Call her bluff and talk about it now, and divorce. Or...go against your instincts and wait until she divorces you later. If you didn't know this, ill impart this subs widsom: Women will stay married to a guy, knowing the entire time theyll divorce, for as many years as they need to So if it means staying for years until the youngest turns 10, or years until they get the promotion or a richer guy comes along, the house totally paid off, etc, that's what they'll do. Now or so much more painfully l…

Women plan it years in advance. Yours did for sure. She probably knew the last 5 years or so she was going to leave you. It's why they "get over" divorce faster than us.

This comment is brutal and great. One of the best I've seen on here.

Yeah women plan it years in advance. 15 year relationship? She probably knew the last 4 years or so she was going to leave you. Maybe even before.

"And it is all subconcious pre-programmed behavior for her, not intentional manipulation." Women aren't robots. They know exactly what theyre doing. And yes, it's intentional. It's naive to pretend otherwise.

I have a good friend that has a business and hires mostly women. She gives me the down low. And they absolutely mock their exes for this and share it with each other. And trying to get back together, crying in front of them etc. Always and forever, if she wants the divorce, give it to her. We didnt have kids. If i live to 100 i will never reach out to her again. And we will never get together on her behest for brunch to "catch up". It's possible to watch your sons basketball game and not sit by …

I know this comes off as snide on my part. And I don't mean it to sound that way. But As a neutral observer, reading about your ex who's in her 40s, say she hasnt found her soul mate makes her sound like a loser. Don't worry, even if she stays with the new guy, she'll get bored of him too. And she'll mention it to you years from now btw. Again, even if she's with somebody. They tend to do that. Maybe when she does be like "Hey I guess the search for your soulmate continues"

Number one factor in divorce? A man's employment status. There are soo many men out there that are a job loss away from getting hit with papers. https://www.thecut.com/2016/07/husbands-job-predicts-divorce.html

"She said we need to work on ourselves 'away from each other'." That's not a thing. She either 1. Fully intends to divorce you and wants a "Trial seperation" to keep you as a plan b. Or 2. She will use the seperation as a hall pass to have sex with other people while you're seperated. Or a combination of the two.

The truth is..a lot of women see men simply as a means to an end. If one "job" goes south? What do you do? You just get another one. If your circumstances are such that you don't currently need a man...err I mean job, you stay jobless until the need arises. FWIW for all the guys on here, including yourself, your ex wife will see the new guy in the same light. The game doesn't end with us. Don't ever forget that.

She's keeping you around as a safety net, and will throw you into the trash bin the moment she has something firm lined up with another guy.

My ex (we were still married, few months seperated ) was living in another city, and wanted me to come stay at her apartment for the weekend. But said some similar stuff to what your ex has said. Aka..she wanted a booty call, not to have a genuine weekend to see about us. I missed her greatly and was desperate to get her back. I told her no. No firm commitment she wanted to work on things...I wouldn't go down. It's one of my proudest moments in an otherwise humiliating divorce journey.

Every "trial" separation I've witnessed, and I mean all of them, Is because one of the spouses wants to fuck other people but use the separation as a hall pass. Im sure this situation was no different. If woman are throwing out the D word...you go forward with the plans. Always. You either 1. Make it clear you won't tolerate D word tantrums. Or 2. You start taking control of your new life. For men there's no other option. She wants the divorce, fucking give it to her! Also, don't move out of the…

If there's no kids you shouldn't ever talk to your ex-wife for the rest of your life. That's like...the least they deserve. With kids? Like friends friends? No. Because 90% of the time thats code for "he's playing along as friends hoping to get back together with her, she knows that, and is using that to her advantage". Divorced guys with kids post things like that on here all the time. He'll be 1, 2 3...5! Years post divorce, and it's obvious he's still into her and she breadcrumbs him and he t…

This was the worst advice i got about my divorce. I waited a year. I regret it. I should've started dating right after my ex told me we weren't going to reconcile. If you're not reconciling and you want to date...do it.

I mean most women divorce because they're bored and want new D. 🤷‍♂️ Fair play I say.

Now that my divorce is in the taillights I tell dudes this all the time. The game doesnt end with us. Same playbook, as you call it, for the next guys.
