Literally killed the golden goose wanting to cut it open to get all the eggs at once instead of just letting it continually lay eggs. My suggestion was to do something like a realistic… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:26 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Uber wouldn't even pay enough to keep up with interest payments on the debt. I make more money doing my artwork than any normal job i could get, and i literally work every moment i can stay awake. I do have a long-shot idea I've been working on. Been filming my methods of production for past few years, and working on making a youtube channel to teach others how it's done. It's definitely a long-shot though - less than 1% of any youtube channels make any money, less than 1% of those make more tha… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 03:14 PM
What do you do in an impossible situation?Trust me i've considered it. Can't imagine leaving my kids behind though. But also fear that if i get imprisoned for unpaid support & unpaid taxes then that's also leaving my kids. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 05:54 AM
What do you do in an impossible situation?I wish i was lying, this is a nightmare. I'm smart enough to invent a style of artwork that i've sold millions of dollars worth, but definitely a dumbass for marrying a person people warned me not to. Attorney didn't seem to truly understand situation. Courts definitely didn't understand it. My business is really unusual and the courts don't care about what effects their judgements have on growing or shrinking my income. She was personal friends with the district attorney and they all seemed to … | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/06/23 05:38 AM
