Watcher effect. Classic. Basically when an unordinary action is needed (like here, we speak about getting implied in violent stuff, whuich is scary AND out the social convention) our first move is to analysis the situation, look at what the others do. As evevyone watch their neighbourg, nobody move. As nobody move, people are afraid to intervene and being judged for doing wrong. Yeah, it stupid, but pretty powerful. That could be one of the reason men suicide is 3 time highter than women suicide. But it not explain why divorced men suicide is 9 time highter than divorced women. Single and married man have gun too.

Depend for who. It's pretty feminist but not sweden. I think the situation here is more due to the economy. Denmark economy is ultra advanced. Meaning it often require an heavy training/investment. So a child cost a lot. And they don't want migrant, so they can't use immigration to compensate the lack of natality.

Fun fact, when i was at university, my teacher give us a text about these feminist, and how, by tje white feather movement, they have proved that they were still patriot ! ...pretty easy to be patriot when you send people fight for you. I was a feminist (i'm still one, even not a full one today) but this pushed me to make a project (we had to do a project for this cpurse) about the issue of feminism. The teacher didn't like it :D. We still made it for this course.

Pretty hypocrite to push to something they'll never have to do. But it was the war. It sad that only men served as "canon meat" and feminist have pushed for. But things are, they needed canon meat. You don't win the war with nice idea. Necessity always goes first. Ethic has a too long and beautiful dress to go to the mandatory narrow pass, it need necessity to clean its way first.

Well, the most logic explanation is the percentage of divorce initiated by women (something like 75%? Someone has the data for it?). So most of divorced man didn't ask for it, not the majority of women. Divorced women has 3 times more chance to have initiated the divorce. Meaning divorced men have 3 time more chance to get divorced against their will. If we mix that to the classic suicide stat (men have 3 time more chance to kill themselve than women), we have a triple multiply per 3 so 9.
